Posted this in another thread, but its relevant here as well.
Jun N Dell Apartelle in Davao Philippines. Cost me $414 USD, included daily maid service, internet, power, everything was included. Had hot water and air con. I thought it was a good location, others on here seem to disagree. I could walk to the biggest mall at the time and to some food shops pretty close by.




I broke that bed a lot....

Could someone comment on the air quality in the large shopping malls. I could not find any such information when conducting a Google search.

I would assume that the large malls have air filters or air scrubbers of some type, but I suppose that I should not assume anything in regard to the Philippines. Is the air quality noticeably better in large malls located in heavily polluted areas?

I wouldn't be surprised if over 100 RVF members have stayed in Jun N Dells by now. RVF members should be getting a discount and roosh getting a commission. Not a bad place to stay (but my room had a cock roach problem)

My question was not meant to be a rhetorical question. But I seriously want to know the basis of assumption that $1000 won't be enough in Quezon City. The cost of living varies even within most cities. Like in NYC, the amount of rent for one month in Manhattan can pay for three months in Queens. I assume it's the same with Manila, with Makati and the Fort being their Manhattan and Quezon City being their Queens.

I've never been to Manila, but since NYC is one of the richest, most developed cities in the world you can get 1/3 of the price in Queens and only sacrifice commute time, whereas in Manila you can get a 1/3 of the price outside of Makati/Fort but you are probably sacrificing safety, and living conditions as well.

This is just speculation on my part though.

You will get annoyed commuting from QC to Makati/BGC. A jammed packed MRT at peak time isn't the most comfortable! Taxi cost will be 175,000php+ which all adds, especially as you have said you're on a budget. You have to remember also that Makati is the CBD. Tons of girl commute each day to Makati from all over the Metro. It's effective to meet these girls after work and an area they are going to be familiar with.

There are university campuses in QC, which makes it pretty cool. In terms of land area, QC is massive, so there are going to be good and bad areas.

I'm trying to plan accommodations right now, arriving in Manila in about 6 weeks, and I feel paralyzed. I have about 7-9 months that I can spend traveling and I don't know how to go about doing it. Do I rent long term in Manila and travel to other islands? Would it be better to be long term in a place like Davao/Dumaguete and travel around from there?

I don't need to remote in for work or anything and will just be doing self-study most of the time. Would like visit beaches and scenic things, and have the best access to girls of course.

I've thought about renting a condo sight unseen via Sulit. They have many that you can rent by the night or just a month, but I'll be flying into Manila around 9pm and I think the only reliable, guaranteed accommodations for the fist night are a hotel. I've thought about doing AirBnb also, but I've never done that before so not sure anyone will rent to a person with no reviews.

Gramercy has rentals by the month via Sulit and the building looks great, but I worry about logistics to the malls since it seems to be a 20 min walk (google maps) away. Maybe taxis alleviate this issue?

I've read through all the material in this thread and many others so I should have all the info I need, but yet sitting here at my desk thousands of miles away I feel paralyzed.

You have century city mall right next to it. Ok, it's not massive but there is a supermarket on the bottom floor and some cool restaurants. You have Gramercy 71, a cool lounge bar. Time Nightclub is a 5 minute walk away. Admittedly, you are 20 minutes walk to Rockwell Power Plant and 25 minutes to Greenbelt. Personally, I think nothing of this because I enjoy walking round the hustle and bustle of Manila (save being covered in a blog smog of jeepney exhaust fumes). You can hail taxis, of course. It's a busy lively area.

The biggest reason I don't like this area as it is near P.Burgos. For the same reasons I'm not a fan of Malate/Ermita.

Gramercy is nice but don't underestimate logistics. If you are meeting most of your dates at Greenbelt/Glorietta. The ability to walk out of the mall and be within 5 minutes of your place is advantageous.

I've been in Cebu City for a week, and will stay here until August 3. I'm just wondering if there's any other forum poster currently here who'd like to meet and compare notes?

I should confess that I'm no game expert, and I have not been getting anything close to the kind of success others here have reported getting in the Philippines. In my week here, I've gotten one lover in Cebu from online game (cute and less than half my age), but no other real interest from girls. Perhaps because I'm old (mid-40's) and ugly, my day game has only gotten rejections so far. I'm getting some attention online, but I have difficulty getting girls to meet. I'd love to hear from guys who are having better luck than me, though I'm also very open to chatting with those who aren't. Thank you.

In all seriousness though, I think the reason you feel overwhelmed is because there is no "correct" answer. For things like whether to stay in one place or move around, which city or cities, and anything of this nature, I don't think there is a right answer. Or that one option will necessarily be better than another one. Especially a priori. Each option will give you something that another won't. I'm sure things will be a lot clearer once you are on the ground. No need to micro manage plans/dates/locations. You will probably change your mind once you get there anyway. Sounds like you have a great time ahead of you.

I feel like this kind of trip is supposed to relieve me of the finitude that's my current life, but how can it when I have to make choices that limits me from having it ALL!!??

Sure will. My plan of staying will be much simpler than most of you:
- Find a place on AirBnB for the first few days to scout out places in Quezon City near the mall
- Rent a secured condo in a decent area of QC near near the mall for $300-$400
- Do mostly online game
- Also do some day game in this local mall
- Get work done
- Meet girls, go home, bang

I doubt I will venture to Makati that often or at all. I will be hanging around the coffee shop in the local mall all day getting work done, then meet girls at the same mall at night. You may think that's kind of a pathetic lifestyle in the PH, but I really don't care about exploring this city or its nightlife. Just want to get work done, bang girls, while keeping cost low!


Is the Fall a bad time to be in PH due to the rain? I would hate to be cockblocked by the rain. Seems that the first half of the year is the better time to go.

I have very similar ideas and budget to you Hamster, I just think Davao is a better option for this. Cleaner air, can go to the beach now and then, and still plenty of dating options.

I have spend dozens of hours trolling FC and there is literally no end of very cute girls in Cebu. I think more turn 18 every day than I can message every day. It seems to really vary which ones answer me.

Sometimes super cute girls are ready to bang and other times mediocre ones ignore me. But as Uncle Roosh has said all game is numbers game.

I've spent a week or two in both Davao and Cebu, and cumulatively quite a few weeks in Manila.

After all the subjective opinions on which girls are more beautiful, conservative, available, etc, etc, I think that it all averages out that they are about the same.

The big "elephant in the room" that really sums it up is to compare the populations of the 3 cities. That will give you the most significant answer.

In terms of attractiveness, sure.

But the girls in Manila are less conservative, speak better English, and are more open to white guys/foreigners than the girls in Davao. I don't see how that's even debatable.

From an online perspective, it's not close. Manila blows Davao out of the water.

But Cebu, for me, was easy mode just like Manila, and in fact, logistics were better as traffic wasn't bad. You could actually move around. I didn't find girls to be so conservative in Cebu at all, and I liked the way that many of them looked better than the ones in Manila. Of course there is crossover as many in both cities came from somewhere else, but that Visayan look, to me, was preferable to the plumper Luzon look more common in Manila girls. Manila wins just on quantity, of course.
