Mentavious - you paid $2600 for a first class ticket? Plus you are staying at the Marriott, damn your a baller. Wimbledon should be a good ole time.

DimeBait - I hear ya bro. So many places to visit and so little time.

Moma - Estoy de acuerdo Amigo! (I googled that Smile)

When I had Brosemite on the travel pod cast, he said basically the same thing, and he lived in Brazil for a year, if I remember correctly.

Staying at the Marriot and having tickets to Wimbledon...I predict there will be more 'returns' to be had on this trip of yours. My house is near Wimbledon so i get first hand visibility of the effect the tennis has on that area.

A couple dependents to claim and you'd hit the jackpot. Keep an unemployed hoodrat on reserve to claim them kids!

I owe so much money to the IRS it's not even funny. It seems like the less you make, the less complicated your life is and vice versus.

I'm trying to establish a side hustle myself with my kids to teach them the power of entrepreneurship.

One thing I have on the burner is event promotion (generic I know, but I live in slow city craving and ripe for solid events): Day parties, movie, dinner & discussion hosting, as well as Black Professional Networking events. Plus, its a stellar way to bring out the ladies.

Event promotions that I've seen work
- board games night
- supper club
- white/linen/day parties
- brunches
- trivia
- hip hop karaoke
- hard liquor tasting
- throwback theme old school nights

There's a black version of cards against humanity that could be the new thing.

Being in the middle of that gives you a whole lot of game power.

Outstanding suggestions!
Upwardly mobile Black folk are fiending for non-traditional urban events where I am. I think I will add triva, board-games, spades & domino tournaments to my list. Hell, each one of those events can sustain on their own. Once I get a decent rep established, I'll try them all.

Once thing about promoting is that it's a great way to approach, converstate, and personally invite random dimes to events.

The venue is always the issue.

The code words are "I'll have to check our insurance"
Large gatherings of college educated and gainfully employed folks falls under a fair amount of scrutiny.

After that it's face control.
Then it's folks looking for the hookup.

Like the dude mad that the place with cheap beer is a sausage fest.

I don't know if I'd ever get involved in that game again.

Question for all

Black women shit tests versus White women shit tests

If I'm chatting up a white chick and she asks for my name, that's usually a sign she's interested.

If a black woman does the same thing with the wrong tone, that means her follow-up question is "what's your full name" (so I can Google you)

I would argue the exact opposite. In my experience, YT folks instinctively ask you: (1) What's your name, and (2) what do you do. I think its more of a social norm/nosiness than attraction.

Contrastingly, Black folk can converse for several minutes without asking your name, what you do, where do you live or any other question not pertaining to the immediate conversation.

I've been in situations where we didn't exchange names till I asked for the number, lol

I had two dependents under me. I fronted the money for both their last semester's tuition so they agreed to allow me to list them as a dependent.

When I was younger and working at UPS, I would take all the HD Cords from all the ATT cable box returns and sell them back to different electronic stores/online for $3 a pop. May not seem much but we would get 30 cords a week minimum.

If you're an a professional field then I would start a Facebook group titled,'Black Doctors of the Midwest' or 'Black accountants of NYC' and so forth.

I wanted to donate 5k to the school to the school in Thailand I lived at for a year.

You just gave me a cool idea, though. I had an idea of making a website. I could make a group and just input links to my site every now and then. Great marketing tool. I see other companies do this all the time.

Since this is the black man game options thread,

Let's break down black men based on location, upbringing, nationality, age & vibe/personality and match 'em with locations or girls across the planet they'll likely have the most success in. Best bang for your fucking buck so to speak.

Not to sound defeatist, but very few of us can attain a WIA level of game/mentality which would pretty much guarantee hoes in different area codes, time zones, latitudes , continents and longitudes. Most of us would be better of specializing. Correct me if you disagree and feel free to add other categories but I'll start ...

