In any event, back to business. Looking forward to Russia next week.

Nomad is real. I daygamed with him the first month he was in Kiev.

The BS flak he's getting is one reason the first line in my signature currently reads:

"Forum members met: 14 (5 not in my rep list for privacy, etc). No longer engaging posters who won't meet. Guys who haven't had a chance are the exception. Why? IMO, guys who meet are more reasonable & less dramatic."

In this case, what do these trolls - that nobody's even met - expect? Audio or video of him fucking the girls? An independent third-party investigation paid by the forum?

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

For first starting out, take a low hour contract (ie 18 hours/week - not the usual 30) along with free accommodation. They may not advertise this on their sites, but they'll let you, especially if you're new, so that you can learn the ropes. Then go to some sites and agencies to get private students to fill the time.

Basically, get free accommodation while teaching as little as possible for that school and as much as possible for private students.

Some good advice there Mr. President but for a neophyte, it might be problematic. Unless he has a sound/solid plan and good bank, I wouldn't go to Russia or ex USSR to teach. Nowhere near enough to live on if you want to eat out or have a few drinks on the weekend. Drinks in clubs like Black Milk are 5 Euro a pop. Your rent alone will new more than 40k if you don't want to live way out across the river.

It's also an ugly city with not much going on which is why every weekend the residents of the city who can afford it head 7 hours south to resort towns in the Altai.

Not to mention many ESL schools' work practices in Russia are not exactly stellar.

By the way, we can always meet up next time you're in Kiev. Oh wait, no one has ever met you, meaning every single story you've ever told can never be confirmed. I could claim to have a hundred different girls buying me shit and begging to suck my dick and it would be more believable than anything you've ever said about game and travel.

So let's get this straight: A nobody that has already had his account suspended (in epic meltdown fashion. also check his posts to rep ratio) with zero in-person credibility is calling a member that has been vetted by numerous other members a liar and a stalker...

Trolls come in all shapes and sizes gentlemen.

You are having a meltdown! Funny shit. You are the one following me around and crying. You couldn't leave it in the Ukraine thread and had to follow me and bring drama to this thread.

You're projecting. I could care less if you or anyone else believes my post. I don't have the same insecurity as you. I am here for my own entertainment, not for some ego trip which you seem to need.

Grant it, you haven't said which post you disagree with. It's pretty apparent, you don't really disagree with my posts but can't get over getting caught lying and now follow me around the forum crying that I need to tell you whom I met.

Thanks for the great advice everyone. Yeah, Novosibirsk sounds like I'd have a really rough time. I have some good friends there though and if I could get a room mate or something, I might be able to make ends meet (barely)

I prefer Siberia because from what I could tell about my last trip to Moscow, girls there are more ruthless, less sweet, city folks who speak Russian as opposed to the traditional type of girls I meet in Siberia.

This is my advice to anyone contemplating relocating their life to Russia any time soon...

Have at least one of the following:

1) Enough money saved to not care what you will earn there.

2) Earn over 200k rubles/month (that's a very healthy private tutor schedule or some kind of governor gig). No, you won't make this at a school.

3) Have a location independent gig that you earn dollars in (or something other than rubles).

Without 1/3 or 2/3 of these locked down, you should be looking at going there for the experience, not to lay down real roots.

I have none of those locked down. I'll be provided an apartment and a 40-50k per month salary

I have two options for cities: Moscow and Vladimir (400 km east of Moscow) ( https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Vladimi...40.4178686 )

I need to decide today. Which one would be better for finding a sweet Russian girl that is marriage worthy? I`m not looking for a poosey paradise as much as I`m looking for a girl to rear children with. Of course, I wouldn`t mind a poosey paradise either.

I have a good job back home and probably won`t be in Russia for more than a year.

So what do you think: Moscow or Vladimir ?
Lermontov 路 2016-07-07 10:30:00 路 #909
I'd personnally go in Moscow. It is one of the biggest cities in the world and you'll find every kind of girls there. The possibilities to meet the right woman are endless. Vladimir is only 350 000 inhabitants but it will be cheaper to live there.

