RE: THE facebook,game killer. !
I've been avoiding adding chicks on facebook for the past year or so. Here's how it usually goes:
Girl: What's your facebook?
Me: I don't really use it any more... <hand girl my phone> give me your number.
Girl: Ok.

I do use facebook quite a bit for maintaining contact with friends scattered over the globe. About once a week I'll check what my profile looks like to a stranger. It's almost identical to my linked in profile with a few public DHV photos.

I agree with most of you and I add, facebook no only kills game, it kills valuable life time and social motivation.

RE: THE facebook,game killer. !
Just last night I was number closing a girl and she told me I can add her on Facebook. I said I don't do Facebook anymore (I do have a blank profile). She thought I was kidding and told me to forget about it or something. I didn't cave in. Facebook is like the shittiest vector of attack anyway, how much do you stand out when she's got 20 pending notifications lol.

A minute later she comes back with her friend, now asking my name, "I'll give me your number if you tell me your name so that I can check your profile." Again, no reason to jump through her hoop. She knows my first name and starts going through the search results while I'm amused by her effort lol. I think I then said something like "OK give me the number so we can get over this shit" and it was actually her friend who gave the number from her phone, while the other girl was still going through the search results. Hmm.

RE: THE facebook,game killer. !
One thing I've had some success with is clearing out any of the "profile like" aspects of my facebook account. So, instead of having every tv show, band, job I've had listed on my profile, the most she'll see is my college major, and pictures that I know make me look good. When I update, I delete anything that wasn't liked, or I that I've had second thoughts about. It seems lately what will happen is random girls will add me, on their own, usually after I've gamed them.

I don't disagree with the purpose of this thread. Not having one definitely helps the air of mystery, but a good chunk of my buddies will have nothing but a pic of themselves, their ninja bike, and update it once a month. All while most of their wall posts are from multiple harem bitches, and females post pics of said guys on their own that they get tagged in.

I think it's much easier to not play the oline game, rather than manage it. Or hold out until you establish a lifestyle that when advertised in any format equals poon.

I still have my facebook, but I rarely use it for other things than mail-communication. What I truly hate about need to search for affirmation and acceptance through it... it´s weak and pathetic. I mean, how many pictures of romantic dinners, everyday-gibberish and butt ugly woman changing their profile pictures 4 times can you take?

RE: THE facebook,game killer. !
Bump to this thread, because I'm in the process of optimizing my facebook.

I don't use it for game. It's actually hurt me in the past, and probably has been for a long time without me knowing about it. The fact you give away so much about yourself and unless you have a spectacular profile with great pictures, status, and social involvement it doesn't benefit at all (a large majority).

But I want to have it because of certain groups I like to be part of to stay updated and be part of events, and I want to remain connected to certain people, namely family.

I'm pretty much deleting all/most high school friends. I'm considering deleting my current university contacts (people I met first year, people I've been in classes with).

Essentially just keeping people I hang out/want to remain connected with.

Having said that, because in 95% of cases I'm not friends with girls, and in 95% of cases I wouldn't add girls I'd like to/am banging, my facebook will be a sausagefest. Any girl that takes an interest in me and looks me up and finds that I only have 100 friends and 80% guys = DLV.

I found a solution. I knew about privacy settings before but I finally became more familiar with it. I made sure to set all future posts to be seen by friends only. Also, I went over every single past status and picture update and made it friends only as well. I did this to everything, including pages, and friends list which solved my above problem.

There is almost nothing for someone looking me up to see. All they will find is my real name, my current city, and my profile picture (just me at an abroad location).

Barebones. My name, location, and picture will allow prospects to identify me properly. The fact that there is nothing else available to them unless they are on my friends list should create mystery. Particularly because they might have some thoughts, ideas about me and they look me up to confirm or investigate further, but now they won't be able to. That should be a way to create attraction, and this is a type of attraction I haven't attempted before.

That is the plan anyways. This is another change for me and it's exciting.

Additionally, I wonder how I will be able to witness the changes or benefits that result from this. I feel it has the potential to have substantial benefit, but at the same time that benefit might be unnoticeable to me.

Thoughts?

RE: THE facebook,game killer. !
I got a facebook when I started doing stuff with clubs. Its useful for advertising your event especially if you are DJing there, you can hook up instagram and post pics of you DJing in front of a crowd etc. . .facebook is useful if you have some value in it. I have lots of friends but a lot of them are DJs/Producers/People with music agencies/ etc etc. . .the only pictures I have are a couple of me with a few friends, and a couple of me with famous DJs. I don't have much else there. It's intriguing because sometimes (very rarely) Ill post comments to my friends overseas in a completely different language. Some people are like "whoa" and message me.

So yeah if you have only your best side there, and only a little bit, keep it mysterious, and don't post a whole bunch of stupid crap (like self pictures of you looking not-happy) then its fine.