Educated/Nerdy Black man in a straight-laced career? : Go for Berlin instead of Frankfurt. London instead of Liverpool. Tokyo instead of Okinawa. NYC/Boston instead of Miami. Boulder/Berkeley instead of Phoenix. Dallas instead of Austin. Sao Paolo instead of Rio de Jeinero. Hit the Netherlands instead of Poland and New Zealand instead of Australia.

Young, naturally athletic or Jacked/big with a typical college athlete attitude type: Avoid new England and the Mid-Atlantic states. Go midwest towards the Rustbelt (Ohio, Illinois, Indiana) and cuck states like Wisconsin/Iowa/Nebraska plus sports heavy Southern states like Texas, Florida Alabama, Arkansas. Australia, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico would be perfect. NYC, Toronto, Bern and Stockholm would be a waste. You're impressing no one with diamond cut delts and monster quads over there.

USMC, US Army, Navy or Chair Force Black man?
: recognize your niche. Nobody gives shit about the sacrifices you guys made up North and East. It's an uphill battle in NYC, D.C or Philadelphia. An upscale bar in Manhattan full of Investment bankers will get you no where. A God/Country/Corps type of bar in Alabama will net better results. Go more southern and more fly-over country where serving your country gets you pussy. Your success will quadruple in Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky or Kansas. Internationally, you guys would kill it in low-inhibition/high-emotion spots like Australia, SEA, Brazil, parts of Mexico and the Dominican Republic. You should avoid Northeast Asia, Central Europe and Argentina/Chile. You just don't have the vibe for it.

Alternative Black man in the creative arts, entertainment, promotion (Distant Light type): NYC, Paris, Seattle, Portland, Stockholm.

Any more categories and locations you guys could add from personal experience? What spots have you had the best success in based on your vibe?

Personality, Career, Age and Attitude breakdowns are key.

What do you really want to experience out of the trip?

I think we have a lot of first hand accounts on latin america in the best cities/countries for American black guys thread. Most of the stuff from brothas in latin america was dropped 2010-2013 when the forum was still on its Colombia,Brazil Argentina and later DR phase. After that everything started shifting to Scandinavia and eventually EE and Russia so most dudes on here have been dropping more Euro data lately.

I've written about my experiences in Latin America before, I've been to about 18 of the 21 or so countries that speak Spanish worldwide. If you have specific questions about Latin America I should be able to provide some insight.
rudebwoy 路 2016-05-27 18:40:00 路 #2273
It's funny the forum goes through a phase.

Would you say Latin America is a thumbs up or down?
azulsombra 路 2016-05-27 22:02:00 路 #2274
Thumbs up for me without hesitation.
I don't have the extensive Euro experience some posters have to do a real deep comparison between the two but Latin America has been good to me.

Just remember Latin America as a catch-all term doesn't really mean a whole lot. You are talking about roughly 19 countries with vastly different cultures between them so it鈥檚 difficult to generalize. It would be like taking French speaking parts of Canada, Louisiana, French Guiana (in South America), Suriname, Haiti, Martinique, calling it Franco America and then expecting them to have lots of similarities.

For example if your only experience with Latinos is limited to more indigenous type Mexican immigrants in the US you might only think of tequila and that spicy Tex-Mex food is the quintessential Latin food. But you would be in for a surprise when you visit a place like Argentina and see European looking women that eat pasta, steaks and mashed potatoes while sipping glasses of wine.

I would divide Latin America up like this:

Northern Latin America:

Mexico
Guatemala
El Salvador

Blacks are basically non-existent in these 3 countries. Your exotic factor will be highest here.
Quality of women varies, Northern Mexico tends to have the more euro looking women, Central Mexico is a little more mixed and Southern Mexico is very indigenous. The more indigenous dominant trend continues into Guatemala, in El Salvador things start to get more Euro mixed again. Guatemalans are generally the least attractive of this group.

Spanish spoken here is generally easy to understand.

