I decided to try this out. Sign up, haven't made a profile or anything yet. Answered a few questions the first match that showed up looked like she was 17 and about an 8, said shes moving for travel soon, I'll probably try that one out. THE REST ARE FATTIES. SAD. Reminds me of my days on http://www.nexopia.com/ a site based out of Edmonton (Canada) I would not suggest going there to anyone, but this was back in the day of highschool where all I'd do was study and play videogames, wasn't into partying so I didn't have much of a social life. Got about 5 notches in the time I was on it. I used it mainly for music forums etc. Any girl there will get hundreds of msgs a week, good thing about that is I was able to practice coming up with unique/witty messages.

Anyways, my input on online dating is that theres a 70% chance the girl is batshit insane or there is something wrong with her. Always remember, there's a reason why she's not picking guys up in real life.

Your definitely not tripping. Many DC girls are boring as hell....all the same routine, "Love my job, love pets, would love to go a museum on a first date, my friends dragged me into this", etc....its as if they're satisfied being cookie cutter. Its funny how the cute ones who reply very selectively....they look meh when you see their full body shot...especially in the area.

True, it is kind of a turnoff, but I think the satisfaction of bringing up PUA's/Mystery (because thats probably the only one shes heard of), post-sex would outweigh her fat girl attitude. Nothing like putting people in their place.

I'm using both POF and OKCupid here in Brazil. I prefer to use OKCupid because it makes girls write more about themselves and thus it becomes easier to talk to them, but in where I am right now there aren't more than a dozen active girls, 8 of them bangable. POF has quantity and quality, but the girls don't give me much to work with, and its made even harder because American humor doesn't translate very well into Portuguese.

I borrowed a line from this thread and sent it to a dozen of the hottest girls and got 3 responses back. I sent them in Portuguese, "Are you one of those girls that takes forever to do her hair and makeup, or does it just look that way?" I sent this to them regardless of whether they had any makeup on in their pictures.

Their responses were:

I created a new profile, got some good pics up (again me in exotic locations, with big groups of people having fun and with good looking girls), created waht is hopefully a funny and original profile and instead of me sending out loads of messages I just visited pages of any half decent girls to entice them into looking at my profile and hopefully messaging me. So far it hasn't had a great response, some of the girls I did message replied, not many who I just visited did (maybe like 2).

In my self summary bit instead of typing a big paragraph about me I just put "Here's what the critics have said about me...." and then had stuff like "More sex, drugs and rock n roll than The Rolling Stones - Q Magazine" and "The most handsome man on the website - OKCupid" or "Sex, drugs and insanity aren't for everyone but they work for XXX - Fox News" etc. Just silly stuff, thought it was a bit different and one girl said it was well written and funny but she also said it came across that I thought i was too good to be on the site. quick note. i made my profile in nyc. and fuck me, okcupid is showing me a parade of fuglies.

during my time online before, with my real profile, okcupid sent me a message saying it was determined that i was attractive and they'd be showing me more attractive people like me.

i thought that was bullshit at the time.

but it appears, without that tag, there is an endless supply of uglies put in front of you.

at least that is what it seems like without doing much searching.
