To answer the questions about LIV.

Located at times square. Google map leads to a slum nearby if you look for liv cebu , keep in mind.

Pretty decent club, but nothing special. Thai style layout with tables everywhere and a very small dance floor. Not a good setup for picking up girls.

Higher end crowd, mostly locals, ratio not good, more than 50% dudes, or maybe I was unlucky on Friday night.

Actually some young foreigners there too, but nothing compared to mango square. Mango square, btw, is utter shit.

Didn't see anybody suited up at liv, I wasn't either. One philippino guy had a leather jacket on, seemed more appropriate for the place. Some t shirts, v necks, polos, dress shirts. I wore a nice shirt which was about right for the venue.

Didn't see a lot of single girls, mostly mixed groups.

There's another club called hyper rooftop bar, a misleading name because it's just a regular big box. I went there around midnight last night, left quickly because wanted to check out Liv. Might go back there tonight.

The good thing about clubs and bars here is that drinks are cheap as fuck. 100 pesos beer, 150 screwdriver even at Liv. Cover fee is negligible and includes a drink voucher.

I mean in Jakarta you'll pay 15 bucks for a shitty cocktail or like 10 for water at dragonfly. I'd still rather go clubbing in Jakarta than here.

There's a relatively high number of expats, much older crowd though. Not a place to run up really big numbers, but it's a nice town. Very nice in fact. For me though, there just wasn't a very good social scene for a younger guy. Barely anyone to hang out with. If I were 50+ I'd feel more comfortable there for sure.

Never been to Bacolod but might be interesting. Same island as Dumaguete. Less foreigners there I expect.

^Small sample size in Cebu to judge, only went to clubs two nights here.

You'll find a lot more beautiful girls in jkt or even Manila than here. In clubs or elsewhere.

As for ease of pulling from clubs, this is SEA. If you put in approaches, something will stick eventually. Whether or not you will regret next morning is a different question.

Ratios are shit even in popular clubs in Jakarta. The secret is already out. I mean, every schmuck can Google this thread and buy a ticket.

The most beautiful girls here are Koreans. There's no contest. The attractive ones look better than some of the local models. As mentioned by other posters, they are always accompanied by guys, the biggest cockblockers in the world. If they were alone, they'd probably be approached several times a day by washed up western men.

2nd floor clubs were mostly awesome. There's not much distinguishment between them, which is why I didn't bother doing a venue-by-venue breakdown. I had most luck at The Beat and Passion. Everyone who goes to Mango should hit every club in 1 night and just bounce between em, there's no way you can't pull a 7 after enough rounds.

Daygame was hard in Cebu for some reason. The streets generally just suck and i was never in the mood, and not as much eye-fucking as Makati. Never ran into hookers at Ayala for some reason. Maybe try (the insanely crowded) Colon st, supposedly it's easy to get #s from girls there, but i was always with friends.

Girls off FC, dia and tinder are very flakey here. They are always late. One was 6 hrs late. They agree to dates but not show up or even bother to text you in advance. Their phones always either lose Internet connection or run out of credit or juice.

To put it in perspective, American girls are many times better when it comes to planning the first date. If they flake, most of them will text you and let you know. If they are late, it's usually minutes not hours. At least, that's been my experience where I live. Guys with more experience in both the US and phils, feel free to tell me if I'm wrong.

In all my time here I've actually never had a girl just not show up without saying so. I've never had a girl cancel last minute. I've had a number flake the day before or earlier in the day off though.

However, girls are always late here. I'm waiting on one right now. But can we blame them? The traffic is fucking insane in the Philippines. It took me 45 minutes yesterday to go 3km.

On motorbikes and logistics, I respectfully disagree with Cyclone. Taxis are cheap and easy to get. Traffic is shit, but this can be solved by staying central. I'm right next to Ayala mall which is great for dates with plenty of bars and restaurants. It doesn't close at 9 either. Some places are open till 11pm, maybe even later. So, as a short term visitor I would recommend this location, same as near makati Greenbelt in Manila. The closer to mall the better.

If you decide to get a bike, make sure you know the risks. I rode a motorbike drunk from clubs in Thailand which was plain stupid in retrospect. Luckily, no injuries. Even the you don't drink, an air conditioned taxi is way better than bike.

This was my 7th trip to Manila and stayed in Mandaluyong which is like center of Manila and has easiest access to all places around for girls to come in to my condo.

As mentioned. Women are never the problem in Philippines. Its the corruption, traffic, pollution, crime etc is. Your main battle will be forces of nature, & corrupt men never a women.

