I see a lot of interesting talk in this thread, but did anyone eventually get to bang some girls? Or did you just get caught up looking at all the candy around you? I'd love to hear some "just banged a girl at the yoga" stories.

As a sidenote, I once banged a yoga instructor I met on the street, but never went to any yoga class. ONe of the fastest bangs ever.

I wrote a series on it: http://www.thegmanifesto.com/2012/06/yog...class.html

It took me a while.

However, I have swooped some Yoga girls out at night lately.

Who says that Nightgame sucks?

One was a Yoga instructor from SF (of all places!) on vacation to the little slice of paradise I currently am staying in.

NIce post, G.

I especially liked how you describe the male (non)competition as "softer than a soft serve cone in Venice Beach in August."

how long should a Yoga course be to have any effect on our body/mind? (whatever that might be). My guess is a few months.

RE: Two words - HOT YOGA
here's one unexpected positive side effect from doing bikram and i'm sure i'm not imagining it
i'm normally 5 feet 11 inches or at least i was until recently
in a recent health exam, my height was recorded as a shade over 6 feet
i thought it was surprising at the time, but passed no remarks
until a night out with some friends recently and i noticed that the really tall guys weren't towering over me like before and people who used to be on eye-level with me, were now noticably an inch or two shorter
i wasn't wearing shoes with a high sole or anything
so i'm seriously considering that all the stretching i've been doing of my spine has given me an extra 0.5 inch at least, perhaps even an inch extra in height
anyone else found a similar effect

Of course. Stretching things makes them longer.

Oh no.

I can see this "Yoga Thread" transforming into another "Height Thread".

I was thinking more...

I noticed significant improvement in 2-3 sessions, but the key was to go to all of them in a short time frame.

I see very little benefit if I only go 1 time a week. 2 is alright, but going 3 times in a week saw a larger jump

RE: Two words - HOT YOGA
I've been teaching mostly Meditation & related stuff, and some basic yoga (to get body ready for meditation) for a few years on the side.

I am not big into paying lots of $$$ to go to a yoga class/ studio as I can already do most of what I "want to do".

I am wondering if I should do a certification (not in the US for sure..) / teachers training ( in India/ asia) and leverage that for being a part time teacher or get into teachers circles for payment free classes.

Thoughts?

How long have you been doing Yoga to stat learning to teach? Great plan btw...I'm thinking the same thing...

You can start as a complete beginner and take a 5 week teacher training which will give you the yoga certification required to teach.

Take this course for example:

http://www.hathayoga-meditation.com/yoga...-india.php

That is just one course. There are many others, including many in the US and Canada. They are more expensive of course. I haven't registered for a class yet. If there is enough interest, a bunch of us guys could take it together.

(03-17-2011 08:10 PM)hydrogonian Wrote:  This is a new fad, but it looks cool as far as picking up women goes. The only thing is that the class sizes are small, or maybe nonexistent in some cities as of yet, but that may change if it really starts to catch on. The pluses are that is seems like there is much more opportunity to socialize during class than in a yoga class and, if the women are the priority, its not as much of a commitment as far as working out goes (or so it seems). Plus, if you get good, you can join Cirque du Soleil:

Aerial Silks

Notice the one guy in the video: obviously there for the women. It seems as if it would be hit or miss as far as hotties go, but if you get lucky, then that's a great situation in which to do some work.

Here's a class in Atlanta:

http://www.aerialsilksatlanta.com/

Also, having an ex-business partner who once owned a now-failed yoga studio, I wouldn't really recommend going into the group workout field. It can be lot's of hustling to stay afloat. But for you guys considering becoming an instructor in something, then in Aerial Silks it seems like it would be easier to accomplish that goal than in yoga. Plus, you get to 'spot' the women every class.

(03-18-2011 12:56 AM)Giovonny Wrote:  Out here in the SF Bay Area, this is nothing new. Guys have been hitting the yoga classes for over 10 years now. People are always talking about the "talent" at their local studio . There are a few free classes which are also like singles events. Not all of them are, but a few of them get like 50 people and everyone knows they are gonna be checking each other out, so they dress and look good. But it can be tricky to find your yoga niche.

Its really a commitment to stay there and stretch for over an hour if you are not into it. Do you really wanna do that for 2-3 times a week just to talk to a few girls after class. You could go to the college library and talk to the same girls for free all day long. Which reminds me, the college yoga classes are better then the studio yoga classes. The girls are more open and talkative at he college, its not such a serious culture.

I like doing it so I just go to a bunch of different health clubs and yoga studios around town. Sometimes I get free passes, sometimes I sneak in or know someone working there. If I see something I like I will just chat her up after class. I don't wanna waste 3-4 hours in class just waiting to approach a girl. Thats the thing about yoga, its alot of time to spend just waiting to approach a girl. You could just come after class, hang out in the lobby and approach the same girls without wasting 2 hours of your time.