I've been twice in Moscow and like it. I haven't been in Vladimir but I have been in Veliky Novgorod, a city of similar size (about 220 000 inhabitants). I think the opportunities are way better in Moscow.

I have been to Moscow - I just think that the amount of Status girls are so high. The smaller town girls might be more marriage minded and a better fit. My foreign factor might be a bigger benefit there too.

I`ve never been to Vladimir so it`s a total roll of the dice. I`ll make the most of wherever I end up

I guess that is half the problem. I was using tinder a lot. I also had some decent luck at a few bars at night. In Siberia I was meeting girls from schools I was teaching at and through social circle.

My methods certainly affect the type of women I meet, but I don`t believe its location independent. City girls are made of much different stuff, and the concentration of people and availability makes them behave differently.

Concurred, either that or get a specialist occupation that can see you employed in Moscow. A lot of the biggest companies are based out there.

Also watch out for schools and agencies that say you can earn over 100K. Some are certainly around but the likelihood that you will find them are now very low. Private tuition on websites is the best way forward. I worked for a couple of companies over there and altogether I was quite disappointed with them, in regards to pay.

A lot of teachers I knew of in Moscow, ended up leaving because they weren't making enough money. Students were cancelling constantly and it was no longer profitable. Ironically enough if you have a girlfriend in the first place or a long term visa to stay, then you can build a good base of private clients and do very well, but this takes a long time. Those I know who have done that usually have been here for a few years and speak upper intermediate Russian or have a Russian girlfriend who can assist them.

Personally I did teaching english while working on a start up business. Towards the end I was contracted as a location independent consultant but I had to leave eventually. My time there was fantastic, I got to grips with Russian to a level that I was happy with and due to my career, this was a valuable experience.

I think if you are happy to be an English teacher for the prime years of your life, then you can certainly stat that career in Moscow. You will certainly enjoy your time over there but you will probably get a nagging feeling that you are not really reaching your full potential and taking an easy route. If you work on the language you will eventually find your way into a translation role or some sort of editing support role for an agency perhaps like RT news. You can build up a decent income but it will take a while.

Alternatively, working for a company that is linked with your chosen profession, whatever that may be. Would be the ideal route, of course this is a better option for those older men in their 30s, 40s, etc. These are the men who have the strong skill sets needed.

This is probably true worldwide. Networking, word-of-mouth, personal recommendations rather than advertising seems to be the key to building a roster of private students/clients. This can't be accomplished quickly. Understanding the local language and culture is also key. Without that, you can't really understand how to sell to them.

Not long ago, I raised my prices, or rather, I eliminated the cheapest of the packages I was offering. This generated some complaints among existing students. New students aren't batting an eye, though.

You guys who have taught English as a foreign language in Russia, did you have to take some sort of course to be qualified? If so, for how long? Was it expensive? How good does your Russian need to be to teach English?

