This is my second go round, I married one like her when I was 34, it lasted 24 years and I had no complaints up until the last year, mileage will vary, but they are out there. As a guy in the same age bracket as Clooney, hats off to him. If he wants to take a break he's made a good choice and he is probably lawyered up the ying yang anyway. From her CV, she's genuinely interested in the same stuff as him and has the type of slim and trim build that holds up well.

I found myslef looking at one like this myself last night, no beauty queen, about a Tomboy 6.5 without makeup, slim and had a kind of joy of life vibe coming off her. If I was going to pull a Clooney again, that's what I'd do, hook up with a naturally slim 6-7 who's already into the same stuff as me, hide assets and ride it out...

Al Pacino should be the new forum mascot. He was always cooler than Clooney. Hell he is the greatest actor of all time for a start.

In a lot of movies - Clooney seems to enjoy dressing down and looking like a slob (eg his Coen brother films).

I suspect he doesn't enjoy dressing in suits and attending premieres. His biggest passion seems to be human rights abuses in Africa - and it is hard to look good when you are over there.

The same is true of the guy who plays Don Draper - he also enjoys dressing down when he is off camera.

So - I suspect that image a lot of us have of Clooney - does not fit the reality as per how he enjoys spending his free time.

I am still surprised he is engaged. But from the cardigan and greying hair in the photo - it suggests he may be wanting to settle down and become a bit of a schlub. These guys are smart enough to know that there are more important things in life than trying to have your 'A Game' on 24/7.