Another approach is to just join a studio and go consistently for a few months. This will give you a chance to get to know the girls over time. You will see alot of the same girls two or three times a week, its almost like going to school with them. These guys obviously have the inside track and will cockblock you if you just show up and try to game their "classmates".

I have friend who lifts weights all winter and then as soon as its start to get warm in the late spring, he joins the best yoga studio with the best girls. This is the best way to get "cut up/ripped" for summer and you are guaranteed to have a bunch of hotties as classmates.

As far as becoming a teacher, if your not really into yoga, you probably are not gonna want to go through all the training and study. Its almost like a lifestyle commitment. Just doing it for the girls is probably not worth all the time and effort.

Just go to a class and hit on the hot girls after, they are horny after class. Just have your story straight before you go in there. Mixx's salsa story is perfect. You wanna say something like that.

(03-18-2011 09:44 AM)MiXX Wrote:  Ok, so my very first impressions after taking my very first Yoga class ever.

No. 1 - I love it!!! No, this has nothing to do with women at Yoga class ( I'll get there shortly), but what an incredibly relaxing and stress-releasing experience. I was very skeptical at first, but I am convinced that Yoga should definitely be included in ANY lifestyle. Wether you are a seasoned boxer going for the WBC tittle, a bodybuilder competing for Mr. Olympia, a football player in College, or just a regular Joe in a corporate office 8hrs every day.

No wonder women are horny (or at least open to the idea of sex) in these classes. The stretches release endorphins (very quickly) that make you feel really good, relaxed and at peace. All of the elements for wanting sex are triggered by these 3 components in place.

Let me also point out that there are MANY versions of Yoga. Hot Yoga, as mentioned on this thread, is just 1 of about 10 sought-after different styles in the market. However, Hot Yoga means nothing more than the studio being heated to 115 degrees (F) on purpose! This is done to relax your muscles and get them ready for the poses you will do. You will still do all the poses anywhere else.

No. 2 I did not do a Hot yoga class because I specifically read that this is very hard-core, and thus women are focusing their attentions/efforts on doing the class, and bolting to the showers at home. Soooo, I chose to do a variation of Yoga that involves peers interacting, helping, and giving feedback to the instructor and each other to allow Kino, and trust building BEFORE, DURING and AFTER CLASS! The studio I chose also does "social" events. Every Friday they have movie night in the studio, they have outdoor trips etc that lead to student interactions with each other, and their own bodies. Oh yeah, the style of Yoga I did is called "Ying Yang" Yoga.

No. 3 as already stated, timing is everything. Some classes will fill-up with women, some with mostly couples looking to bond and spice things up with each other for sex in their marriage, some classes will have older people as the majority, and some classes will have mostly women. You have to stick and move to different studios and find out which class has the best possible outcome of women and also, which classes are conducive to peer-interaction.

No. 4 - My plan is to vist MANY Yoga studios, as the one you pick may not necessarily be the best one for you to hang your hat on. So, I strongly recommend taking 10 clases in each studio, to get a good "feel" for the teachers, students and overall f-close possibilities. Then find another studio elsewhere and do 5 classes there until you find a home.

No 5. the class I attended was worth it! I now know I love Ying Yang Yoga to relieve stress from my intense player lifestyle, and it is incredibly relaxing and challenging at the same time.

I'll eventually do a Hot Yoga class, but I want to at least get 3 months of warm Yoga stretching under my belt, so that I am not at all "lost", and can game the more advance Yogi chics better in Hot Yoga classes. They take this shit seriously!

TIPS: Bring your own mat to class, and always say you have been doing Yoga for 1 month, but are still learning. I notice it looks better to the women already there as they immediately suspect any heterosexual male in a class to be there to chase women only, and not really for the Yoga culture.

As far as dressing goes, I notice that a pair of Gi Karate pants (black) look really good, with a nice sleeveless shirts to show your arm muscles as you walk in. I got a lot of attention by wearing a sleeveless under-armour shirt, a nice surfer necklace, and those thin under-armour arm bands you see B-ball players wearing.

I gamed one girl, and she was very closed off at first for the reasons I already stated, so it seems that women will need to see you there a few times, making an effort in the class to start trusting you and eventually, fucking you.

As far as teaching goes, I would definitely say get 6 months of experience first. Even if you are in great shape and already have a six-pack, Yoga is different - it involves stretching, learning the culture and becoming more spiritual in nature. You'll be a better person, and instructor for it.

...more to come.