Central Latin America:
Honduras
Nicaragua
Costa Rica

These three countries all have a Caribbean coast line, what does that mean? That means they have a black population. It varies between the countries and official estimates can be unreliable but I would say maybe 2-8%. This means that you won't see blacks all over the place if you aren't on coast but people are generally aware of African peoples and these countries typically have some kind of recognized national dance or music that was created by the mulattos and blacks. Most of these black locals are fully bilingual or sometimes tri-lingual. They can speak English, Spanish and usually some type of creole. You will still be considered exotic in these countries if you aren鈥檛 on the coast or in big cities.

Spanish spoken here is decently easy to understand, they use the Vos form in Nicaragua. Costa ricans speak clearly and honduras varies by region

North Caribbean Latin America
Puerto Rico
Dominican Republic
Cuba

These three countries are Caribbean island nations.
Cuba is the biggest by far, DR comes next and PR is tiny and US owned.
All of these countries have a long history of importing black slaves so the very soul of these nations is undeniably African. These 3 countries brought the world Salsa, Bachata, Rumba, Merengue, Reggaeton and all the variants of the aforementioned. As you can imagine dancing and rhythm are highly valued here. Style is also important and highly valued, people may be dumb as rocks but will pride themselves in always looking like a million bucks. Sound familiar?

I did a whole thread on Cuba so you can look that up if you want more detail.

The Spanish spoken here can be intimidating for a beginner, the rhythm and grammar is probably not what you learned in school. Lots of endings and S's are dropped, words are invented spontaneously, and Spanglish is also common. People talk here with energy and enthusiasm and are generally upbeat due to the year round sunshine. Race is a complicated topic in Caribbean Latin America but in general you will find a higher percentage of blacks in DR, then Cuba and PR. However, "African-ness" is more embraced in PR, then Cuba and lastly DR.
All shades and body shapes can be found here but PR has the highest obesity, DR has the biggest booties and Cubans fall somewhere in the middle.

South Caribbean Latin America
Panama
Venezuela
Colombia

I know it鈥檚 a messy title but it鈥檚 the best way I could describe this region/culture. Don't anyone jump up and say Panama is technically part of central America or some other nonsense, I'm already well aware. This is how I see things culturally.

Anyway, these three countries are the blackest part of Hispanic America. Colombia has the highest number of Spanish speaking blacks in the Americas. And almost the same percentage of blacks as the US I believe. It should come as no surprise that just being black is not seen as exotic here and in some cases being black can be a detriment. I'm not trying to discourage people from visiting, I'm just stating facts. Blacks are more numerous here and tend to occupy the lower rung of society so there is some stigma although things are slowly improving and there are successful blacks here that aren't athletes, entertainers, etc. Colombia is a BIG country but most blacks are concentrated on the southwest pacific coast or the northern Caribbean coast.

The Spanish spoken in Panama, Venezuela and the Caribbean Coast of Colombia is very similar to the Spanish spoken in the rest of the Caribbean. Lots of dropped endings and a fast paced rhythm. In the rest of Colombian pronunciation is much clearer and easier to understand. Medellin has their own odd Paisa accent/identity that they are proud of as well.

Race relations vary here as well quite a bit. I would probably rate Colombia and Venezuela better racially than Panama but it can also vary greatly between cities in each country, kind of like the US......

Women here are in to looking good, life isn't generally easy for them and they will get implants and plastic surgery to stay competitive with other females. Colombia and Venezuela have both had a ton of Miss Universe and Miss World winners. In Panama the best looking women are Colombians that moved there because of better security and to chase the US dollar.

Andean Latin America
Ecuador
Peru
Bolivia

Andean Latin America has a huge range in the quality of women. On average these are the ugliest women in Latin America. They tend to be shorter and more indigenous looking with square bodies and don't dress as well and take care of their looks the way they do in the Caribbean. Blame it on the colder weather, bad genetics, feminism, or diet but you will see less hotties here. That being said, every woman here doesn鈥檛 look like an extra from the Lord of the Rings, there are some cuties with curvy bodies and when you see one the contrast to the rest is so severe you will find yourself drooling. Racism here is more anti-black than anywhere else I've encountered in Latin America, no its not 1960s klu klux klan racism and no one is going to stomp you down skin-head style just for being in their country but don't expect a warm welcome like you might get in other countries.

