Thanks, but 'rant' would suggest a grand passion or intense hatred for the subject that I simply don't possess.

That was simply a cold, methodical dissection of a pathetic, minor annoyance, whose impact on my day to day social and sexual life is non-existent, because I would never, ever bang the type of girl who possessed enough obvious self-loathing and undisguised penis envy issues to be one of her readers.

The commentary is too subtle to make a difference on the intended targets.

My take away is that the call is for women to have agency and take personal responsibility for themselves.

For messages to impact the target audience the right way, they have to come from the other "Sheep" (or an appearance of such)

Perhaps a more productive, but long term, approach is infiltrate and change from the inside

Times change, Poaster. Things change. We have to be responsive to conditions on the ground.

The travel section is just as active as it always has been. It's just that the focus of things has expanded to embrace a wider range of topics.

"I never encounter Lindy Wests in real life." This is a commonly heard argument. But it's short-sighted.

Even if you never personally encounter them, they still have wide-ranging influence to shape the public debate and the popular culture. They have influence. And they need to be confronted, and attacked.

Just because you don't "see" something doesn't mean that it poses no threat.

Make no mistake where they intend to take the rape hysteria trend. It is following the trajectory of the alleged child abuse trend. "My dad abused me because he didn't buy me a car for my 16th birthday!" The end goal is ALL unhappy women will be able to claim rape regardless of circumstances. What about false accusations of kidnapping and having taken a woman to your house forcefully? Who will prove or disprove that?