The gym I go to is in a financial zone, yoga class is full of hot women, but I wouln't reccoment it for gaming because: most arrive from work in a rush directly to class, lights are out and you can't talk during class, as it finishes the girls rush to lockers to bath or dress and then leave to their homes. Perhaps it may work in a hipster zone gym, but for a gym in a financial zone, everyone has the constraint of time and it would be difficult to initiate contact.

Some of you guys need to chill out.

bikram yoga class is not some easy pass at tons of chicks. It takes a long time to get good. The shit is harder than running a 5K at first.

Yeah the ratios are there but during class everyones quiet and after class everyone leaves. Yes there are some good opportunities and in the winter time there are a lot more younger better looking girls.

Everyone here really should do hot yoga as the benefits for your body are outstanding. However don't expect pussy paradise just cuz the ratios are in your favor.

If you suck at getting women in real life then bikram yoga is not going to be your easy access pass to attention from cute girls.

I go to two yoga classes: one in the CBD corporate zone, the other in hipsterville. They're pretty much the same. The only difference is that there are more hairy gaia-worship girls in the hipsterville one.

RE: Two words - HOT YOGA
guys, check groupon for deals on yoga. I am currently doing a 1 month unlimited at Corepower Yoga in los angeles, they threw in a free week since I was a new member, and it was $10 off because i had just installed the groupon app for my phone(10 bucks off your first purchase within 24 hours of installing the app). 59 bucks for 5 weeks of all the yoga I can do. You can do that deal with corepower once every 6 months. I will try a different studio when my 5 weeks is up.

So far, it is very promising, I go daily. I haven't got any numbers or bangs yet, just trying to get good at the yoga. The women really do roll up their mats and run as soon as the class ends. talent is high, the competition is non existent. Workouts are phenomenal(i am doing the hot yoga)

Glad this thread was revived, there's a $7 cash class weekly in town here that I'll have to check out. I still have a yoga mat somewhere from when we were doing it at work.

RE: Two words - HOT YOGA
Late to this thread so some of it has already been covered, but here’s my two cents as someone who has considerable hot yoga experience:

Make sure it is indeed an area with favorable demographics. In others, you'll find a whole lot of middle-aged women.

The evening and weekend classes will tend to be more youthful. In the daytime you’ll get more housewives and self-employed.

The "shitting where you eat" principle can apply. It's a small community, so tread carefully. “Gym game” rules apply to a great degree.

It’s generally best to leave the staff alone. In any case, the majority of unattached yoga instructors are neither very young nor particularly hot.

No dumpster diving, your rep will take too big of a hit. As soon as you make any kind of a move, they’ll all know, fast.

Beware the over-thirty-never-marrieds. Some real nutcases in that segment of the yoga crowd.

It's no secret that the gender ratio makes yoga studios attractive to males, so you may find it especially helpful to play it cool, being quietly aloof until you’ve become a familiar face. Getting pegged as an eager, newbie horndog can activate the beta alarm, and as we know too well, a group of women is like a beehive in the way they rapidly communicate amongst themselves. This is not a bar/nightclub. Unless you’re traveling, take a few weeks to first establish yourself.

Yoga schools are somewhat like churches, try not to be too brash, use cocky/funny sparingly if at all.

Remember, females are naturally adept at noticing your noticing. It takes a while to learn how to look without it looking like you're looking. Glance via the mirrors, rather than directly. Don't let your eyes linger, just take a (figurative) picture. The further the physical distance from her (whether directly, or due to mirrors), the safer it is to catch a glance. Unless you’ve gotten IOIs and are ready to make a move, better to glance at her bod than her eyes. Don’t let her see you glance more than once (fostering the idea that you weren’t impressed enough to want to take a second look). The ideal is to get between two young ladies (one to your left and one to your right), because you’ll have an open ticket on scrutinizing figures during the floor series. But be on guard for her to quickly "accidentally" flip her head in the wrong direction to catch you looking.

Usually better to cop a seat after class and let the prospects “happen” to sit near you, rather than do cold approaches. IOIs needed as much as anywhere else. Yoga schools are indeed good for hunting, but don’t think it’ll be shooting fish in a barrel. The laws of biomechanics apply as much here as anywhere else.

If a group goes out to eat/drink after class, do join them (with the obvious exceptions like the Omega Moo sorority, homos, etc.).

Go out of your way to avoid getting on the wrong side of the female staff. It’s the hive again; if you get on their shitlist you can get instantly cockblocked by osmosis.

If you can attend more than one location, go for it. Other things equal, the more the better. Better to show up once or twice a week at a given school than become a fixture.

You needn’t be a champion, but it’s strongly to your advantage to become a competent yogi. Hard to impress the ladies (and they will be watching) if the practice is completely kicking your ass, which it will as a beginner. Three times a week minimum to get over the hump. If you can get to the point where you can tolerate doubles (back-to-back classes), the health benefits are phenomenal and you’ll get respect.

