Charlie Brooker is obviously an excellent television writer, but he's also an SJW. Look at his snarky, badly informed articles on Gamer Gate in the Guardian for evidence.

I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that Brooker is pro-game or anything, as I didn't get that vibe at all. In fact, I think the word "dorky" was used at one point.

But it's obvious he's done some research into it.

We are operating under different definitions of what "red pill" and "game" is then. I don't see game mentioned in that quote outside of a loose connection with the word manosphere.

I don't think he's really on any particular team. I think it's quite possible for someone to be sympathetic to parts of the world view expressed here and hostile to others.

He clearly understands the treachery that both men and women are capable of and isn't afraid to talk about it. The Entire History of You is just down right fantastic and covers many of the topics discussed here and on Rational Male. Trickle truthing, alpha fucks beta bucks, and even the follies of trying to fight feminine nature.

He is definitely aware of all the issues discussed in places like this. And in Black Mirror, especially the Xmas special, he uses men's "issues", shall we say, to create the whole setup and payoff in a way that is very rare to see these days.

And actually, the male perspective is only a secondary part of it. The whole series is obviously focused on technology, and succeeds in being very thought-provoking and unsettling, as the horrific scenarios seem only one step removed from what is already our reality.

Some of the best TV I've seen in years.

Thanks thread starter. Black Mirror showed up on Netflix a few days ago and, though I saw toby Kebbel on the cover, I was going to pass it up until it was mentioned here. I watched the first season last night. It's amazing. Good to see nature-driven social commentary in entertainment around.

I didn't take it as white knighting as much as the greater cultural propensity to debase female sexuality for profit. It's the abandonment of feminine chastity in favor of financial gain or masturbatory hedonism, even if vicariously.

That's reminiscent to how all pop stars are sexed up to the maximum in western entertainment.

I started watching today after I saw this thread. The Entire History of You was so red pill down to its molecules that it felt like I was reading one of Roosh's alpha-beta-themed fiction stories. 15 million merits depicted a perfect white knight, but I don't think it was criticizing or making fun of white-knightism. And The National Anthem, I have no idea what that was about. I wanna say political correctness but it seems like a long stretch.

I can't decide whether this show has a red-pill agenda or just aims being as thought-provoking as possible without any concern for a lesson. Anyway, will keep watching and leave non-spoiler feedbacks.

White Christmas started out like a low-budget version of the movie Hitch with unrealistic gender interractions and a beta-mentality perception of Game, but after the first 30 minutes it progressed so well that it finished up as a red-pill masterpiece! The ending threw a bucket of icy water in the face of every heterosexual male viewer who is not as concerned about the SJW movement as he should be. Every heterosexual man in the West needs to watch this episode.

I'd heard about this series a long time ago and ended up watching
1) Orphan Black - which is a good series, but you guys will go off on some anti-SJW rant
2) Utopia - which again features some bad ass chicks, which of course will set off the Roissy Alarms

But I hadn't watched these, until today.

National Anthem
- terrorism
- performance art
- twitter, ubiquitous camera phones
- his wife is unwilling to let the pig fucker off
- the female aide to the pm 1) takes a little violence, 2) stands by her man, 3) keeps important facts from her
- the scenario could happen today

15 million merits
- assortative mating - chunky Asian girl wants the black guy who wants the white girl
- white knighting - 1) his dead brother's credits, 2) her getting pushed into porn, 3) his statement
- getting fame for something righteous and cashing in on your credibility
- buying shit for virtual selves
- the ginger seeking approval, and always buying things for his virtual self to feel better about his real self (Roosh hit on this idea when he pulled the rep point system)

Entire History of You
- alpha fucks, beta bucks
- lying females
- how men torture themselves with women's infidelity
- replaying your own memories, living in the past

Be Right Back
- your online persona is a static image, and it'll never capture all of you. (arguably, your online avatar is deeper than your real life in some aspects - i.e. there are few people I could really talk about the game with in real life - not to this degree. Red Pill as well)
- women's nature to say one thing, and want the other

White Bear
- the public's willingness to inflict pain on those we deem worthy of it.
- cellphone/worldstar culture
- sensationalism

Waldo Moment
- the problem with Russel Brand, Colbert, Stewart, Limbaugh, et cetera. Writers for House of Cards said they had to make Frank Underwood a democrat, because the Net Flix audience ASSUMES that's how the Republicans are. (i'd also argue that a lot of people on the left wish that all SJW's were as mercenary as they think the right is)
- Again, sexual/romantic frustration

White X-Mas
- the first act was straight out of the game
- keys to the vip (the gallery of rogues - although i'm loving the fact that the other players were multi-cultural),
- the defense of game against the regular guy calling the dude in the story a dork
- cautionary tale of getting what you wish for
- 2nd act of breaking a spirit, a piece of code in this case - in order to get them to comply
- 3rd act of yet another duplicitous chick (Asian Player for the win), who fucks over a dude because she can't face up to her infidelity
- the epilogue of freedom for Don Draper not being really free, and Nebbish dude going insane

All of these stories feature horrible women for the most part.

Even the one that's about a woman, is about a woman who forces her hubby to move out to the country, and then is too busy with "work", which is why he ends up dying on the road.

Two instances of the Baby ain't Yours. (X-Mas and History)
One insufferable wife who won't share in the sacrifice of her husband
Insufferable not talent bitch, who incidentally is a photo negative of Bjork. (lol)
A chick who can't support another chick (15)
A chick who has no sense of self and would rather prostitute herself than be thought of as ordinary
Crazy bitch in X-Mas
A bitch who can't return a fucking text or phone call, and then gives the dude the brush off

I won't even speak on White Bear, but the "partner in crime" theme shows up in other places in the series.

The dudes don't come off really too cool either (other than the Alpha in History of You), but if you don't see the "ugly truths" about women in every single episode - maybe you don't get the red pill.

What's most interesting is that almost all of the chicks, except the chick with voices in her head, are all typical chicks doing typical things. There's no "gone girl" crazy sociopath.

I'm sure Jezebel or XoJane will have a field day if they ever think about it

I'm glad someone else brought up -Waldo Moment-. We are living a waldo moment to a lesser degree. The art behind it for me was trying to tell people to put in the hard work and accept that not everything is always pleasant in order for it to be the right thing.

White Christmas- has a deep anticensorship message behind it with the "blocking" feature that is forced upon people with relative ease.
There is a large amount of anti-male sentiment in that hypothetical culture. It's illegal to be a date coach for them so I wonder if the movie Hitch would banned in that sort of reality. There is a good amusing take on personal safety inside that theme. Did the makers of the personal block system not account for the possible dangers inherent in not being able to see people physically present in front of you?
