I'd like to see secular conversion campaigns.
Patriotic, promiscuous women with a thing for men with dark beards can volunteer themselves to help with the cause. They will be given ample quantities of fine liquor to aid in their conversions, alongside their "missionary work".
Tagline will also be "a wank a day keeps martyrdom away".
"Oh wow, this is much better than getting angry over nothing. I can't believe I didn't know! Sorry Muhammed, it's not working out."

Given that this was apparently Malmo, and the guy doing the head pounding (is that a metro cop or a rent a cop?) isn't exactly pasty white himself, isn't there a decent chance that it was just a Muslim cop smacking around some skateboarder?
Apparently he's from a refugee home or something. I'll be the first to admit I don't know shit about Malmo but it doesn't seem like a very safe city. Attacks on synagogues, Swedes being threatened, a boy got beaten up for having blue eyes although I'm not sure if it was a different city but still that is just fucked up, and fucking car bombs.
The kid is also resisting. Not saying what the cop did was justified but I can see why officer used such force.

RE: Terror attack in Denmark - 3 police officers shot at free speech meeting
To me, the most depressing thing about all of this ignorant violence is that it feeds and empowers the gods of Ignorance and Savagery on both sides.
Voices of moderation and reason are drowned in a cacaphony of hysteria. Maybe this is goal of such atrocities.
Now would be a good time to take a close look at Goya's "El Coloso", which envisions a ruined landscape stalked by the spectre of war.
And also his "black paintings." They depict a universe inhabited by ignorance, fanaticism, and barbarity, unchecked by the restraints of Reason.
I wish I could be more positive, but I feel the collective weight of these incidents, and their burden on the spirit.

For perspective, this would be a quiet day in Baghdad, Kandahar or Damascus over the last five - ten years.
Shia Muslims in Iraq are the victims of murderous bombings by Salafi/Wahabi extremists every day.
The extremism is funded and spread mostly by Saudi Arabia, with the Kuwaitis, Qataris, and Emiratis chipping in. They fund the extremist mosques and imams, worldwide.
We really did invade the wrong Arab country after 9/11.

RE: Terror attack in Denmark - 3 police officers shot at free speech meeting
Another shooting just happened
Quote: A gunman opened fire on a Copenhagen cultural center, killing one man and wounding three police officers in what authorities called a terror attack against a free speech event featuring an artist who had caricatured the Prophet Muhammad.
After searching for the gunman for hours, police reported another shooting near a synagogue in downtown Copenhagen after midnight Sunday. One person was shot in the head and two police officers were shot in the arms and legs, police said, adding it wasn't clear whether the two incidents were linked. The gunman fled on foot.
Sebastian Zepeda, a 19-year-old visitor from London, said he didn't want to leave his hotel room after hearing of the first shooting and was text messaging with his mother when the second shooting happened on the street below.
"I was on my bed and I heard gunshots. And my heart raced," Zepeda said. "All of a sudden the road was packed with police."
The earlier shooting came a month after extremists killed 12 people at a satirical newspaper in Paris that had sparked Muslim outrage with its depictions of Muhammad.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the first shooting, which took place shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday. Danish police said the gunman used an automatic weapon to shoot through the windows of the Krudttoenden cultural center, which TV footage showed were riddled with bullet holes. The gunman then fled in a carjacked Volkswagen Polo that was found later a few kilometers (miles) away, police said.
They said the victim was a man about 40 who was inside the cultural center. He has not yet been identified. Two of the wounded officers belonged to the Danish security service PET, which said the circumstances surrounding the shooting "indicate that we are talking about a terror attack."
Lars Vilks, a Swedish artist who has faced numerous death threats for caricaturing the Prophet Muhammad, was one of the main speakers at Saturday's panel discussion, titled "Art, blasphemy and freedom of expression." He was whisked away by his bodyguards unharmed as the shooting began.
Vilks, 68, later told The Associated Press he believed he was the intended target of the shooting.
"What other motive could there be? It's possible it was inspired by Charlie Hebdo," he said, referring to the Jan. 7 attack by Islamic extremists on the French newspaper.
"At first there was panic. People crawled down under tables," Vilks said. "My bodyguards quickly pulled me away."
The cultural center had a lecture hall as well as a cafe. Vilks said no one in the hall was wounded.
"We were well isolated in there. It would have been much worse if this happened during the break, when people walk out," Vilks said.
He said he deplored the death and the injuries but was unfazed as to what it meant for his own safety.
"I'm not shaken at all by this incident. Not the least," he told AP by phone.
Police initially said there were two gunmen but later said they believed there was only one shooter. They described him as 25 to 30 years old with an athletic build and carrying a black automatic weapon. They released a blurred photograph of the suspect wearing dark clothes and a scarf covering part of his face.
"I saw a masked man running past," said Helle Merete Brix, one of the event's organizers. "I clearly consider this as an attack on Lars Vilks."
Niels Ivar Larsen, one of the speakers at the event, told the TV2 channel he heard someone shouting and firing automatic weapons. "Police returned the fire and I hid behind the bar. I felt surreal, like in a movie," Larsen said.
Visiting the scene of the first shooting, Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt called it a "political attack and therefore an act of terror."
Police spokesman Joergen Skov said it was possible the gunman had planned the "same scenario" as in the Charlie Hebdo massacre.
François Zimeray, the French ambassador to Denmark who was at the event to speak about the Charlie Hebdo attack, tweeted that he was "still alive." Police said he was not wounded.
French President Francois Hollande called the Copenhagen shooting "deplorable" and said Thorning-Schmidt would have the "full solidarity of France in this trial." French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve was arriving Sunday in Copenhagen.
Leaders across Europe condemned the violence and expressed support for Denmark. Sweden's security service said it was sharing information with its Danish counterpart, while U.S. National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said U.S. officials were ready to help with the investigation and have been in touch with their Danish counterparts.
Vilks has faced several attempted attacks and death threats after he depicted the Prophet Muhammad as a dog in 2007. A Pennsylvania woman last year got a 10-year prison term for a plot to kill Vilks. In 2010, two brothers tried to burn down his house in southern Sweden and were imprisoned for attempted arson.
Vilks told the AP after the Paris terror attacks that, due to increased security concerns, even fewer organizations were inviting him to give lectures.
The depiction of the prophet is deemed insulting to many followers of Islam. According to mainstream Islamic tradition, any physical depiction of the Prophet Muhammad — even a respectful one — is considered blasphemous.
While many Muslims have expressed disgust at the deadly assault on the Charlie Hebdo employees, many were also deeply offended by its cartoons lampooning Muhammad.