Hot yoga and weightlifting is a helluva combo for health and appearance. Highly recommended, especially for an older man pushing back against the effects of aging on appearance and libido. If you exert yourself in hot yoga, it can put a real glow in your eyes. The closest thing I’ve found to the fountain of youth.

Travler, I agree with most of what you wrote, but disagree with what you said about it being a mistake to try to run game on the yoga instructors. So long as you do not run bad game, you will be fine. I will ask out at least one of my yoga instructors, I already talk to them after class because they are the only ones that stick around, they have to stick around because they work there. Almost all of the yoga instructors are bangable, a couple are in their 40s and look old in the face, but still have a bangable body, the rest are 8s(or better) in their 20s and 30s. If the yoga staff in your area is not young, nor hot, then sure I can understand not wanting to bang any of them. But that just isn't the case at my studio.

Hot Yoga feels great. Everything in OP is spot on - lotta girls, people are self conscious, but in their bodies. If you just go in, have fun, talk to people, you'll do well and have low competition.

Also, yoga is great to pair with weightlifting, as it's mostly body weight stuff. Don't knock the other benefits. If you've got a desk job, this is a great activity.

Have you tried any new studios in New York? I'm thinking about signing up for some classes in Soho.

Jivamukti is my favorite! The NYC jivamukti studio is the international hub of it all.

That's the main reason I want to try yoga. My back needs a better stretch after squats and deadlifts. I took a few yoga classes a while back when my gym offered them and my posture was impeccable, seems like an overall win.

RE: Two words - HOT YOGA
I've been to quite a few yoga studios in my city (Melbourne) in the last 18 months, and most have older not-hot women. Chubby chicks doing yoga for exercise are the most common. Occasionally you have a hottie but she's only there for one or two sessions at most, then you'll never see her again. And after class, she bolts out of the door so fast you have no chance to run any game.

There's one exception I've found though. In the last couple of weeks, I've been attending a college / university yoga class and it's full of talents. Been running some small talks while feeling the place out. Been getting some decent IOIs as well but again I'm having some problems with girls getting in & out of the place so fast instead of lingering around to give you some time & space to run game. I'm a bit limited on time myself as well since I have to work (I work nearby close to a campus).

Logistically, the issue is this: I get repeated looks & smiles from a cute chick in class, but after class, as I go get my shoes and roll up my mat, she's already out of the door, sometimes throwing another look my way on the way out. I can be direct and approach her straight away but I think that might be too obvious and observable by every other girl in class. Also, in 3 classes I've done so far, I have not seen the same attractive girl (I do scan the room lol) return. They're there for one session every now & then, it seems, so it's not quite the same as a college class. I've run some game on the girls next to me but while friendly, they aren't biting the baits - yet.

If you've got any tip, please post it up!

Will keep working on it...

Bumping this thread because I've started a 5x5 strength training and have heard good things about Yoga as a weight lifting supplement.

So, I am in the Chicago northern suburbs. Anyone familiar with any good Yoga studios in this area? Preferably ones with younger women?

RE: Two words - HOT YOGA
I've done yoga super casually over the past 3 years, and at nearly every class there has been a girl I wanted to approach (including one who I actually did approach, instadated, and we proceeded to text for a week and I nearly got her to my house until I got hit with a "it'd be wrong for me to come over by myself when I have a boyfriend.")

Regardless, yeah, yoga is definitely a great spot for prospecting.

RE: Two words - HOT YOGA
It's the real deal. 43yr old here that used to do it every other day. Now, after roughly 4 years of doing zero yoga, I am still reaping the benefits of my hot yoga years. It was expensive and I just traded the whole thing for jogging at the gym, getting a good sweat then hitting sauna for even more sweating. The Bikram years taught me how to "deep listen' to the body and really explore the ceiling of flexibility, but also deep stillness. Did the cold shower afterward and really expunged some gnasty junk from the cells.

Now I just walk a lot and stretch too. For me, the thing that stayed was the one/two puffs of ganja, which really helps me drop into a that 'zone' again. I'd be down to join another class and get back in, but in a more maintenance mode.

Of course, having some chicks big sweaty ass in your face is a thing of extreme beauty. Only once did I approach and finish an older scraggly ho. During the class, she was breathing really loud and after some vague eye-contact, I took her home. On the way, we got Hi. Turn out to be kind of a meth-type but I busted one in her mouth, so there.

Great thread though - Generally hot yoga is a great place to find a keeper. My hook up was extremely rare and weird af. I tend to be a coffee-shop/library master these days. [/align]