Mostly you should use facebook if you are advertising yourself in some way (usually if you are a performer or whatnot)

also you can ad women you've already banged to fb, and contact them once they leave their boring bf and hook up again (Ive done this more than a few times)

Really though, if you guys are here on this board and you go to clubs regularly and are NOT promoting/DJing/involved in the clubs/club events etc etc anyway, then you're doing it wrong! Being a regular club customer is for chumps. If you're not into clubbing at all, then yeah, just use fb for women you've already slept with. . .dont add anyone other than that.

Being on facebook can sort of validate you, especially if attractive women comment on your page and you have pics of traveling to cool locations. Women love to assume every guy is a potential creep, so it can help in that aspect too. Not being on there can make people think you are hiding something. If your page is even slightly boring, it can also affect you negatively. Most men receive very little validation on facebook. You literally have to be celebrity for facebook validation if you're male. On the flipside, even a fat woman receives constant validation on facebook from beta men.

I've noticed a lot of people who had facebook in it's heyday when it wasn't public aren't as crazy about it as those who got on it later on.

The only good thing about not being on it, you can show you aren't a follower. It also seems like Instagram has been the new thing for a while.

Facebook can work to your advantage -- but only if you follow the advice given earlier in this thread and create a carefully calculated world. There are ways to indicate DHVs if you are smart about the photos you pick. You'll be like what Maurice described in Boogie Nights: "Look at me. Look at me and all the beautiful women I've been with." You don't have to hit a girl over the head with it, but the subtle points will be there.

But, to be sure, keep your profile on lockdown as far as requiring your approval for something to be posted to your wall. And beware girls who set up alternate Facebook pages who might try to do some sneaky sleuthing -- and yes that really does happen. If you've carefully controlled what is on your page, it should be fine.

Damn this shit is serious! Didn't realize how hard it was to delete your Facebook account until I actually tried today. Apparently it takes two weeks to delete and if by chance you are logged in to any apps or any shit like that it cancels. If it does delete Facebook keeps some of your data for some fucking reason and sends you emails and shit, your name remains on messages you sent and shit. All this shit is making me wish I never joined in the first place. Facebook basically makes it impossible to delete all your data.

The rewards I see from working is what made me an addict.
There's way more people that want it than people that have it.

I have a Facebook. I find that the time I used to waste on Facebook can be better applied to a more profitable use of time (reading a book/learning game/whatever).

RE: THE facebook,game killer. !
I have a profile pic of me with two hot girls, taken at a party recently. Most of my posts get a fair number of likes and comments, however not as many as some 6+ women who know how to hashtag and apply makeup. I think it helps my pre-selection.

Facebook is very practical for keeping in touch with people, and I definitely notice myself thinking more about and inviting people who are active on my Faceboko, as opposed to the ones who aren't. However, I resist adding or accepting girls I want to bang. It totally kills the mystery.

RE: THE facebook,game killer. !
You can be "mysterious" on Facebook, just don't post every single shit you do or plan to do. One week it's a picture from Paris, on the other it's a party with topless girls, the other it's a pic of you helping an orphan or hiking on some mountain, or hunting. You can make your life seem interesting and your nature unpredictable to hundreds of women simultaneously, and the online word of you will spread out.

Don't "plan a trip/date/activity/anything". Do it and surprise your friends with photos, it'll seem like you did it spontaneously.

I'm on FB just to receive event invites from my social circle.

Used to tell girls I don't do FB and they'd act like it's weird for me not to have it. Some would probe and I'd make up a stalker story or something like that.

However, recently (last year or so) I've noticed that they appear to be cool with it and have no problem exchanging emails or numbers instead.

I had a 21 yr old 7.5/10 poor white Dominican version of Kim Kardashian ask me for an 'IG' account. No FB. I told her I'd never heard someone ask for IG instead of FB. I don't have IG, but looked up her profile, she's got 800+ followers. How does IG compare to FB?

IG = Instagram.

I, personally, think IG would be a waste. There's ten trillion thirsty dudes and its built around the worst aspect of Facebook: girls posting pictures.

I deleted all my personal social media accounts back in April. It hasn't hurt me and I rarely get asked about it. When I do girls usually think that its kind of cool that I'm "off the grid."

If you set up your account right it's a DHV. I always add girls to my facebook and didn't have any problems because of it. I have my privacy settings really tight. Only about 20 pictures all of them by myself, only the absolute best pictures goes. Almost never write anything, and if I do I might delete it later. Got a big number of likes on my profile picture. Naughty nomad have written a great post about it,

http://naughtynomad.com/2012/05/14/5-tip...book-game/

Also it's great to add girls from online-game there to sort out fatties.

Facebook is now officially a desease.

Nothing new here for RVF members though. FB kills your game, time, social life etc.

I have two facebook accounts

One I use for tinder which is in essence a troll profile

And another for social circle on both accounts I use pseudonyms

I don't add chicks I wanna smash but I do find that FB can help with social circle game so I utilize it for that
