18 Ugly Truths About Modern Dating
Going through the piece, I started to suspect a female write, but it ended up being a guy. That was a little disappointing based on how he shamelessly referred to the reality that most relationships end in break ups as terrifying.
Looking at this made me realize that it's highly plausible that many 'redpill enlightenments' may actually be a presentation of cynicism coming from exacerbating factors.

Quote:
1. The person who cares less has all the power. Nobody wants to be the one who’s more interested.
2. Because we want to show how cavalier and blasé we can be to the other person, little psychological games like ‘Intentionally Take Hours Or Days To Text Back’ will happen. They aren’t fun.
3. A person being carefree because they have zero interest in you looks exactly like a person being carefree because they think you’re amazing & are making a conscious effort to play it cool. Good luck deciphering between the two.
5. Set plans are dead. People have options and up-to-the-minute updates on their friends (or other potential romantic interests) whereabouts thanks to texts & social media. If you aren’t the top priority, your invitation to spend time will be given a “Maybe” or “I’ll let you know” and the deciding factor(s) will be if that person has offers more fun/interesting than you on the table.
6. Someone who hurt you isn’t automatically going to have bad karma. At least not in the immediate future. I know it only seems fair, but sometimes people cheat and betray and move on happily while the person they left is in shambles.
7. The only difference between your actions being romantic and creepy is how attractive the other person finds you. That’s it, that’s all.
12. Social media creates new temptations and opportunities to cheat. The private messaging and options for subtle flirtation (e.g. liking of pictures) aren’t an excuse or validation for cheating, but they certainly increase the chances of it happening.
13. Social media can also create the illusion of having options, which leads to people looking at Facebook as an attractive people menu instead of a means of keeping contact with friends & family.
16. When dating, instead of expressing how they feel directly to you, a person is more likely to post a Facebook status or Instagram a Tumblr-esque photo of a sunset with a quote or song lyric of someone else’s words on it, and while it may not mention your name, it’s blatantly directed at you.
Number six is particularly infantile. Such a bitter fuck

Except he's wrong. It's how attractive the other person finds you, plus whateverthefuck her stupid friends say.
I think that whatever a girls friends say affect how they feel about you. I think if a girl actually finds you very attractive, that she'll find a way to see you without her friends knowing. Is that not right?
I'll just give an example off the top of my head. The girl likes you, she's attracted to you, things are good, you're texting her for a couple days with funny jokes.
Her bitter ass friend knows you because you banged some person 2 or 3 places removed.
When the girl is sharing the texts you've sent, the bitter friend tries to reframe them into something else that's "creepy".
There could be 100s of reasons why the friend is against you, this is just one obviously. But my point is that women rarely think on their own. They are constantly asking their friends opinions to help them decided how they think of something.
If you haven't had the time to properly assert attraction, and some bitch friend sees your photo and decides to make fun of the cut of your jib or whatever, it can be over before it ever started.
We were meant for far more than to suffer in our self created prisons only to die alone. It doesn't have to be that way. It never did.

^^
There are times when the friend will not let you get a good word in, their sole purpose is to see you crash and burn, no amount of friendliness to the hen can change this. Maybe there's someone twice removed between you two, maybe she likes you and wants the friend out of the picture, maybe she wants to sabotage the friend because she doesn't get attention like her. This is why isolation and escalation are so important. All your work will be for nothing if mama hen has it in for you.
I don't do social circle/college friend type game but i would not bother gaming her friends beyond a little bit in the beginning. It's like marrying 'the whole family'. You want the girl but you have to decide how much headache she's worth. Some girls have cool friends, many have drama time bombs as friends. I don't have the energy to be a diplomat. I'd rather go for what i want while wasting as little time/energy on validating some hen. Night game is fraught with herds, day game though...
From my experience, American girls are blind pack animals and love to 'pull the crab in the bucket' move: ' we gotta go, you're not her type, she has a bf, its girls night out'. European girls are willing to let their friend go if she likes the guy. They trust her to go for what she wants. American girls think they're freelance matchmakers when they're really homewreckers in training. I rarely bother getting #s from american girls as i have the inquisition screening me. I'll meet them earlier alone and feel an ons at best. They will inevitably get bored of you anyway, no sense connecting with that.

I knew she was over reacting and that I hadn't done anything wrong, but again this is a girl I was exclusive with and really cared about. We don't talk for a day, then, trying to be nice, I tell her I'll apologize to her friend for making her uncomfortable.
I saw my girl that night and I could tell it was over. We break up a few days later.
Apologizing for something like that is a huge fuck up on my part obviously. But back then I didn't realize that you had to game her friends too. I thought it was ok to game the girl, get her, then you can be nice.
Yeah, you made a mistake in saying you would apologize. To be a man is to stand for your principles and beliefs. Women are attracted to that, but will also test you on it to see how strong you are.
You caved in saying you would apologize for something you didn't believe you should have and so she lost respect for you as a man.
Without knowing what you said that was offensive it's hard to say how could've explicitly handled it, but for sure you should have stuck to your principles, explained them and perhaps say something to your girlfriend like, "I'm really dissapointed in you that you would side with your friend over me."

Pretty much. I won't be making that mistake again. Apologizing to women gets you nowhere.
My parents have been married 25 years, been together for over 30 total, and I don't think my dad has ever apologized to my mom. Even when she has a legitimate reason to flip out ("WTF you're going away for 2 months and leaving me alone with the kids????") he just lets her freak out and does what he wants anyway. Now I know why he does that.

RE: 18 Ugly Truths About Modern Dating
Instead of men dictating the game and making sure that women adhere to the rules of the game to get along or be subjected to solitary lives with dry, unfetttered pussies to go along with the other pussies in their lives, a whole industry has been created for guys to make money off purporting to teach other guys how to play the game they allowed to be taken over.
Now men are rushing to figure out how to be insulting to chicks they want to fuck, how to "appropriately" respond to meaningless text banter, how to "control" flaking, and how to look like cheap, broke fucks when out in the company of women regardless of interest and/or attraction level.
That's fine, but I blame the men. They can complain all day about this shit, but they let it happen, remember that the next time you look over at that fat bitch next to you on your couch, telling you at 5 P.M. that there won't be any pussy later on tonight because she's tired from her stressful job at Insert Think Tank organization while she uses her IPAD to post pictures of her new replica Celine bag that her friends think is real because they're too broke to have a real Celine bag to be able tell the difference.
