I agree that those hairstyles are the worst offenders. I think it depends entirely on the woman's reasons. If it's pure lazyness a shoulder length cut is just as bad because it is just the beginning of worse and worse hair cuts.

My friend's girl got her hair chopped and he expressed that he didn't like it. My girl was talking to her and saying that it looked good (it didn't look bad...but longer is better) and she said "yeah, I thought about doing that before, it'd be easier to take care of but I know he'd hate it"

All I had to say was, "that's right."

I could tell the dread my buddy had inspired in her as she was all self-conscious about her shorter hair and I was more than happy to reinforce it in my own girl.

She showed up late.
He was dressed decent, black boots, blue jeans and nice black jacket.
She smiled, I think she liked what she saw.
He smiled a bit but not like an idiot.
But then he rambled on, revealing his life story.
Even professing to have his own website, then showing her on his phone.
I so wanted to tell the guy something, but didn't have the chance.
I would have sat there and made her talk.
I think he will get a second date, who knows.

I am amazed how often I see these type of dates in Starbucks.

Coffee dates are "safe" because there is little opportunity of escalation or chance of sex. Hell they're not even dates. Women converse over coffee with each other. Ever see coffee talk on SNL?

Don't waste your time getting to know each other at Starbucks. Set the tone for sex properly. Drinks are more fun, lower inhibitions, build intimacy (you're out together right?) and hopefully leads to the bedroom at the end of the night.

Coffee/tea/juice dates work pretty well in Asia from my experience. My guess is that they also work in America for guys who are obviously higher value than the girls they try to sleep with, know it and and act like it. All my same day/night lays in the US involved drinks, though.

I also enjoy this game, it makes the girl aware of your advances and gives you an excuse to sit beside each other and observe the bar. Last, you can open with kino...as in "you see how that guy did this?" (touch) "thats way too passive, it needs to be like this?" (touch) to be very clear about intentions.
