Interesting articles, and great thread.

I tried to read everything, so I’m not sure this has been touched on, but I think a lot of men have ‘checked out’ simply because there are just so many unmarriageable women.

The marriage rate has declined, and media will focus on the “unmarriageable” man. How if he’s single at 40 he’s immature, or because of the recession so many men are having career trouble.

The latter part has some truth to it in the sense I think a lot of men want to settle down when they have their finances in order. But what is never mentioned is any empathy towards these men, or encouraging women to show some empathy. The whole dialogue revolves around what men need to do and what women are looking for.

Remember that whole ‘100 dates’ article about the woman who was going to date 100 guys? She was a fat, annoying, narcissistic little pig. Yet that is what the media presents as a normal woman seeking to date. The most well known, or at least covered, female celebrity in her mid-late 20s is Lena Dunham, a fat, annoying, narcissistic little pig. Remember that ROK article about the NY women traveling to SF to find a rich tech guy to marry? None of those women were attractive at all.

So basically we have a media that encourages being fat, unattractive, unfeminine, and obnoxious under the guise of ‘empowerment’, and questioning it makes you a misogynist. No wonder men are checking out.

I cannot emphasize enough how interesting it is to me that I know so many women in their 30s who used to be much cuter but now don’t have a husband in sight. The irony is that men then get pressured to ‘consider’ a fat woman or old bag as a mate, to correct the problems that feminism created.

I certainly haven’t checked out, I have a vibrant social life. But no amount of pressure for me to ‘man up’ and marry some old broad or some fat whale is going to convince me to settle down with someone that I don’t want to. That is what needs to change, the terms of the debate. Right now it’s being entirely controlled by feminist thought. There is no shame in saying “I’m looking for a cute, petite, feminine woman”. It’s what makes us men. It’s in our biology. And no amount of feminist screeching can change that.

We all have limitations, but until you have tested your limits you don't know what you can potentially achieve. Most men improve their lives tremendously over the years.

Krauser did his first 1000 approaches without one bang - yes there were fewer materials for Daygame available and it was probably some sort of therapy for him too, but look at where he is now.

We always tend to overestimate what we can achieve in the short term, but we underestimate what we can accomplish long-term.





When a man reaches his full potential, he is happy despite some men being better than him. There is an inner feeling of accomplishment since you know that you have done well individually.

There's a double page spread of a High School's Year 12 Formal in the paper today. There's nine girls pictured and they are all overweight to obese. All of them have doughy arms and thick waists that the formal gowns accentuate by trying to minimise their obvious flaws.

These are girls 17-18, supposedly in the peak of their beauty, and they all look like late 20's child care workers. They're already post-wall and middle-aged. What a waste of youth and beauty.

You and Veloce both make good points and neither is mutually exclusive. Yes, men can improve their lot through hard work. And yes at the same time, circumstances out of your control such as demographics can box you in. An an analogy, if we're going through a deep recession, more people are going to be struggling. You can always point out some guy who became a self-made millionaire through hard work during an economic downturn and say, "look at him, if he did it, anyone can, so what's your excuse?" And at a certain level, that makes sense, even during a recession, you may still be able to come out on top if you are savvy. But one would be remiss to deny that the environment is going to still be a setback in the aggregate for the majority of people, otherwise it wouldn't be a recession by definition.

The reason men are struggling in America is one that isn't much talked about in the media. I think most of it comes from the demographic shift. There is not one state where there isn't an under-supply of women in the 18-30 demographic.

@Speakeasy - that is a very important point. I grew up in the West with a steady surplus of immigration. It never dawned on me for long that demographics are a key factor why dating is much tougher for men. But the truth is that it is.

Practically all around the world 106 men are born for every 100 girls - since we men die due to accidents, prison, sometimes sickness, move away from a country etc. - then that usually equals at parity around age 18-22 if there is no immigration.

With immigration everything changes. When I moved to EE I suddenly realized how bad the situation was, because I saw the difference when a country consists of 99% of indigenous people.

Because in truth the media & academia usually publishes sex ratio numbers for ages 15 to 64 and says that there are barely more women. But what they don't tell you that the pendulum only swings to our side at age 50. In the West from ages 18 to 25 - the supreme prime - as well as the second tier prime of 25-33 we ALWAYS OUTNUMBER women by 20%+ - in practically all Western countries. The problem is even more exacerbated as women mostly move to the big Sex-and-the-City-style cities leaving the smaller towns in even worse conditions.

The odds are not in our favor - anywhere in the West. The reason why Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and some Eastern European countries are so favorable for men is because the odds are simply in our favor. Ukraine and Belarus has one of the best demographics where at age 20 (!) women already outnumber men - never mind the good men - those with a job, not in prison, being a drug addict etc.

And the situation is getting worse by the month. The elite goals for all Western countries is to be flooded with highly diverse immigrants - the majority of them men. There are a few exceptions like Israel, Japan and economic reasons in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus where climates will remain favorable for men for decades to come.

Personally, I don't think A+ game by itself and in and of itself is going to land a guy 8's and 9's, not in this current sexual marketplace unless you are in a location that is very stacked with beautiful women and a weak population of male competitors.

Travesty says he's 6 ft. 4 in., handsome, and in shape, so for him to improve his game and land 8-9's shouldn't be too difficult, but what about a guy whose 5 ft. 9 in., and average looks, is amazing game going to get him those quality girls?

Personally, I think that women are becoming pickier and pickier when it comes to looks and I'm talking the full package (height, muscular build, face, etc.), not to mention with hypergamy they want a guy with increasing status, if you don't have money, you got to at least be a DJ, or something cool.

For 8's and 9's if you aren't a tall buff Adonis you will need not only need A+ game, but high status and some kind of X factor. The better looking you are the easily it will be, no question about that.

Please let's not use Tyler Durden as an example of a short average looking guy pulling hot chicks. Also, if I remember correctly didn't Roosh do a blog post about pursuing a 6 quality female in D.C. on one of his last visits due to being horny and not having better options. There's a reason why he goes to Ukraine and Poland, like I said those are locations with a disproportionate amount of hot women with a weak local male population. Plus many people report Roosh is 6 ft. 4 in. himself, so while he doesn't have male model looks he is definitely checks one of women's most important physical traits when it comes to attraction.
