E3 video dump time.




They are finally getting around to making a sequel to this underrated ps2 game.





Looks like a father and son game. Not a common story trope in games, could be good. I played the first game which was good but I didn't like how zoomed out it was when fighting.





Looks like a Batman style spiderman game. Could be good if its more complicated than the batmans fighting controls which I thought were oversimplified.





Mario can possess anything in the first super mario open world game. And he pretends to be a mexican with a sombro. Hopefully this will offend SJWSs.





A remake of Metroid 2 for the original gameboy. 2.5d could be good. Always play these games.

I agree with Latinopan, GOT has incredibly good casting (the first season had fucking Sean Bean for Christ's sake; Charles Dance and Diana Rigg wouldn't have come cheap either) and it doesn't have the persistent, common magic that the Witcher setting has, which means GOT's special effects bill is going to be less than that of a Witcher series. If you think back, there hasn't been any blasty magic thrown around throughout GOT, not one obvious Gandalf/Merlin type shitting fireballs out his arse. Compare that to the Witcher where Geralt himself can perform low level magic and where there's at least four or five women (of whom roughly 50% or more he has personally fucked) who are demigods of magical power. To say nothing of the Wild Hunt.

My main hope for Netflix!Witcher is that they don't just try to clone GOT's approach, that they instead understand what I think is the Witcher's real genre: horror. Some of the most effective storylines in Witcher 3 are where you deal with Lovecraftian horrors like the Ladies of the Wood, which in turn are drawn from Slavic/Polish Baba Yaga myths. There's no real ultimate win against such forces, only pyrrhic ones: consider how the Family Matters quest ultimately turns out - someone winds up dying no matter what you do, and in one of these cases, an entire village gets consumed. The Witcher is more horror than fantasy: hell, insofar as there's a Chosen One in the series, it's Ciri, not you - Geralt at best is a supporting character in Ciri's story if you interpret the Witcher as high fantasy. The game, at least, works best when you're on Witcher contracts, especially the individual nightwraiths like Jenny o' the Woods and similar - where you get a good dose of tragedy and sadness in the mix.

Agreed, they shouldn't attempt to clone the feel or scope of GoT.

It's called The Witcher, it is centred around the adventures of one guy, (and his wife and stepdaughter)... There is a whole world to explore, but they can keep it small for the first series to see if there is an audience for it.

Practical effects/rubber suit monsters wouldn't look good, but they wouldn't necessarily look bad if not shot properly.

As for DW relying on eyecandy, Yen, and Game Geralt are both very goodlooking. Somehow I doubt they'd go for the stomach-turning mutant freak angle.

Im worried that the witcher show will become a monster of the week kind if deal.

I also can't get excited about Kingdom Hearts 3. It's been over ten years and they made 9 spin off games. The story just got too convoluted for me.

I was hoping to hear something from Rockstar and CD Projekt Red at E3 this year.

Nintendo stole the show for me personally with the new Mario game.

If the soundtrack is heavily Jazz influenced (like the trailer) I'll definitely be grabbing a switch.

I need to find some simple casual games. I just can't commit to huge games anymore.
Something like Braid or limbo, or the limbo sequel were simple fun, do a section and then go back to working on stuff.

I'm playing Horizon Dawn. Not far into yet, amazing graphics and gameplay is good. Facial animation is weird kind of stilted gives an uncanny valley effect.

Have you looked into online card games like Hearthstone/Shadowverse/Gwent? The games are quick, can be played on PC or mobile, and can also be free to play.

You can also get a Nintendo 3DS. The sleep feature is amazing for playing in short sections, since you can pause and restart at any point in any game. Taking into account the original DS lineup of games, there's a massive library of excellent casual games to choose from.

Rayman Origins for sure. Beautiful art style, interesting levels and a boss soundtrack.

Perfect for jump in jump out gameplay.

Other than that, Little Nightmares is a good one which reminds me a lot of Limbo.

I have PTSD from Silent Hill, one of those Resident Evil games, and Alien prior to that game, so any game with legit freakout stuff in it, I cannot touch it. I tried F.E.A.R. not long after that because I was told it was a good shooter and I was huge into CS. I dropped that one after those whatever you call em ghost/aliens I dunno, I just cannot play shit like that, which sucks because that game had a nice feel to it gameplay wise. I know there are new ones or a new one that is/has come out, but I am not touching it with a 10 foot pole. I'm good.

Yeah, we'll have to see how it ends up. Going to Fallout 4 from New Vegas was a significant downgrade in my opinion. I hope BioWare doesn't do the same corner cutting with the story in order to expand the gameplay like Bethesda did.

Still, I think the whole concept of flying robot super-suits in some sort of lush forest post apocalyptic open world sounds cool to me.

Bethesda made the shooting better in Fallout 4 but completely screwed up the dialogue, skill tree, and made it so companions weren't as effective. Their conference was terrible too.

Fallout 4 is one of those games you want to play uber badly, you buy it, play it, then wonder WTF did I just play?

If it were not for the incredible power armor, I think I would not have ever finished my first playthrough. My second playthrough I attempted a non power armor based build, with high sneak and sniping skills and I ended up rage quitting.

I had maybe 10 or more unique character saves in New Vegas that had unique builds and weapons. That game was just flat out good.

I played all the FEARs. Good atmosphere and story, but it didn't get me like the Wolfenstein. Ok, I were older but still, good setting should impact all ages.
Btw, even worse than ubersoldats were crypts. Remember the moment where you enter the crypt for the first time and drop down the hole and enter the first hallway where two or three undead knights come out of the wall immediately when you pass them?

I ragequit New Vegas when my companion disappeared for no reason I could ascertain, with all the stuff she was carrying including several rare weapons. I loaded four different previous save games to no effect.

Bitch just vanished with all my stuff.

"This game is too realistic for me" I thought and I put it back on the shelf for good.