There was a time in history when Islamic countries were arguably more enlightened than Christian ones. I don't know the years exactly but the Middle East was full of great scholars and scientific thinkers at one point. Ghengis Khan went wild over there in the 1200s and the Middle East still hasn't returned to the state it was in prior to that, and it probably never will.

Quote:"Iraq in 1258 was very different from present day Iraq. Its agriculture was supported by canal networks thousands of years old. Baghdad was one of the most brilliant intellectual centers in the world. The Mongol destruction of Baghdad was a psychological blow from which Islam never recovered. With the sack of Baghdad, the intellectual flowering of Islam was snuffed out. Imagining the Athens of Pericles and Aristotle obliterated by a nuclear weapon begins to suggest the enormity of the blow. The Mongols filled in the irrigation canals and left Iraq too depopulated to restore them." [28]
"They swept through the city like hungry falcons attacking a flight of doves, or like raging wolves attacking sheep, with loose reins and shameless faces, murdering and spreading terror...beds and cushions made of gold and encrusted with jewels were cut to pieces with knives and torn to shreds. Those hiding behind the veils of the great Harem were dragged...through the streets and alleys, each of them becoming a plaything...as the population died at the hands of the invaders." (Abdullah Wassaf as cited by David Morgan)

There is some revisionism at play there.
Most of the knowledge came from Greek and Roman text translated to Arabic by Assyrians.
Assyrians and Persians were responsible for many of the intellectual pursuits of the Golden Age and it collapsed once the jiyza converted much of those populations since Islam (fundamentally at least) stresses learning the Koran most of all, and has a doctrine of no causality.
I mean, I think what Europe accomplished once it regained those same texts is self evident of the cultural divide.
To be fair, I could have gotten some of this wrong since I only studied it at a glance (so didnt study it at all)

When I saw your name sir, I got depressed for second until I read your post. I have the highest respect for your writings and you didn't disappoint.

Hysteria is exactly what is sought. That's why these irrational acts are happening on both sides. Think drone attacks on innocents people, day in and day out. You think this smells of "Conspiracy Theory" TM; then allow me to refute it with one simple demonstration.
Let's take A .. 25-30 Arab living in say .. Saudi Arabia. He is a zealot, or to use the current language an "extremist". The cartoonish propaganda wants us to believe, that A, guided by his deranged, primitive and violent beliefs; and possibly also influenced by his misfortune of not being part of civilized world, where he can enjoy pussy, Guinness and cheeseburgers led to hypersensitivity about his religion. Then A saw the cartoons depicting the Prophet and went nuts ...... time out: Why would he go nuts? because they are insulting the Prophet.
If so why? His behavior is strange. Indeed, it's very strange. You see he lives in SA which is filled with BANKS. What do banks do? They lend money on money. In other words they practice usury. What is Islam's view on usury. Islam says that usury is a War on God and .. wait for it gentlemen ... Prophet. War on God and Prophet. BTW the bible view is similar, that usury is an instrument of war to be used against enemies. So apparently, A is willing to tolerate, a war against the Prophet in the heart of the Islamic world, but not cartoons in the infidel west. hmmmm
Either A is a wanker who doesn't understand the religion he is willing to kill and be killed for, or ....
This last part is red pill, so if you want to open your eyes you must do it yourself ..
Peace

You know damn well that was never a possibility, no matter how directly involved it could have been. If the US attacked Saudi Arabia, this would be the one true instance of seeing the entire Muslim world, from Indonesia/the Philippines to Dagestan, rise up in unison to fight the "crusader army" with a zeal like we've yet to see.
I'm saying that no nonIslamic nation(and possibly other Islamic nations) could attack the home of Mecca and Medina without expecting widespread, savage warfare.

We could have stayed away from Mecca/Medina, just invaded the east coast, Dhahran, Riyadh, deposed the Al-Sauds, put the Hashemites back in charge. Do it mostly as an unconventional warfare campaign with whatever Bedouin we could get from the deserts and the Jordanians. Heck, we could have got Saddam to help us.
It might have turned out better than this slow-motion crusade Bush started.
My own idea for after 9/11 would have been more Michael Corleone-style: just a campaign of relentless raids, financial disruption and assassination against Al Qaeda and its financiers. If a few Saudi and Emirati princes got dead because they paid money to Bin Laden, good.

Aren't there few enough rich people in those countries that we can reach out and touch them personally and , uh, persuade them it's not a good idea to fund this.
That seems more practical than trying to chase every devout and stupid , uh, religious persom, in the world.
