So it has come through loud and clear through public comments and ones I've received in private that the prank was not wise. Tuth and I are not tone deaf---we understand why the reaction to it was negative and are not planning a follow-up. It's one of those "it seemed like a good idea at the time" kind of deals.

It would be a shame to lose members because of this, but breaks from the forum can be helpful for some. If they miss the forum in their absence, we'll still be here when they want to return. As for me, the forum is an important part of my day to discuss and read about issues and topics that I can't anywhere else. The prank painfully reminded me not to take that for granted.

We've talked about this now for over 24 hours so I will lock this up. While I don't expect you to forget about this right away, let's try to return to normal. Like usual, my PM box is open.
