A feminist's study abroad went wrong in Vietnam and she was raped. She was traumatized by this, rightfully so, but then to heal her pain she made a film about it called Meet My Rapist that was attached to her real name. She went against the advice of her friends/family not to make the movie because she believed it was necessary to face her "demons". Now she complains that she can't get laid because her dates are googling her and backing off once they find out she's a rape victim.

Given that she's using her rape to promote her career as a professional feminist -- a la Andrea Dworkin -- we should not unquestioningly trust her assertion that she was, in fact, raped.

Just a general question, in an attempt at being fair. But do guys do things just as annoying or as attention whoring as these women? Duke porn girl, 18 year old suing parents? I think this is an interesting comment because, feminism is so strident towards trying to demonize the concept of rape, that it's damaging a very terrible crimes validity.

In earlier times, if a woman said she was raped, we had no choice but to sympathize, but now, because the feminist movement has become obsessed with trying to claim women are victims of rape in many more sexual circumstances then what is truly rape, we as men are now questioning the validity of a woman saying rape has happened.

It's a real shame, because this feminist agenda of trying to accuse everyone of rape, has really tarnished the validity of a horrific crime.

I know a couple women who claim to have been raped. None of them were. And my experience isn't unique.

It's odd, isn't it? You don't see guys going around claiming to have been mugged, or sodomized.

Modern Western society is sick. The greatest moral authority one can have comes not from virtue, wisdom, or character, but from victimhood. It is truly irrational to give so much deference and moral authority to victims. To be a victim, one does not have to have any redeeming qualities or contribute anything valuable to society. Victims do not deserve more respect or greater say in our culture.

My grandmother was an eighteen-year-old German girl on the wrong side of the Oder–Neisse line at the close of World War II. She was raped by multiple Russian soldiers on a train on her way to western Germany.

How do I know this? Only because my grandfather told me about it after my grandmother passed away. By all accounts, she and my grandfather had a healthy sex life throughout their marriage, up to the end of her days (my grandfather wasn't above bragging after a few beers, the old goat). In life she was a sociable, happy woman who I never saw without a smile.

My point is, although my grandmother had her innocence violently robbed from her as a teenager, she never let that define her or limit her ability to have a love life, marriage, and children. She certainly never felt any need to go about declaring her "victimhood" to all and sundry.
