Pretty young things get hundreds of texts.

This past Sat night I was hanging out with these 2 chicks. Every 5 minutes different dudes were hitting them up:

1) exbf sending long texts that were pretty beta & pathetic but she got really emotional reading them and even wanted to go meet up with him
2) dudes hitting them up "I got a jay, let's smoke it" "Hey got some vicodins. Come over."
3) dudes just flat out texting, "come fuck me"
4) "hey im at taco bell, come meet me and lets hang out.)
5) "im at the club. you should come."

My mind was blown. I teased them about it. They laughed and said, "yeah it's so much fun being popular and hot!"

Texting is totally different than picking up the phone and talking like it was 10 years ago because its a quick ping that requires less commitment from the girl but at the same time provides a 1000% more competition as a guy because the girl has so many options...free food, free drugs, free booze, whips & chains from a FB, etc.

^^^Monster, just out of curiosity, where would these 2 chicks rank on a scale of 1-10? Were they legit super hot 10's? or were they more solid but not SUPER hot 7's or 8's? Just curious.

RE: What has changed in the last ten years ?
Several factors all working together:

* Technologies that eliminate personal contact. It's easier to flake/blow someone off/play 'fuckaround' when they don't have to talk or have face-to-face contact.
* Women having a completely and totally delusional opinion of both themselves and their value. They think they are princesses, entitled to what they consider 'the best', regardless of how fat, gross, socially inept or just plain defective they really are. 'Sex and the City' Syndrome.
* Sharp decline of civility in today's (Western and Westernized) world.

Throw them all together, mix and there you go: Millions upon millions of worthless heifers that think they shit ice cream. And will tell you so.

To reiterate and reinforce what has been said:

* Girls think they are the center of the universe due to social media and the internet and feminism
* Guys so damn thirsty due to lack of acceptance of masculinity, understanding of masculinity, and lack of role models that combine to form the anti-social gamer/weed guy. Of course it is a bit more complex than this
* People generally fearful of what the media tells us to keep us in line
* Our government designing a socialization system that keeps itself entrenched in power by pushing individualization when in fact, we are group-oriented creatures

* People to stupid due to lack of proper education to realize what is going on

That's about it in a nutshell.

I think the breakdown of communities plays a part too. Even ten years ago the world was less cosmopolitan and women tended not to migrate across their countries and even the world for work.

Life is like a constant holiday for these girls now; zero social consequences. 10 years ago girls behaved like they do now just one week per year when they went away with their girlfriends.

Lotta stuff here about the impact of technology. Very interesting.

Followup question... how do you think it's going to change in the next ten years?

Longterm, I might be out of country by then, but I'm still curious where people think the tides are pointing.

I'm expecting societal collapse in several countries or further degeneration of society if we continue down this road. So I'm expecting massive change.

RE: What has changed in the last ten years ?
Wow, tons of good replies. I wasn't a player 10 years ago, but I was 20. I'll post what I see that has changed from a Canadian/my perspective:

1.) Most people didn't have cell phones 10 years ago. I remember at UBC in Fall 2002 (so 12 years ago when I was 18) going out to places - parties, clubs, events in the dorms and never seeing a cell phone. The guys who did have phones were *NOT* the cool guys. They were techno geeks using their weird gadget to try and differentiate themselves from the rest of us. Of course, phones couldn't do nearly as much as they used to either. Of course, some rich alpha dude probably had a cell phone to peacock even more, but he had already established himself as cool.

2.) Smart phones, not cell phones really changed the game. Even with cell phones, I could get a number, call the girl, talk and except a date. Most of the key pads back then were too small and uncomfortable to text on. Also, texts were hideously expensive. Girls texting each other all night was a great way to get a $500-$2000 phone bill and have super pissed off parents.

3.) It was just starting to become a thing that everyone even had a computer at home, let alone an internet connection. It was a big deal that Victoria and Vancouver had high speed internet in '99 to '02 because most places it seemed were still on dial up. Ergo, NO social media. The concept of it barely existed at all.

4.) Since there was no easy way to flake, it meant if you didn't show up, you were STANDING SOMEONE UP. It was a HUGE insult. I got stood up once (on purpose by her) and didn't give that girl the time of day after that. The concept of flaking now back then would have been interpreted as "playing games" and a girl wouldn't get any guys asking her out once word got out.

