Okay, I dont know about the rest of you but every time I have been pulled over by a cop I never thought to myself, "hey let's attack the cop...." or "hey, let's be a dick and fuck with them..." Usually I try to be very respectful because I dont want to get a fucking ticket or worse. No struggles have ever ensued in the many encounters I have had with police throughout my life and I have been put in cuffs more than once.

In both of these stories, some type of altercation took place where it got physical with the police officer. I don't know whats going on in these encounters because I wasnt there but in a lot of these cases of police brutality, the police were provoked in some way or another. I am not defending the police action of using lethal force because it is obviously excessive in most of these cases. However, cops dont just walk down the street executing people for shits and giggles. Usually they only do that when you take it upon yourself to go and fuck with them.

Who did Michael Brown fuck with exactly? All bystanders confirm that he was moving away from the police vehicle and was shot while he had his hands up in the air...unarmed.

FAA sets no-fly zone over Ferguson
Quote:The Federal Aviation Administration on Tuesday issued a no-fly zone over Ferguson, Missouri, to last until Monday, after tensions escalated in the town following the fatal shooting of an unarmed teen over the weekend.
According to the FAA’s website, the agency restricted the airspace above the St. Louis suburb “to provide a safe environment for law enforcement activities.”

It prevents any aircraft from flying in the area below 3,000 feet, the notice said.
Racial tensions erupted in Ferguson after 18-year-old Michael Brown was allegedly shot multiple times by a local police officer Saturday, The Associated Press reported.
President Barack Obama and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder have weighed in on Brown’s death, which has led to a separate FBI investigation that will include the assistance of attorneys from the Justice Department’s civil rights division.
It’s not unusual for the FAA to restrict flights over crime scenes, particularly high-profile ones, as law enforcement seeks to restrict access by news media with helicopters. Recently, the FAA clamped down on flights during the standoff between Cliven Bundy’s supporters and the Bureau of Land Management in Nevada — as well as immediately after the Boston Marathon bombing.

Vox is gay but it's one of the first to come up in my Google search: http://www.vox.com/2014/8/11/5988925/mik...s-st-louis

First paragraph: n August 9, Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager, was killed by a police officer in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Missouri. Eyewitnesses to the shooting report that Brown was killed while attempting to surrender, but police say that Brown assaulted the officer before the shooting.

Usually you only need to surrender if you are in a fight. I highly doubt the cops just went up and started a fight with a random person. Brown probably started the fight and as he was giving himself up the police got carried away (because they were just attacked) and shot him.

Michael Brown's friend describes the shooting.

All I'm saying is that cop has a lot of explaining to do. Lets see what happens.

Cops should all be forced to wear cameras on their person that are on the entire time they are on duty.

Or they can be taught decency and be forced to undergo psychiatric evaluations. I'd be willing to bet there are a lot of cops walking around who should be on the other side of the metal bars.

That aint gonna happen though so the cameras are probably a good idea.

The Police is 'saying' that they did nothing but protect and save. LOL. At this point of my life I do not even believe 80 percent of what CNN says. This is what happen when every Police Dept in the Union is armed up to their teeth. And they want me to surrender my guns? No way Jose.

Same shit happen to grandpa back when Castro took over and he was made Castro's sheep till he dropped dead.

I think cameras are a good idea. The same kind of hidden cams that PUAs where doing their infield videos. That way all the evidence is there of who started what.

I can definitely see the two kids being pricks and not moving out the middle of the road. I can also believe the cop getting pissed because he was basically told to fuck off and getting physical with him just as the witness said.

Just because someone mouths of to a cop doesn't mean deadly force is necessary. Looks like it could of possibly happened here
jariel · 2014-08-13 21:14:00 · #112
Taking what the police say at face value given their history is downright laughable, the volume of such a laugh track becomes even more deafening when you listen to the police dispatch tapes and read the statements made thus far from witnesses which don't corroborate anything from the cold-blooded killer's self-serving story that he gave to his superiors.

We're supposed to believe that in the heat of the moment, a whole neighborhood of people got together to create a consistent lie about the events of the day, just because the shooter had a badge?

What the fuck is going on in America when journalists are wearing combat helmets? Dafuq? Look at those photos. Is that America or Iraq?