I taught French language, for a short period of time, years ago in Russia, and did not present any certification. For I obviously was a native speaker, and spoke some quite OK Russian. (I just stated that I had a BA, which incidentally was true but was not checked by the school)
JeanJaq 路 2016-07-09 03:48:00 路 #917
Many Russian Language schools, especially if we are talking about the Province, don't make a big deal about certificates, what they want is real quality and reliability (meaning, you go on time to the classes and you go to the classes at all as agreed :-)) lets put this way: fluctuation rate is quite high lol. Sometimes the manager checks you out for few classes and then it is real deal. A certificate is not a guarantee that you will ever get a good paid teacher job anywhere is Russia, but for sure it elevates your chances in cities like Moscow and St. Peter where there are too many expat teachers available. I heard that a black guy is doing just fine teaching in Novosibirsk without any qualification. On the other hand it is not that easy to survive the life in big towns if you are working as language teacher and earn in RUB. And I don鈥檛 recommend to get sexually involved with your students ("you don鈥檛 shit where you eat"), but maybe it is just me. The question about Vladimir or Moscow: Well, hmm choose Moscow if you a looking only for fun and party (which is right now quite relative because the summer vacations already arrived which means: many hot students left the town either to Southwest Europe (Spain, France, or Italy) or Asia (Thailand, Thailand or Thailand) :-) for 芯虂褌写褘褏 - or even both meaning first to Europe and then to Asia after a short pitstop in Moscow - and those who stayed in Moscow leave the city in the weekend (usually Friday afternoon for coming back Sunday evening or Monday morning) to their dachas. But it looks like the poster is looking for wife material or LTR, so in this case Vladimir is the best option imo. It is also a very beautiful city, a part of the golden ring. Many beautiful old churches in that area, I love their golden tops. Quite family-marriage oriented in my opinion, for sure they have more value than city girls but yes unfortunately, you will find some gold diggers also who would be in Moscow if they just could, but these are real exceptions to the clean majority. You might have a hard time in Vladimir if you are looking for a solid party scene; it is a small town for clubbing standards, but I personally prefer village and province women. I had a GF in Nizhniy Novgorod once, her parents had a dacha close to Vladimir. Her mother was very hot too. Once I went with them to the dacha, the cabin had no shower just an improvised hot tube in an improvised bathroom , so when my GF went for a bath her mom went inside afterwards in order to wash and scrub her back etc. I was very impressed, because my GF was naked, but it seems that this was and is normal between family members. Blush
When my GF finished her bath I went for mine, after few minutes my GF came inside the bathroom and did in me the same what her mom did on her, I was quite impressed with this family tradition. Oh boje, this is getting off topic now, sorry guys.

^This. The school manager or manageress will check the first couple of hours of lessons that you'll be giving at his-her school, being physically present in your class room, then you're approved (or not!) and on your own (usual process for native speakers, I mean).

I would suggest Moscow as a city metro of 20 Million plus it is Russia's NYC and Wash DC combined - center of both political and financial power - which attracts country and provincial girls from all across the expanses of Russia so not all gold digging city sluts... many of the ladies who come to Moscow come for for educational and cultural creative opportunities.

On my biz trip to Moscow I was dumbfounded by the extreme breadth of entrepreneurial opportunities in Moscow branching out to the world... the EU sanctions have crimped these a bit but ironically Russian resources can be sold for market prices and Russian manufacturing has seen a redux.

I would take some MGU Russian for English business people classes - they have reasonable programs from a few weeks, months to an entire year and the benefit understanding the Russian way of teaching as well being openings to Russian business networks and valuable private English learning clients.

All trade with entities outside of Russia are done via Incoterms
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incoterms

Russian entrepreneurs are much less interested in credentials and much more in what you can do for them and to help them manage contracts and business transactions and make lots of money.

Knowledge of English, Russian, Contracts, Incoterms, Microsoft Office Productivity apps competency and some entrepreneurial ambition are the basics - Moscow is the garden whereby they may flourish.

The most desirable Russian ladies are attracted to men with the most potential.

Moscow is the City of Opportunity where your potential may grow and prosper.

To be 30 again and a Red Pill neomasculine man in Moscow.

I agree with you, the sanctions were a big shot in the foot for USA and EU. And a real bless for local farmers & producers (once ignored by their own population, now they are - 褕邪谐 蟹邪 褕邪谐芯屑 - showing their unleashed potential). Russia is the largest country on the planet, if they cant produce enough 锌懈褌邪薪懈械 for themselves, who can?! In my first trip some years ago I was shocked, the western products were so overrated, and in cities like Moscow and Peter waaay more expensive than in their own manufacturing countries, I know the transport costs are high etc. but come on now, something was wrong. It was usual to see Russian women flying to NYC or Paris to buy some cheaper cloths (the same that they could buy in Moscow), even considering the flight, this was a good option that time. But well, this before the fabricated devaluation of the RUB.

Yes, and it doesn't really matter if the girl is rich or poor, they all expect you to pay for dates. The main difference is that rich girls prefer to go to Posh places, while province girls are modest (meaning they are glad to go with you to any place). One more reason why I prefer province girls.
