It's not public knowledge, but I keep informal dossiers on suspicious members of this forum. Like the NSA, you got nothing to worry about if you're not doing anything wrong.

   

Several months ago, I started one on member VincentVinturi. From the jump, he'd struck me as a self-promoter, game-denialist, and maybe even PUA spammer. Some of his threads in the early-going definitely had that tone to them.

I decided to start digging. I quickly learned that he was operating an account at PUAhate under the username Dimitri. I was certain it was him for the following reasons.

1. His avatar--that old picture of him looking downward--was the same at PUAHate and here for a while. He's since changed his avatar there, a fact discussed in this thread.

   

2. He's started the same threads here and there, with the exact same title--down to the punctuation--within minutes of each other.

3. He's known to live in Thailand on PUAHate, as he is here.

4. He's also taken threads from here and posted them there--with the exact same title and punctuation--within days of each other.

5. He's promoted (specifically) the sleep benefits of magnesium on both boards.

At PUAHate, he routinely engaged in bad mouthing the forum and some of its members with whom he seemed to have an unhealthy obsession. He also ridiculed Roosh directly, and acknowledged having been banned here previously.

           

Despite all of this evidence, I waited to ban him outright, since he often insulted PUAHate as well, and I figured it was worth ascertaining his motivations and finding any possible affiliations. During this wait-and-see period, he was attacked for his post at ROK, which rallied support for him. Evidently, Roosh did not have my suspicions and allowed him to contribute there. Rather than come after a man already besieged, I decided to wait a bit longer.

But this troll thread today has forced my hand to come forward with my case against VincentVinturi-Dimitri to the community. While he seems like a guy with genuine game skills, and willingness to share his information, he's also a secret subversive who associates with an organization that has coordinated several troll attacks on this forum, and which ridicules our members as a matter of routine. He's proven to be deceptive, suggesting that his primary motivation is self-promotion rather than enriching this community--even if that means undercutting us to enhance his image elsewhere. He can't plead ignorance, because he's gone through deliberate steps to cover his tracks (such as changing his avatar at PUAHate) once his footprint on this side of the fence started to grow.

What are your thoughts, RVF?

Anytime a 'Game Guru' offers advice telling men to curl their eyelashes I call bullshitter.

Openly criticizing Roosh, who has graciously given him a platform to sell his 'books' is not only a direct slap in Roosh's face but a sign of an even deeper flaw: being a beta bitch boy and backstabbing = disloyalty.

In my book disloyalty = a beatdown in an alley or more.

Curling eyelashes seems a bit extreme, and all that other stuff doesn't sound good.

I will say that I got chicks checking me out a lot when I wore goth makeup on Halloween, but that thread really just seems like a troll thing. What would inspire a guy to curl his eyelashes? It's not even glam or goth. That's on some extra tranny/metrosexual level.

Also, women are more attracted to men with smaller more mysterious eyes.

And in all honesty, I put no stock in any of the self-promoters here. In the real world, you have to convince what you're selling is legit, not post about it here and get pissed when someone argues about it. Selling shit through Amazon on a blog don't make you an expert.

^The easy solution is if you want to promote your product(s), then get vetted first by highly repped members.

Have them vouch for your real-world skills, then you can promote.

It's like a guy asking to come on as a host with me. I give him 2 nights to show what he can do first UNPAID, then if he can back up his big talk, I'll bring him in on a trial basis.

Hmmmm, this episode make us look bad.

We can thank Tuthmosis' superior investigative skills and his commitment to maintaining the integrity of the boards but imagine if this information fell into enemy hands. Doesn't bode well for the community.

I'd say a higher amount of discretion is needed before backing figures of the manosphere. First Mark Mintner, now this. There's nothing wrong with self-promotion, but if you're going to do it with the backing of an organization, you need to have THEIR back too, which is clearly not the case here.

Agreed. There's guys I trust here on the board I've not met, but were in meetups with dudes I know well. If Fisto or El Mech sign off on another member, I'll take it at face value.

Dudes pimping their wares on here but refuse to meet with their peers is weak sauce. If dudes are so worried about anonymity, they'd be no where around the internet in the first place.

Interesting thread. I'm surprised by a few things.

- Tuthmosis' investigative skills. CIA level ish.

- A PUA hate forum? Lol. That's beyond hilarious. Can't imagine why one would devote that kind of time hating on others. Like one big circle jerk.

- He called out GManifesto pretty hard. As a fan of his blog, whether it's entertainment or real is neither here nor there, but this looks like a pretty clear case of plagiarism.

We're arriving at the point where if you want to be a prominent member of this community, you must be prepared to shake hands with others.

I believe we've arrived at this point. The way to keep the community strong is to police your own ranks. "I am my brother's keeper". Might as well do a shakedown now to save further embarrassment. Having a bunch of fakes or trolls will damage the brand when it goes mainstream. Anyone self-promoting or making extraordinary claims that's not met anyone needs to be looked at first.

I'm baffled as the guy made some quality posts in here. I don't pay attention to promoters here or elsewhere so wasn't much following any of that crap. But to say that reading he was a troll is quiet a surprise. Agent Tuths spying skills are top notch and are to be commanded!
