I couldn’t speak English until I was about 5 years old, even though I was born and raised in UK. I’m very much in touch with my Indian heritage and I visited India earlier this year. I’m not ashamed to be Indian, in fact I’m proud of it. I just don’t act like a retard.

One Chinese woman I was banging in the US told her mother that she was seeing an Indian guy. Her mother said, ”Does he smell bad?” She said “No he doesn’t. Do you think the Buddha smelled?” Her mum said “OK, OK..that’s fine” and she shut up. Her mum is a hardcore Buddhist.

Thailand – Thais would never say this to your face, but many of them hate Indian people. Indians have a reputation of being cheap - some of them even try to get discounts from whores! Don’t come across as cheap. I was with a bunch of American people are we were hanging out in red light areas. I don’t do p4p but I just wanted to see what was going on there. One crazy sight I saw was an Indian guy walking down the street holding an Indian woman’s hand (probably his wife), and the Indian woman was holding the hand of a Thai woman. I guess there was threesome that night!

I have an Indian friend who's married to a Thai 7.5. . She said Thai women are open to Indian men, but the Indians in Thailand tend to import women from India, and not marry Thai women.

Japan – There’s almost zero Indians there, but one thing I did was on my phone, using Google translate I wrote in Japanese “My parents are from India, I was born and raised in UK. I live in Los Angeles in America”. I literally pulled out my phone and showed this to the Japanese people. They got who I was straight away. I didn’t want them to think I was from India. I fear for the image of Indians in Japan because the Indians I did see were badly dressed IT/Engineering nerds. I did see a few well dressed Indian guys with hot Japanese girls. Again, be well dressed and I think learning some Japanese is essential. As with the Chinese, Japanese women LOVE it if you know anything about their culture. My Japan trip is here.

Hong Kong – I didn’t go out and try and pull any women there, but most of the Hong Kongers thought I was a local. They would try to speak to me in Cantonese whenever I walked into a store. I’m not sure if you know this already, but there’s been an Indian population in Hong Kong for over 100 years, and many of them do speak Cantonese. I wasn’t very impressed with the women in Hong Kong. The hottest woman I saw in Hong Kong was a Latina in Lan Kwai Fong.

Guys dont take this the wrong way but I have noticed a lot Indian guys are extremely rude and give nasty looks to other minorities yet are the complete opposite to whites. Common behavior or am I imagining things? On the flip side I have met some nice ones who are just awkward and need guidance from someone like cobra!!

I wouldn't say prevalent, but racism is there. I know some of my family doesn't like blacks or mexicans, some can't stand whites either.

Ok, this info is well intentioned but, with all due respect, not earth shattering. The list you provide is good for FOBs straight from India but not very useful for American born Indians - few of us who have been involved with game for a decent amount of time will still be committing basic creepy errors like that.

Regarding reactions in other countries, it looks like a mixed bag depending on the country. In some countries the first impression is a barrier to overcome, and yes, I got the dress well part. Apart from that, are there any other tips to short-circuit the anti-Indian stereotypes?

This is totally about Westernization - meeting people off the bat saying that you are Westernized and not an Indian from India? If that's not distancing yourself from India I don't know what is. Not that I'm hating - I'm American and do the exact same thing too when I'm abroad (emphasize my Americanness and downplay the Indian aspect). Maybe I'm looking for a way to distinguish myself without looking try hard?

I am Indian. I rate my look 5, with right dress 6 5. I had good time in Poland. I live in Germany with my wife and use every opportunity to travel. In Germany game is tough and race don't help as well.

If I found this forum on 2008, would not have married. I don't regret marriage because it's not going good I regret because by body wants different women.

I use my race as advantage. I do yoga, I never pulled using yoga as tool. But my next trip yoga will be used extensively to pull

This might surprise you, but Indians have a very negative reputation in many countries (particularly East Asia), so you don’t want to be associated with the negativity.

In UK if people ask, I say I’m Indian. Outside of UK, I say I’m British. I wear multiple hats depending on where I am in the world. Why would I say that I’m Indian, if I’m not actually from India? If somebody asks about my ethnicity, I’ll tell them, but if not, I never bring it up.