Getting a taxi isn't a problem and likely no one will even be openly rude to you if they know you are foreign but there is a lot of prejudice and discrimination and some will see you as lesser than them simply because of complexion. Blackface is still commonly seen on TV and popular and encourages the worse kinds of stereotypes. There are small black populations here generally in very segregated areas along the coast and/or capital cities.

Natural beauty of the landscapes, ruins, and outdoor activities are the big draw here. Despite the negatives these countries are still worth a visit because of the aforementioned and the food is usually cheap and tasty. Also, the Spanish spoken here isn't too hard to understand.

Central South America
Chile
Paraguay

This is another unofficial country grouping I created because there isn鈥檛 really one that fits.
Chile shares some of the features mentioned above of Andean Latin America but also some from Southern South America. Chile and Paraguay are the buffer zone between the indigenous north and the European south. Obesity is on the rise in both countries, there are some cuties here in the upper class level and the racism here isn't as bad as in the Andean countries. The food in this region is the worse in Latin America. When was the last time you saw a Chilean or Paraguayan restaurant?

These aren't bad countries but there is no wow factor and the distance involved to get here isn't generally worth it. Also expect extreme temperatures, over 110F in Paraguayan summer and cold snowy weather in Chilean winter. Spanish spoken here uses the Vos form and they have strange accents. Chilean Spanish is probably the most difficult to understand, come here if you want to test your Spanish out. They speak a mile a minute, pronounce things differently and drop in tons of regional slang that would leave a native Spanish speaker of another country scratching their head to understand.

Southern South America
Uruguay
Argentina

This is the wannabe Euro part of Latin America and I can understand why. A huge portion of the population traces their blood to not only Spain but Italy also. Italian last names are common and the Spanish spoken here is like no other and sounds like a drunk Italian speaking Spanish. Culturally people pride themselves on being thin and attractive but in a French sort of way, don't expect the kind of bared skin like in the Caribbean. The Spanish and Italian blending has created some stunning women with beautiful tans, however they are aware of their beauty because local guys hound them all the time.

The women here pride themselves on being sophisticated and social circle is everything to them. Sound familiar? That being said they get wild like women everywhere you just have to catch them in the right mood and let them come to you. Kind of like Scandinavian girls they don't seem to like the idea of being seduced into sex, they want it to seem like it鈥檚 their decision. Their egos are extremely fragile so negging them is not the way to roll. If you can display humor and wit in Spanish you should be in. Despite the stereotypical Tango image most Argentinos/as can鈥檛 dance, so if you can dance you display high social value here and people will notice.

Pretty much everything written about Argentina applies to Uruguay as well except to a higher degree due to how tiny the country is everything is condensed. Social circle is even MORE important in Uruguay. Unlike Argentina, Uruguay actually has a sizeable black population, so don't expect to be too exotic there, especially in Montevideo. Unfortunately like most of Latin America blacks are at the bottom of the totem pole but still being a poor black person in Uruguay beats being poor and black in Colombia, Panama or Haiti. Uruguay is safe and very socially liberal. Gay marriage was made legal years ago, they recently legalized marijuana and I believe they have universal healthcare for citizens as well.

I know what you are thinking, BU...BU...BUT YOU LEFT OUT BRAZIL!!!!

Yeah, I did that on purpose and only focused on Spanish speaking "Latin America". There is even some debate on whether or not Brazilians are even "Latinos", but whatever. I may do Brazil in another post, it鈥檚 such a big entity into itself that it deserves its own post and shouldn't be lumped with the rest.
(More people speak Portuguese in South America than Spanish!)
