I ve said this before, ATL is the best kept secret in NA. The city has a lot of energy, fine women (with sexy southern accents), great nightlife, good food, great music scene etc. Good scene for upscale or college types. It has solid sophisticated venues (mostly midtown if remember correctly) with sexy professional women. I use to go to ATL quite a bit in my college days. Lots of fine ass, easy college girls in buckhead. Swag is on point about the strip clubs too. Some of the best in NA. Only place I ve consistently picked up strippers. ATL baby....Georgia, always on my mind as they say.

You summed up ATL in a nutshell bruh!...Most people who aren't Black sleep on ATL because of the perception that it's a "Black" city but It's popping out here and you can get it in with a diverse crowd and all races every day of the week...

Tonight I will hit The Gold Room in Buckhead with a nice little mamcita (Guatemalan/Belizean/Colombian) that just moved here from LA (sometimes I like taking a little sand to the beach). The spot is extremely FLY but I only really like the music on Thursday (Hip-Hop Night) and "Special Event" nights, Friday is Asian Night which is decent & Saturday is douchebags up to high heaven but If you can deal with that you can pull a few nice ones here and there but the music is TERRIBLE on Saturday Night.

Also The "Black Hollwood" moniker is because Actors/Entertainers party out here all the time because alot of the recording industry and film industry (especially African-American themed tv shows/movies/film) are based out here so that's why you see alot of performing artists in and out of ATL and of course at the clubs enjoying the life.

i have always sleep on ATL mainly due to the perception of it being "mainly black" as I am not attracted to most black females. But there is other stuff to offer in other departments as well.

the latin community in ATL would blow out my average all american city. lol

Chanterelles's in the West End is still going strong!

Yeah people fail to realize that It's a little bit of everything out here in Atlanta. Even sometimes when I talk to some older white people on the plane when I tell them I live in Atlanta they have this weird look like it's still segregated down here or something. When I first moved here back in 1998 It was definitely mostly a White/Black Metro area but now It's much more diverse with Asians and Latinos moving here and It's continuing to grow which is a win win in my situation.

I had a short stint in Atlanta in the mid 90s. It thought it was "ok" at the time but couldn't see myself staying there for good so I left. It's probably a lot different now.

ATL has loads of sexy women. It may have the perception of being a 'black' town, but it has loads hot blondes with Georgian hospitality at its finest. And though you may not be into black girls, there will likely be one or two that you will want to take on a ride.

ATL...can barely remember all the names...Lisa, Heidi, Victoria...some great hospitality down there if you know what I mean, son.

Haha, Dash. ATL is definitely not as segregated as it once was but even if you don't like Black chicks just go up to Alpharetta, Kennesaw, Cobb County, and Gwinnett and you can find plenty of other chicks. Midtown has a good set as does Virginia Highlands. Hey, even in Decatur you have the educated Emory crowd.

And for the Hipster crowd check out East Atlanta Village, Little Five Points, Grant Park and Poncey Highland. Atlanta has it all I'm tellin ya!

The Emory University & Agnes Scott ladies are very "educated brotha" friendly...guess since its a liberal arts school they tend to lean that way. You can catch them at bars in Virginia Highlands & the aforementioned spots or chillin in quaint Downtown Decatur or Druid Hills/Toco Hills for the most part.

To keep tabs on the rock/indie/hipster/arts scene in Atlanta you have to pick up this free magazine called Creative Loafing. You can find it all over Intown Atlanta (ITP) and check events online. They have the whole rock/jazz/blues/indie/hipster/arts scene covered and I really enjoy their pieces and perspective. http://clatl.com/

Here is a listing of some of the more popular places that I frequent sometimes that are great for the rock/indie/hipster/arts crowd scene and more low key that the mainstream places most people go to in Atlanta.