Everyone needs to take a good hard look at themselves and calm the fuck down. Of course, that's not going to happen. If I were a cop, I'd probably be paranoid and trigger happy given the quality of some of the people I would have to deal with on a daily basis. On the other hand, if I lived in one of those communities and behaved myself, I'd probably see the police as the enemy too. It's a vicious cycle. Meanwhile, certain opportunistic dickheads -- civilian or police -- exacerbate the problem for everyone.

I'll tell you what's even more fucked up. I don't even know whether to believe the reporters. These days, I put the media in the same category as everyone else causing the problems: a bunch of shit-stirring hacks with an agenda and interest in seeing everything go to shit, even if they have to give it a helping hand. The reporters probably were given a raw deal, but I still can't 100% trust those fuckers either.

There was more tear gas tonight as well. Police have also imposed a defacto curfew on the area (applicable to all residents and media), and have limited protest to daytime hours.

Also, the mayor of Ferguson and many of the residents there have been saying that the vast majority of the people who were participating, and were later arrested in the looting and property destruction, were not residents of Ferguson, but were from downtown St. Louis and nearby North County cities.

All those riots have to be put into perspective

1. Poor people will riot. The reasons are mostly economic coupled with a feeling of being victims, which is often created by the media which often attempts to separate the races (Trayvon Martin case, while being silent about most of the shit happening). Also London riots where mostly white poor looted (again most of them raised by single moms there).

2. It has little to do with race. I know that some of the black community may have a hard time getting out the economic sinkhole there, but it is more created by a vicious cycle of single mothers (partly created by the state as support was dished out only without a man around), drug abuse, bad schools in the regions etc. If you look for example at black immigrants in countries like Germany you see basically second generation blacks who are at least middle class and educated. They are just like white Germans with a darker tan. But they had access to financial help even when both parents were in the house and they had the opportunity to go to good schools and study for free.

3. The police is getting militarized and more of this will be happening. No surprise there - if you've got guys in the force who were killing people left and right in Afghanistan and then you expect them to behave as officers of peace like in the 1950s (sometimes even doing service without a gun!), then you are deluded. Those guys will be getting trigger happy and yes, racial profiling will be done by them - even if the cops are black, they will likely treat a "brotha" differently than a white guy. Again in my opinion it has not much to do with a racial "aggressive" gene, but rather with the fact of social and economic heritage and the mindsets stemming from it.

All of this would not be happening if we had economic prosperity, more stable households (for example giving only married couples financial support instead of single moms), better schools, jobs available for the young, etc. But since the system is deteriorating fast I expect more of that shit to come. We should just not be separated so easily by the spinning of the media.

Will the U.N. sanction a no-fly zone over Missouri and limited air-strikes to weaken the regime's capacity to act against its own citizens?

This is very close to what I posted a few pages back.

The problem is based on economics. If these communities had opportunities in the form of jobs and education, we wouldn't have this mess.

The source of the problems is NOT the police. And it is NOT some invisible boogie man bad guy. It is the Democratic party buying votes by paying women to have kids out of wedlock.

As long as the Democratic party buys votes by telling women they are constant victims and handing them a little bit of money to have kids without a dad around, this will continue. This will get worse. This will spread to more areas.

The root cause of all of this is feminism.

This is the result of the militarization of the police, i.e. approaching citizens as enemy combatants. Why the hell do you have police show up in military gear that even veterans from Iraq didn't wear? Check this quote from a business insider article:

"We rolled lighter than that in an actual warzone" - soldier from the 82nd Airborne Division.

In addition to shooting an unarmed black kid who had his hands up according to disparate witnesses, the paramilitary police showed how far gone they are by instituting a no-fly zone, shutting down Internet service, confiscating cell phones from witnesses, tear-gassing peaceful citizens, aiming sniper rifles at unarmed American citizens, violating the constitutional rights of citizens to free assembly, cocking their guns at peaceful demonstrators, muzzling the media through arrests and tear-gassing, etc...

I don't recall anything like this happening when the Nevada rancher and actual armed militia members engaged in a standoff with the US govt. I even recall Libertarians like Rand Paul rushing in to defend Bundy until he was revealed to be the racist, welfare cheat that he was.
No Libertarians are speaking up about the militarization of the police, and the power of surveillance state as demonstrated in Ferguson.

This is just the beginning. This is a trial run. The institutional powers that be will watch to see what sort of response will be generated to this gross abuse of power and will incrementally proceed with standardizing these practices across the country.
