Myers, the wife of a Rockland County sheriff’s officer, entered her plea in Manhattan Supreme Court on Wednesday, a day sooner than scheduled — thus letting her avoid the glare of the news media.

Prosecutors requested that Justice Michael Orbus sentence Myers to two years in prison and order that she surrender her New York state teaching certificate.

Instead, Orbus promised to give her 10 years’ probation.

Defense lawyer Andrew Stoll said Myers will be fired by the city Department of Education “and won’t be working for them anymore,” but asked the judge not to make her give up her license, according to a court transcript obtained by The Post.

“There is a possibility that she could teach adults now or in the future and we want to preserve that possibility,” Stoll said. “She still is a talented teacher and has those skills, and I don’t see any reason to destroy her ability to make a living and to contribute to society in a positive way.”

The judge relented, but added, “This would be a matter that any licensing agency will be able to consider, if they choose to do that, and of course any employer.” The state Education Department typically reviews such cases to determine whether to revoke an educator’s license.

Orbus also noted, “I just want to make the record clear that Ms. Myers is aware that she must register as a sex offender.”

Cops got word of Myers’ misdeeds after the boy — believed to be one of Myers’ students — told a classmate, who then notified a school administrator, police said.

Myers was arrested Jan. 19 and pleaded not guilty. At the time, Stoll called Myers “a model citizen who looks forward to clearing her name.”

Orbus set sentencing for Sept. 12, and ordered Myers to report immediately to probation.

In Lewis' car, police found a "substantial" amount of meth. She told investigators "she was selling approximately 1 ounce of methamphetamine per week to supplement her income," according to court records.

Lewis, a former dance and social studies teacher at Landmark High School in Spanish Fork, was convicted in 2017 of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a third-degree felony, for having sex with a 17-year-old boy. She received a suspended sentence of up to five years at the Utah State Prison and placed on probation.

As part of the terms of her probation, Lewis was ordered to remain drug and alcohol free and undergo treatment. She was also placed on the Utah Sex Offender Registry and ordered to have no contact with current or former students.

Landmark is an alternative high school with approximately 340 students in grades 10 through 12.

This 27 year old teacher threatened a teens grades if he refused sex with her. She coerced him into sex and she was arrested in 2017 but now the teen has filed a lawsuit due to the school continuing to keep her employed and on payroll and refusing to do an internal investigation.
