Good post, speakeasy, many fair points raised. I should have said that Obama is clearly 'African-American' to be more accurate. I meant Black as used in the American context, not pure blooded Black African.

No real interest in continuing to debate this topic though, since there isn't really a right answer. It's just something that matters to you or it doesn't. My main problem was simply the fact that the article posted was clearly pro-race mixing propaganda and I wanted to point out that fact since apparently many people didn't notice that. But if people disagree with my views on this topic (and I know many obviously do) I understand and it doesn't bother me.

Those countries become racially ambiguous the more south you go.

Southern Egypt, Libya, Algeria all have pretty dark curly haired people in the south.

People in the North of those countries look more Italian/Med.

I've noticed there has been a lot of race threads recently, I don't know if it's the long winters up north.

Anyway, I just wanted to clear up that Obama thing about him not looking black. That Southern Sudanese cat is one of the darkest cats you get in Africa plus coupled with sun on his skin.

^^^ Moma, that broad is Nigerian. They don't look like the people of central east Africa like S. Sudan(where that soldier I posted is from) or their neighbor Kenya that Obama's dad is from. Blacks from that central eastern part of Africa are some of the darkest in the continent and Obama's dad was black as the ace of spades.



I think compared to his dad, it's obvious how genetically white-washed he is.

Speakeasy, I just wanted to make the point that Africa has a diversity of looks. A lot of African Americans think that they will go to Africa and stick out because of features..bollocks. The only thing that will make you stick out is culture and behaviour.

I have a very good friend from Kenya that is brown skinned and even I'm ignorant about the range of looks in Africa. I was introduced to him by culture and country prior to meeting him in person and thought I was about to meet a Moses Kiptanui looking muthafcuka (see below).



I told him this a few months down the line and he laughed uproariously and he thought that I would look like this (see below).

There are a lot of Arabs from the Middle East plus other Europeans, Indians who have mixed with the locals in East Africa..Kenya being a bit of a melting pot..resulting in a particular look. This look is embraced by culture and they all consider themselves African, even though the skin tone and features may well be 'diluted'.

I'm at a loss. My understanding of the reproductive process as far as humanity is concerned was that when you created a child, you contributed to half of its genetic makeup. The DNA you are passing to that child is yours; you got that DNA from your ancestors. Therefore, your child is genetically linked to your ancestors by definition, as are any descendants of that child.

I feel there's no logical way around this reality, but some here seem to think otherwise. Thus, I have to ask: how precisely does the act of interracial procreation result in the complete severance of genetic ties with one's ancestors?