5.) The clothing and fashion standards were different of course - but there was less... Validation of weird alternative ugly styles especially for guys. If you dressed like a hobo, you were not a hipster or cool, you got told you looked like a fucking hobo and go get some real clothes on if you wanted to be taken seriously. And this is for dudes I'm talking about. Alternative chicks were freaks you stayed away from. Not that that stopped me, but I got bitten and learned my lesson.

6.) As implied by #5, the internet normalized a lot of previously weird and unnacceptable subcultures. There's been some benefits to this, but overall... I think a lot of the inner crazy for men and women got let out.

RE: What has changed in the last ten years ?
Where do I start?

For me in England I noticed a lot of things but I only really connected the dots after finding the likes of Leykis and now RVF.

- Places like Ibiza, Tenerife, Megaluff were perhaps a glimpse into our society when morals, social cohesion and control were reduced to mere animalistic standards.

Once word got out of how easy the "whores on tour" were it was a free-for-all for a huge number of guys with their shitty fashion sense, pathetic behaviour and thirst to ruin the place.

The result was attention whoring of a magnitude not seen before and it filtered back to the UK, You now had girls in the range of 3-6 acting like 7-9s.

- Technology like smartphones and social media only exasperated issues which were normally kept within local circles.

I knew some real hot slutty girls in my high school year and the only cock they got was local older lads.

Now? These high school girls get god knows how much attention from a varied range of dick and they can keep it on the down-low which has become very important to them.

Smart sluts are hard to spot if they cover their tracks.

A young man who seeks out new lands and women can use these tools to his advantage.

These same tools are used by women to not only improve her life chances but her ego and sense of worth.

Longterm, I might be out of country by then, but I'm still curious where people think the tides are pointing.

I could see it swinging back the other way. There's a generation of children and younger brothers and sisters who are growing up largely-unsupervised by parents in social media comas. Particularly as I've recently seen mainstream articles suggesting not overparenting, saying it's 'for the good of the children', whilst actually being about excusing them from hovering so they can focus on their own online narcissism.

Generations are usually reactionary, and as this one discovers they can get up to all sorts of shit without anyone stopping them, mobile phones will seem really dull and 'for old people'. They'll be far more mentally-resilient, and more savvy about personal-interactions.

RE: What has changed in the last ten years ?
Good thread

Im constantly second guessing myself if its cause I'm getting up there in the years or its cause of the changes with all the social media garbage

But i've def noticed a big change

Just a few things
1.As far as competition ...10 years ago going to spring break places the amount of big gym dudes was maybe 5% ....now these days the number has increased ten fold
not saying these guys are all smooth but obviously its a big turn on for women
2.the world is a much smaller place ...10-15 years ago banging chicks from 30 or more different countries was a pretty big deal...these days its much more achievable or common place for well travelled people
3. a number was once a pretty solid thing....today I find you might need to get 2-3 to get one to bite
You would make a call instead of texting
4. It seemed 10 years ago aside from being attracted to a girl it was easier to get a real "connection" ...maybe its just being with a lot of women or getting jaded but its rare I get a connection with a girl now vs just being turned on by her
5.tv shows like what happens in karvos shows how much more even the trolls feel self entitled these days.....its horrific!
6.attention spans are much much shorter

basically alot of what people have already said...the good thing is 10 years ago there was less women travelling from all over and living in different cities so make the most of that!

RE: What has changed in the last ten years ?
Guys with the sharpest game are probably doing better now than 10 years ago. The invention of the cellular telephone was the single best thing for alpha men. Here's why.

Real elite guys, like the top 1%, had to go out and do something to go get girls. They had to go to bars, talk, game, and pick up. Now, with girls being sluttier and thirstier than ever for alpha cock, can be convinced to come over for a bang from the comfort of your living room. A few texts, and you've got a girl coming over to bang you.

Now, for the rest of us, I venture to guess it's gotten harder. Before, you used to compete with the people in the bar with you. That's easy. Now, not only are you competing with everyone in the bar, but you're also competing with all the girls in her cell phone too.

At the end of the day, we're on a trajectory for even more of the girls to be fucking even fewer of the guys. It's not impossible to pick up in clubs, or even 'hard', but you need to have game and know what you're doing or you'll get blown out.

That's about it in a nutshell.

Just an addition to the bolded part above:

Girls are not only told constantly through the mainstream media that they are special snowflakes capable of almost no wrong, but they are also told that 1) they don't need a man (& men are holding them down 24-7 and have done so in the past) and 2) they need to constantly test men, and in effect be cruel/mean to them in order for them to prove their worth - this for women who really aren't capable of being in a monogamous relationship or marriage and thus should not have men 'proving' anything to them!

