So many questions, so few answers. Why am I starting the South American journey in Colombia when it is really Brazil I dream about? Should I ditch Bogota and go right for Cali or Medellin?
It's one in the morning and I have a flight in five and a half hours to Bogota yet am not even considering getting to sleep. The anticipation and fear of the unknown is overwhelming, yet I wouldnt want it any other way.
After two weeks of Thanksgiving dinner, baby watching and family reunions, it is officially on. The journey begins tomorrow in Colombia for two weeks before arriving in Brazil on December 23rd for a period best described as "indefinitely."
That's right. No more humping shitty jobs or dealing with the mindless (yet pristine) bullshit that is South Florida. Manifest destiny, motherfuckers.

Keep us updated on your travels, including the women. What is your plan for staying in brazil for an extended period? Their visa system is tough.

i thought if u leave the country every 90 days that its fine? i have to go back to the states in january and february for family stuff so i might just postpone brazil until feb or march. medellin is incredible.

From what i understand in brazil, you can extend your visa 3 months for a total of 6 months. but after that six months you have to stay out of the country for at least six months before you can re-enter. that's what a guy in love with brazil told me when i met him in argentina
