For the RVFers who have subscribed to Kindle Unlimited, how is it?

Specifically, how's the selection of books and do you find yourself reading more/less/about the same?

(For those who don't know Kindle unlimited is a service from Amazon.com where you can download unlimited books for $10 a month. But not all books are part of the program).

I'm not an unlimited subscriber. When I am looking for books the box showing the kindle price will usually show it is free for unlimited members and I've only seen it a few times. I read primarily non fiction.

I haven't looked at it that closely though so this is just a superficial observation.

I would like to know this also..I already have a backlog of like 100books on my kindle fire.
80 percent non fiction. The books I see on unlimited seem to be mainly fiction.

If they have the books I want with audio copies..it might be worth it..other wise..I'm not reading twilight and Harry potter

Seeing as the only books that will be "unlimited" are the ones they where going to give away for free anyways, id say no.

Just a heads up.

Kindle Unlimited is free for the first month.

I activated my free trial this week and download a bunch of books, such as:
- To End All Wars: A Story of Loyalty and Rebellion, 1914-1918, by Adam Hochschild
- King Leopold's Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror, and Heroism in Colonial Africa, by Adam Hochschild
- Bury the Chains: Prophets and Rebels in the Fight to Free an Empire's Slaves, by Adam Hochschild
- WAR GOD: Nights of the Witch, by Graham Hancock
- Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage, by Alfred Lansing

Considering these books cost US$7-10 each, there's value to be had in this free trial. There does seem to be a lot of trashy/amateur books avaiable though, and not that many best sellers.

Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage was probably my favorite book for about two months when I was growing up. Straight up badass.