So it turns into "if you can't handle me at my best you don't deserve me at my worst" kind of attitude and spirals out of control from there for all but the most down-to-earth, level-headed women.

Contrast the above with men, who are never told 'you don't need a women' - quite the opposite in fact. Men are told 24-7 how special women are, how she's the 'one' and 'complete's me', and how we need to be extra respectful of women.

How messed up is that really?

No wonder there is such a toxicity between men and women in the US and Anglosphere in general.

RE: What has changed in the last ten years ?
The gender dynamics and relationships in the west are interesting. Everyone I have talked to recently about this topic agrees, it is broken or about to be broken. No one really likes the way we relate to the opposite sex these days, especially men. However, we hold the power to ignore women and to let them wallow in their own ignorance and incompetence and it seems more guys in my age range (24-35) are doing so. I have more single male friends that refuse to ever marry, let alone date than I have asian art (and I have over 200 paintings). I wonder how much longer we will allow this to go on?

Myself, I tried to go on a meetup with a girl last week and once again all I got was empty vapidness. Not even anything fun or flirty, despite my ability to throw flirts and make her laugh for two hours. I truly, truly do not pity these poor creatures. I fully understand why our ancestors never let them out of sight and kept them shackled. They are just too whimsical, too hypergamous, and too ignorant of their own self to be trusted with even the lowliest of tasks. I can't even believe I am typing this. 2000 years of solid history and evidence proves this. What an interesting world. I can't wait to see 50 years from now. Will we have a matriarchal society, or revert back to patriarchy? In my opinion it could go either way.

RE: What has changed in the last ten years ?
Wasn't in the game until last year but came across this post by Roosh from 2005:
http://www.dcbachelor.com/rejection-progression

DC Bachelor Wrote:HOW GUYS ARE GETTING REJECTED IN 2005
By DCB
Each rejection you get as a man hints to whether your game is improving or not. For instance your game is getting better if you stop getting hit in the face by drunk white girls and instead get hit with fake numbers, though not by much.

Here’s my listing of the most common rejections, in order of worst to best:

-Slap in the face. Nothing says rock-bottom then having to take both emotional and physical pain. Something is seriously wrong with you if there are women out there who feel the best response to your words is violence. You probably need to tone it down a little.

-Stood up. The bad thing about this rejection is that you waste all that time getting ready and driving out to the Panda Express you are treating her at. It doesn’t even matter if you have a magical night planned teaching her how to use chopsticks… you got bitched. This is a result of pushing a little too hard when a girl is unsure of you.

-Fake number. This one stings because you look back at the fantasy world that was your “awesome seduction” and realize it was a sham. Her laughing? Fake. Her supposed interest in you? Fake. It was all fake and you bought it and fantasized about her for the whole weekend. Dick.

-Getting blown out in an approach. You approach a girl in a club and mid-sentence she turns away from you and asks her girlfriend when the hot guys are coming. Or even worse she rejects you on looks alone by turning away right as you open your mouth. Don’t give up hope entirely though… after she has a few more drinks you may be totally back in the game.

-Head-over-shoulder hug. You’re on a date and thinking of going for the kiss, but instead you get a weak-ass hug that makes it physically impossible to kiss her. It’s like she knew you were going to make a move! Unless she’s really conservative, expect her to be busy with washing her hair for the next month.

-No call back. I don’t care how much of a player you are, not every girl will call back. Bottom line is she will call you back if she likes you. Just realize that girls are in a different mind state from when they are giving you their number and from when they listen to your voice message. Sometimes girls call back just as often if you don’t leave a message: an unknown number can make them more curious than your voice and lame jokes ever could.

-The text/email/IM. Instead of not calling you back, a girl will send you a text message, e-mail, or IM with how busy she is with combing through her cat’s hair. One thing technology allows us to do in the 21st century is reject people while avoiding confrontation. Good for them, bad for you.

If you lined up two guys, Persistent Paul and Timid Tim, and told me that Paul got rejected by 100 girls in the past month and Tim got rejected by zero, it would be obvious to me who is getting more play. Though I will admit it’s painful when I see these grimy guys score every now and then with a decent chick because their persistence – and reliable roofie supplier – won’t die.

