If it were not for the incredible power armor, I think I would not have ever finished my first playthrough. My second playthrough I attempted a non power armor based build, with high sneak and sniping skills and I ended up rage quitting.

I had maybe 10 or more unique character saves in New Vegas that had unique builds and weapons. That game was just flat out good.

My thoughts exactly but I never bothered with the power armour. Instead I went with ballistic weave on pretty much anything I could get on my character, and played on survivor mode once I had enough strong weapons and healing items to go through it. Playing on survivor mode before a major update which sucked all the fun out of it was really useful since it allowed me to discover ridiculous weapons early on in the game.

The thing that I really hated about the game was the constant screen loading which occurred every time you dared to sneeze or that sometimes the game would crash unexpectedly or the frame rate drops.

Yes it was. And I can't believe Bethesda hasn't at least teased another New Vegas 2 with Obsidian as the developers. They know how to make a game

Not a single conversation in Fallout 4 comes close to this whatsoever. You can really see where Caesar is coming from and hell, I almost wanted to side with him my very first playthrough. I preferred Mr. House though.

In contrast Fallout 4.. The video commentator is annoying but he points out some of the reasons why the dialogue sucks. It's underdeveloped with options just being yes, no, sarcasm, and ask for more info. Certain SPECIAL traits like Intelligence don't matter as much. And the characters aren't as developed.

You should have gotten Craig Boone. Try the game again and head to Novac to recruit him. Trust me. You won't regret it. Also, get the robot ED-E. These are the guys I always used.

Lol, I had Cassidy killed. She was useless in combat and her attitude annoyed me.

Veronica was pretty good in combat, repairs a lot of your shit, and gets you access to the Brotherhood in the best way possible.

I never used companions as anything other than 200 lbs of carry weight standing outside the dungeon, but that was mainly because I always play as a stealth sniper in Bethesda games and companions tend to mess that strategy up.

Speaking of New Vegas though, you can buy it for $2.50 on Steam during their summer sale. $10 for the game plus all DLC.

Anyone playing Elite Dangerous? I'm quite excited that it's finally being released on PS4 next week. I've seen plenty of criticism about it being a huge grind (but it's a space trucker grind!), but that criticism often seems to come from people who have nevertheless poured dozens or hundreds of hours into the game.

New Vegas was less retarded about this stuff. Settlements have food and water supplies and technology is coming back in a reasonable way with railroads and whatnot.

In F3 a settlement is 30 people on a half sunken ship eating 200 year old cereal that they found setting undisturbed on a grocery store shelf that was still fully stocked after two centuries. They also can't figure out railroads but can make terminators that are so advanced they think they're people.

In New Vegas the story centers around factions trying to gain control of the Hoover Dam and Las Vegas. You choose between the NCR, a faction emulating pre-war America with all its strengths but also all it's degeneracies like putting ladies in combat, the Legion which is shown in PuppetMaster's video above, or Mr. house who is Trump + Howard Hughes. You can also say fuck all of them and take over yourself. The game has a brilliant faction system that allows you to work for multiple competing factions at once and even do things like purposely fuck up missions to sabotage a faction from the inside. The DLC involves helping a group of Christians led by one of the best characters in vidya history fight off or escape from a hostile tribe.

In Fallout 3 the story centers around two factions fighting over control of a water purifier. One wants to give everyone free water and the other wants to poison the water and murder everyone for, like, no reason. Activating the water purifier requires you to enter a room with high levels of radiation and sacrifice yourself even though you have several companions that are either robots or immune to radiation. The DLC involves getting abducted by aliens and meeting a samurai and a cowboy.

I haven't bought a game in years but I would pick up New Vegas 2 on day one if the hacks at Bethesda let Obsidian make it.

There is another game developed by Obsidian called Alpha Protocol out there that I think is worth trying.



The gameplay is very flawed and it has some bugs. However, the story alone makes it worth trying. There is no video game to this date that has pulled off the voice dialogue system like Alpha Protocol. The way you interact with characters matter. Some characters like when you are straightforward and others get offended by it. Other characters like when you banter back n forth with them whereas others hate smart ass comments. This is a factor that leads to you either being loved or hated by them. This impacts their behavior in the game.

How much intel you collect, the tactics you use, and the order in which you play the game impacts who you meet and which missions unlock first.


The game is pretty short, clocking in at around 10-15 hrs but it is meant to be replayed multiple times.

Unlike the Witcher 3 which made the game for newcomers but perfected it for fans, metro made the game for fans and themselves and said forget newcomers. It’s not really made to e joy unless you played or Atleast seen a good bit of the first 2 games.

I’m not giving it an excuse but how are you going to be pulled into the story or care about what’s going on if u don’t understand the rest

Kinda like KH3, it was underwhelming to me because I didn’t play the other 300000 games besides 1-2, yet I somewhat liked it because I watched a summery before playing it.

But yea the metro series is loved because of its lore, atmosphere, character development, and visual and sound design. Combat is fun but the point of the game is to make you feel bad.

In addition to what Donfitz007 said, I must add that Exodus is in fact console port and that is why are you experiencing sluggishness. Thank the gods its not the same botched job as Dark Souls I was, but it is still apparent.

I'm playing the (base) PS4 version. And nearly all major games are multi-platform these days so that's not really an excuse.
In any case I do think it runs at or close to 30 fps most of the time - like the majority of console games - the sluggishness seems like more of a design choice or design sloppiness.

Just play Alien: Isolation in easy mode dude.

I've played and beaten Dark Souls and believe me, that game is WAY more difficult than the Alien game on Hard mode.