I live and work in Los Angeles – my colleagues see me as the British guy, not as the Indian guy. When I go to India, my relatives call me British, they don’t think of me as an Indian.

Try not to make your ethnicity a topic of conversation. It’s all about how you style and carry yourself. Who do you think would get more pussy, this guy

Never heard that one before. I know some Indians who are racist towards whites, but most of them are not in my experience.

On rare occasions me not saying I’m Indian has worked against me in the US. I remember one time a Korean-American woman asking me if I’m Indian in a bar, and I said no – I said I’m British but my parents are from India. I asked her for her number but she walked off. About an hour later in the same bar I saw her making out with a FOB Indian guy on the couch.

Another time I spoke to a Japanese FOB in a bar. She asked me if I’m Indian, and again, I said that I’m British but my parents are from India. She asked me if I spoke Hindi, and I told her know. I have worked with several extremely successful Indian men of all types here in the US. Most of them were immigrants. Some are extremely laid back and affable, super friendly and generally just really cool, and others are intensely focused hyper ambitious individuals. Some are fashionable cool players with money(that they have earned on their own), and some are uber nerds(often also with money they have earned on their own). So I have found Indian men are like any other race, some are easy to get along with and others are not. One thing I have seen though is a chip on their shoulder, not in an angry way, but in an immigrant way. A mindset that is survival focused, propagating their race and not taking no for an answer into a society that let them in, but isnt giving them a free lunch. Often this conflicts with the general American laid back PC attitudes these days, and it makes me wonder what people were like back in the 30's and 40's when there were hoards of immigrants coming here, fighting their way up. Nevertheless, people have strong opinions and exert them over others, and others want to get along and make good work together. Like anybody else.

Interesting you say this. My father works with an Indian guy and they always give each other shit especially when it comes to religion. Indian guy tells my dad "Why do you Mexicans love worshiping a virgin?", my dad responds "Why do you guys worship a cow?" hahaha. They are really good friends though.

I live in Illinois so there are lots of Indians in the Chicago suburbs and for the most part I have never really had trouble with them, in fact one of my best friends is Indian from Singapore.

On another note, I read an article somewhere that Ghandi himself was a racist towards Blacks and darker skinned Indians. Which is strange coming from a guy who was against British rule.

That's not surprising - many Indians have a dim opinion on blacks, and many Indians also look down on South Indians.

There's a north/south divide in many countries e.g. Italy, UK, China, Thailand etc.

He was very racist. He lived in apartheid South Africa at one point and was against apartheid against Indians but in favor of it for blacks. He also used the word "kaffir" which is the South African equivalent of "nigger". He was one of the first Indian race trolls in my opinion.

Do you know what brand image is?

You might claim you are a smart buyer who doesn't get caught up with that brand thing and don't pay any extra $$ but I am sure you are just like everyone else.
When you think about some brand/product, you will have a certain image going on in your head. that Positive image will push you to purchase that product.

Your race is part of branding
Your skin color is part of branding.
Your accent is part of branding
Your physical shape is part of branding
Your face is part of branding
And the list goes on and on........

Who said race thing is 100%? but it's a big major factor.

By the way, I was just trying to say as a 2nd generation indian, you can't claim (just in my opinion. please ignore if you don't agree) you are British like, let's say, that William who have british ancestors who lived there thousands years.

Let's just make it simple. when people ask 'where are you from', do they want to know what passport you have or it's usually about your race?

I think it's fine as long as you acknowledge people you were born in England and your parents are from India when asked.

I met couple indian girls and was curious about their race. (could be persian, arab or even latina) So I can talk about certain things depending on their race.
They just kept saying 'I am Australian or I am British'

I'm not sure you're a 100% there. You're assuming girls bang based on skin color, but they could bang based on accent or sense of style too. I think race is a factor white girls aren't as open= to ethnic guys but it's not a 100%. Too much generalization maybe?

Maybe tell us what types of girls and experience you're basing this on aside from the Indian girls you talk about.
