Great news for all you players out there! The same guy that brought us the HPV vaccine has just concluded the first human trial of a herpes vaccine. This doesn't necessarily mean that this will be at your local store anytime soon, but it seems promising. There also seems to be a therapeutic HPV vaccine in the works (the current edition doesn't help you if you already have HPV).

If it's doing human trials, it's still going to be a few years off in terms of having an actual vaccine ready to be purchased. I'm curious to see how it goes because herpes is one of those stubborn viruses that can't be fully treated at the moment.