1. Traffic in Manila has become horrendous. I repeat it has become a nightmare to travel in Manila. If you are staying long term and renting a condo. Only stay around EDSA main road.

The avg. travel time from Point A To Point B has jumped to over 2 hours now. It takes forever to meet a girl or make her come to your condo during peak hours. There has been endless debates on how to decongest manila traffic with no end in sight. The problem will get worse as X'Mas and New years comes.

2. My suggestion for Condo is BSA Twin Towers Condo near SM Mega Mall. It is closer to one of the biggest malls in the world. Literally few steps away. You can get anything in Mega Mall. Has an Awesome IMAX theater Plus endless Buffet and other eating options, also its near EDSA, MRT - getting a Taxi and for girls to find your place would not be a problem. Taxi drivers have become very choosy, so unless you go to a known destination you will have to wait.

If you are staying in Makati Near Burgos, say good bye to Taxis during X mas Season, Its nearly impossible to get taxis in Makati in less than 30 to 40 minutes time.

I have searched over 100 condos and BSA Twin Towers, GA Tower, Light Residences are the best option, they all are in Mandaluyong. Mandaluyong is the center of manila and its easier to go from here to any place.

3. Since, I have lots of stamps. The immigration officers are getting itchy and asking all sorts of useless questions. They all suspect me as a sex tourist or a illegal worker. During this trip, I was asked about 20 to 30 questions and made to show my hotel reservation, my return ticket was checked. I was questioned for over 20 minutes while the others waited in line.

TIP: As soon as you get off the plane. Walk SLOW and look for the counter which moves faster. When you reach the immigration, you will see 7-8 counters and people lining up. Just WALK SLOW and look for a line which is moving the fastest and then get in line . I did this during all my trips but this time, just did not consider it and paid the price. You need a good immigration officer to be on the safe side when you have so many stamps.

Thumb Rule: Go to the counter with YOUNG MALE Immigration officer. Women Immigration Officers are Bitchy and HATE SINGLE MALE TOURIST TRAVELLING ALONE. Never consider women immigration officer in Philippines, all have become too suspicious.

Also, No matter what happens. NEVER EVER be angry, be sensible...SMILE and give BS replies to all their questions with a Smile ...We all know how Philippines judiciary is....There are only losers in court system and in prison. You loose your pride and ego in immigration and you WIN it all once outside

4. We know Internet Sucks in Philippines and it still sucks as I have been coming to Philippines for over 10 years now. So, if you plan on working from home deal it would be hard. Best Option is to go to Co Working Space. There is also Pocket Wifi option which seems to work fine for checking mails and web surfing etc but not for online work.

There are Co-Working Space in Manila where you can go everyday and get fast internet. I used Co.Lab in Mandaluyong. All Co Working Space have super fast internet connection plus free coffee, they will also bring food, if you need and have a good working vibe over all with many Filipinos, expats working along side you.

5. I would rather avoid December time as all OFW from all over the world come to Manila Plus How Filipinos celebrate New Year went quite viral last year so expect many more tourist to come this year. 6. Seriously, I never had any problems with women in Philippines. Its the taxis, internet, condos, traffic, pollution, food are the major problem which made my stay unpleasant. I would suggest those who are preparing dedicate 60 to 70% of their time on force of nature than women.

Women are very respectful in Philippines and respect men like anything, your wish is like their command, they are up for almost anything. They rarely complain. some pester for money but most are good if you can weed out the diggers.

Had a second date with the model. Perfect logistics, pre drink at my place before going to dinner.

Well it's been said, legit 8's and 9's are usually out of reach unless you're already pulling that quality back home. At least for short trips. If you're an in-shape, long-term, ex-pat with healthy finances it's a different story.

Roccker ... Re phones ...

Bring an unlocked phone. I strongly recommend a 4G LTE capable one if you want to use it for data.
The difference here between 3G and LTE is dramatic.
The LTE is well short of the 42 Gbps bs claims but still quite good in most places.

When you exit the immigration at the airport you will see kiosks selling sim cards and load (credit), as they call it here. These kiosks are legit and not inflated prices.
Get the girl at the kiosk to set your phone up and show it working before you leave there.

The sims for LTE cost more, but the ongoing usage charges per Mb are the same as 3G (or 2G).

You can buy "scratchy" cards everywhere for adding load onto your sim.
Go with Globe or Smart. The 3rd smaller player is Sun, but it is owned by Smart anyway.

Where I am, around Makati, I find that the phone with LTE, set up as a wifi hotspot provides my laptop internet connection as well.
