Some guys are motivated enough by these kinds of feelings to take massive action. Some aren't. I think you'll regret it if you don't take massive action and change your life. The good news is that when you try, any improvement or indeed any action will trigger a dopamine hit and you'll be happier than just sitting on the sidelines. If you think you can't get those women then make trying and failing the goal.

I wrote a recent post on failure. Banging the girl may seem unattainable now, so just start small and work your way up. Make five minutes conversation. Ask for the time.

If you make failure an acceptable outcome, you'll train yourself to approach and try anyway. Do that enough and eventually you'll stop failing.

Right now you're in a failure cycle. "I want to approach, I can't, I didn't..." fail fail fail - lower the bar so you can start counting your attempts as a victory and train your mind to seek small victories.

I have the complete opposite reaction. When I see a truly stunning woman it makes my day better. I hate saying shit like that because it makes me sound like fucking Drake, but it's the truth. Seeing a woman that causes that weird feeling in my gut makes me feel good about little things, like what's available out there, the fact that I can still feel something like that after all the bullshit I've experienced with women, the fact that I even have vision to see any kind of beauty, knowing that if I go for it I can have that or something like it, appreciating little things like that. My answer to the OP's question is: no, and never will.

A woman's looks are just the ticket into my arena, but if she wants to get on the field, she has to have a lot more to offer to me than just how she looks.

You have to reframe how you view yourself and the world around you.

You are what they should be aspiring for, not the other way around.

You'll get there when you realize what it is exactly that you can do to add value to her life. You're a man, you don't need her for that, in fact you don't need her for most things, but you want her for most things.

Yeah. Today. Stunning girl who works in a nearby store near my job made me feel this way. Kind of the opposite of Cardguy here. I know I'll never see her again so I don't hesitate to approach. At most I'll feel bad for a minute or two, but I've had some interesting stories about my random approaches to hot girls I see. Most things unattainable are depressing. But two important points to consider when depression is starting to creep up on you about this:

1). Approaching a guy for friendship out of the blue would be almost as "unattainable."

Try it. See a strange guy pass by and attempt to befriend him. I've had men do this and it spooked me. My guess is that you'd actually have a better shot getting the girl's number.

2). Circumstance makes women "unattainable."

When I did graphic design for a newspaper company in college the woman who sat next to me was a part-time model-turned-designer. She was really hot the first week. Then after I saw her again and again she became less hot, except on days she dressed up. Then she invited me out and insisted I eat this weird health food dinner (whole wheat spaghetti). I didn't make a play for her: I was dating someone, she was older, she was a co-worker...and her health food lectures began to drive me nuts. But her interest made me feel like I could have. So, she became another female friend (of many) I sort of flirted with.

But had I breezed by her at a mall, I'd probably have felt the wistfulness of seeing the "unattainable."

Cardguy, I see you have the same problem as many of my friends. Very intelligent guys who freeze up when it comes to beautiful women. My advice would be to go up and talk to them. What do you have to lose? A bit of pride when you are rejected at the most. This is essentially a game forum and our key objective is to improve our game.

That being said, adopt a "screw it just do it attitude". So what if you're ugly or fat? I started gaming hot chicks when I was a skinny twig. I obviously didn't get laid because I was a newbie (and still am) but I also started working out at the time. Because of my improved game skills and a better physique, I get better results now.

My advice would be to stop letting your emotions get in the way. Just do what you need to to win at the game of life. Approach many chicks who are "out of your league" (whatever the fuck that means). I know this may sound beta, but I can definitely relate to what the OP is saying.

However, personally, when I see a hot girl walk past I could not care less, because I know for a fact that there are PLENTY of exceptionally beautiful women out there.

I seem to feel that feeling of depression only when I see a really hot girl who happens to fit my personal ideal look. I think this is because I know that there aren't many of them out there, and deep down my brain is telling me that they're out of my league.