I frequent a lot of the hipster spots around little five and midtown, MJQ in particular. It's cool for the first few hours but at around 1 it gets incredibly hot and crowded. Couple that with cigarette smoke so thick that it burns the hell out of your eyes around all that body heat, the party comes to an end pretty quickly. Oh well. At least you can actually see the inside of the bathrooms now.
The Masquerade is another cool place if you're down with the hipster crowd and you don't mind hang around a few goths here and there. Everyone is super friendly and the girls are usually pretty warm there and the place has two rooms, one hip hop and one 80s music.

Humm..I've been wanting to bang a gothic chic for a while now, especially the vampire looking ones. I checked this place out on yelp, and most reviews were pretty negative. One cat even said that security guards are skinheads (and we all know what that means). The second gripe was that all events are all ages, so you see immature brats causing trouble.

well for the concerts its usually all ages, but on thursdays they have oldwave/bootylicious and that's 18+.
I'd also like to mention I'm black, and when i went there everyone was a lot more friendly than I thought. I knocked over this dudes beer one time and OFFERED to buy him another one and he refused, said it was fine and not to worry, patted me on the back and walked away.

I've never been there but it looks like it caters to a more goth/punk crowd.

I visited Atlanta to hang with some college friends this thanksgiving, and WOW, I gotta say, I came across the single best bar I have seen in the USA so far:

Let me explain:
--- no line
--- lots of girls, with very few guys hitting on them
--- drink prices are reasonable
--- music isnt loud enough to overpower a conversation.

And when we went, my friend told me that we were there on a slow night. Damn

Well im not real familiar with alot of those type venues but anyone can find them with ease. I usually hit up concerts at the Brewery in Raleigh NC. I remb hearing about the Masquerade in ATL when a band I like was playing there. Was contemplating making the 5 hour drive.

All you do to find out where to find these chicks is google the bands that they like (pop/punk/rock) and see where they are going to play concerts at.

I have a feeling most of US black men dont really like dark skin women, nearly all the US black cats i have rolled with never really liked dark skin women, i think that will be a winning situation for me, i love the dark skin women, yo i cant wait to fly to Atlanta, i am destroying this city.

@Dash-I used to live in Garner. That rides more like 6.5 hours to d/t ATL, and a shitty one at that. I'd rather fly.

I've ran through parts of ATL and it was alright. I prefer to stay outside the beltline though. Due to the inflated housing a lot of girls live out even as far as Winder. Typically girls will rotate weekends to party. 1 in d/t and the other where they live. The bars in the outlying areas are small and have no competition. Guys are dressed in Affliction tee's or their Sunday's best realtree camo from Walmart. I walk in wearing nice jeans, urban boots, peacoat w/ scarf and the girls stare. Stepping in dressed to the 9's? Fuck. The talent is mostly the same w/out the bitch shields, prices, traffic, cops, and competition. And Athens? Don't even get me started.

ATL is a great fucking city to party in. Beautiful women of all colors and nationalities. People are generally very freindly.

I like black women so it was great for me. I just went to the universites and chatted up some fine sisters. The first girl I approached, I kiss closed. It was so easy. I just said "Hi".."How are you?"...blah blah blah...then i said..."Do the sistas out here date whiteboys"...she giggled and say "oh yes".."its very open out here"...i said.."lets hang out sometime"...she said ok and gave me her number...then i just leaned in and started kissing her. That was my first 5 mins at some college near Peachtree. And the nightlife scence down there was very good and east to manuver

Places like this are so much better then the big cosmopolitian places like NY, LA, Miami

If you guys went to places like ATL, Austin (TX), Athens (GA), Norman (OK) Chicago, and Minneapolis. There would be alot less complaining about American girls.

These smaller, more country type places have girls that are just a hot and was easier to talk to, in general.

ATL's metro area is really effin spread out. I know because I make that nocturnal migration from the outer burbs to the inner perimeter about 2-3 times a week. Because driving is such a necessity, here it creates quite a dilemma for those who drink heavy then have to return to their suburban homes that can be some 15-25 (or more) miles from the city center. Public trans is non-existent between 1am and 5pm (wtf?!).
