I get 10x the matches on Bumble than Tinder. Lame ass dudes with no game ruined Tinder, but Bumble is still quality in my area.

I discovered a few ways to maximize Bumble's algorithm:

1. I travel frequently for work (2+ weeks a month) and noticed that when I got back to my home city, my matches would go up a lot.

So, I concluded that when you leave and come back, Bumble raises your value and shows you to more prospects.

2. I noticed that when you upload a new profile pic, they bump you up in the line, and you get a ton more matches.

Which leads me to my current strategy:

Before I leave for a trip (usually gone for 3-5 days) I delete my profile pic (which is my best pic) and turn my profile to "private/hidden." When I get home, I unhide my profile, an re-upload my best profile pic.

This seems to reset the algorithm in my favor, and I get more matches than I can handle. Since arriving home yesterday, I've got 10 new messages plus 12 matches that haven't written to me yet. This might sound great, but it works against me because I don't have time to meet all these hoes, and so when I don't reply to them, Bumble knocks me back down the rankings.

I've been thinking of just going super hard sexual messages on these girls to weed out the ones that aren't DTF, but that's not really my style, and a lot of these girls seem like decent enough people, and so I don't want to contribute to Bumble's demise.

For reference, I'm 32 and live in a 2nd-tier US city.

Well, i just installed the app, and will give it a try. Local talent in Bs As looks regular, but Tinder is too full of ugly bitches and trannies right now.

Gave it a quick try here in BA about two years ago and there seemed to be only around 20 profiles or so. If it's still a wasteland, try Happn. Very popular here and better talent than Tinder.

OK, I take that back. 36 hours after I did it, I got 12 girls in the match queue... maybe it takes a while for your profile to get shown?

^^ Yeah I think it takes awhile for you to cycle through and be shown to new girls, even if you’re bumped to the top.

Oddly enough, even with my boost in recent matches I don’t recall swiping on any of these girls, so it has me wondering if I swiped on them a few weeks ago and just never got shown to them until the new pic was uploaded.

Tried it again twice, no effect.

Got some guys on the Playing With Fire Facebook group to try as well, no one had any luck. I think what you and I observed was coincidence and this strategy doesn't work.

is the 're-posted pic' method still working for you guys (re-uploading your main pic with a cropped/edited version)? Used to be a great way of making my profile more visible and getting a ton of matches.

Doesn't seem to be effective anymore-- maybe the algorithm was modified in a recent update.

Bumble lately has sucked, seems like a lot of the chicks on there are looking for cheap entertainment and have no interest in carrying on a conversation or meeting up. The success I've had with it in the past was by having some niche characteristic they liked, came directly over, and banged. Nothing else worked, really.

The app was fantastic around this time last year trough mid-2018. I'm in a major city and my matches have slowed down considerably (even after closing down my account and opening again). Probably need to create a new fb profile.

So far I'm having the best luck with Bumble. I got a 2 week free trail and so far seeing some good results. Have only used it for a week but liking the fact that I save time and energy from having to message woman. I've also received feed back on how woman prefer to initiate the conversation vs. random creepy dudes.

I haven't seen many profiles on Bumble in Korea, Japan, Hong Kong or Rep. of Georgia. It seems to be mainly an USA app for people who want less big crowds like Tinder.

I was crushing Bumble for the past year or so but recently deleted it because I was more than likely over exposed. Towards the end, I snag random newcomers but I was mostly seeing the same old tired profiles.
Now, I only really use Hinge. I have an account on The Leauge but bishes seem hella flakey and I rarely match with the slim pickings the algorithm gods give me.
Once my current Hinge rotation dissipates, I may revisit Bumble with fresh pics

I get a decent amount of hot matches on Bumble but the typical end of the conversation is like that.

"I'll give you my number if we have successfully chatted for a week" --- Next

After about three pages of conversations.

"I don't know you - I don't give strangers my phone number" --- Next

"I do not know you - I don't meet strangers"

It seems like a big waste of time and it's geared very much towards a simple online chat room.

Girls are a bit more proactive in conversations - for sure.

However it seems infested by ultra feminists. Lot's of girls use it to find other girls to talk trash about guys.

Oh and all these experiences were in South East Asia, not US.

Sounds like it's a location thing or maybe your texting game needs a little improvement.

Never chat for extended periods of time because they'll just use you as an emotional tampon.

I don't always use this one but I sometimes use a disclaimer: "I'm not really that active on Tinder so my number is _________ and send me a Whatsapp / Txt"


Of course the hardest thing is going from number to actually meeting up. On a lot of data sheets done by men they report stuff like only 1/4 of number exchanges actually result in meeting up and a fraction of that converts into lays (whether ONS or a longer game).

I've been dating a woman for a couple of months now so got rid of bumble again.

This period/campaign I noticed that Bumble was sending a lot more notifications to my mobile informing me that I should jump on the app, or suggesting that I was more likely to get a match, or that lots of women were active on the app. Lots of reminders to get on the app and use it.

I swiped right on a fair few women in my area, I still think it's poor returns. I'm not sure if that's the dating market in my area/age bracket though. Hard to say.

Fully agree - three pages of a conversation is way too long! I tried asking for a number on different stages - after a 3/6/9/12 messages. No real difference unfortunately.

Use playful banter, draw them in while DHV. Then say something like they seem fun and you would like to meet up somewhere.
Sometimes I stall in replying and make them suggest it.

I don't convert to number until I've met them as that's just shifting platforms/services.
If they've agreed to meet, I'll send them my number and say text me if you're not coming. Then they provide theirs immediately.

I just signed up to this today. Only one match so far and I have a pic that literally could be on a modeling ad. I'm a black dude, so maybe there's a racial angle or they just don't care about looks and something else works better for matches.

^There are far fewer women on bumble than on tinder and matching is less frequent. When matching does happen, most automatically disappear after 24 hours.

Despite trying to be more of a relationship app, you get penalised for staying in the same place for too long. You get a boost by travelling to another area.