Seems the same as today, except that antisocial behavior by girls was less common. I have worse rejections a lot of the time. The slap is the only uncommon thing.

Besides social media and women's narcissism and entitlement going up

Sluttiness has become waaaaaaaaaaay more acceptable. I remember two years ago seeing pics of this chick doing coke of her friends tits, I kid you not. 10 years ago a picture like that woulda been suicide now it gets 50 likes

Some may say that's extreme but we live in the "worldstar/tmz" culture were this crap is becoming more and more of the norm for women to act slorish

2000-2004. Women were more clingy back then (could be good or bad). Even attractive college-aged could tend to be a bit clingy very fast if they liked you.

Social media and the proliferation of apps that give even the average women about 50 beta orbiters, has made game more of a requirement in order for a woman to cling to you.

Female clingy-ness is something you probably rarely hear guys complain about today.

^^^True I think this is why guys have this whole think in their head that you have to have "Perfect" game or "10 game" and such. The reality is that no matter how good your game is, how good you fuck her there is always another guy better always. This is why Hypergamy is such a real concept

Agree with almost everything in this thread. Addition: there are a lot more upper 20's sluts who whored around, never developed any relationship skills, and repeatedly fail at trying to lock you (or anybody else) up because all they know is hanging out.

Longterm, I might be out of country by then, but I'm still curious where people think the tides are pointing.

For those who travel a lot - do you think things in Asia and Latin America will become as bad as currently in the West within next 10 years?

Social media and the proliferation of apps that give even the average women about 50 beta orbiters, has made game more of a requirement in order for a woman to cling to you.

Female clingy-ness is something you probably rarely hear guys complain about today.

^^^True I think this is why guys have this whole think in their head that you have to have "Perfect" game or "10 game" and such. The reality is that no matter how good your game is, how good you fuck her there is always another guy better always. This is why Hypergamy is such a real concept

Then how do you deal with hypergamy?

Music was better.

There wasn't so much gay sh1t going on.

Women haven't changed all that much, then again 10 years ago I started going abroad to meet girls, so I never bothered to date home grown anyway. I suggest you just pick a 3rd world place on the map, there are still loads of them, and go there. Wherever the 3rd world is, you are likely to find a lot of good girls. Any place that is experiencing major growth without a solid religious foundation is going to suck and the women will eventually become entitled beotches.

Online dating has gone from weird to socially accepted.

Everyone is wired into social media 24/7.

Girls don't do phone calls anymore. It's all texting.

Peak 90s feminism has experienced a major pushback.

Problems seem bigger because we're more aware of them.

Dating has become more confrontational for both genders.

Good points...what US cities would be best for direct day game?

West Coast?

Las Vegas?

IMO Direct day game flops on East Coast sans NYC area

In Miami w/the East Coast mafia thug vibe, Gateway to Latin America, heavy drinking (alcoholics will love that area just like stoners love NorCal Denver and Seattle), awful traffic, and the hot sun it's easy to get in a fight-two guys I partied with from there one bigger than me 6'6 (not to many that are) and my good friend-bjj black belt, City Champion kick boxer back in the day-once beat two bikers in a bar fight-have BOTH had their noses broke fighting in Miami-they rumble down there and the prisons in Dade County are like the 3rd World. Plus, the bitchs have that Latina diva attitude-so I'm not a fan of Miami. I like Chicago girls attitudes way better-the Atlantica and South suck for me. I do better with Mid-West and West coast girls.

Also10-15 years ago-
you could call a girl and she would be down to chat now they are like wtf if you call after getting a number

I read most beer today is gmo made back n the day not so-I drink a Fosters last night after going out on my way home and it was shit back then it tasted like Alpine Spring water

Back then girls loved to drink and party now the young ones sit around like old people at Starbucks-its sad really..

I took two young girls to the mountains on a ride in the benz and they were taking selfies and posting to facebook non stop-back in the day we would've just enjoyed the experience but now its like-let me show you im cool in a benz on an mountain road. They live by FB which iv'e hear mocked as NSA's wet dream. Theyr'e all silly blind brainwashed sheep IMO aka bred as slaves cradle to the grave via psychological, economic, and social slavery as oppossed to plantations of feudalism.

basically its all big brother now=gmo smartphone/personal gps trackers police state (cops were way cooler to deal with and felt like your neighbor back then now they act like robocop wannabes on federal funds)

Its all slavery in the US-expat if you can.
