I was one of the guys who met him here in Wroclaw, we actually went one night to Mundo and Lavos and he seemed like a cool guy. We talked on fb and now I recall he did say some weird things like the fact that he had been banned from the forum for no reason. I guess I should've seen this coming, lesson learnt: you can't trust everyone. He still spams people with the fb Ivona Larisa btw

The absolute worst thing you can do to an anonymous backstabber/hater is to reduce their anonymity. The fact that he lives permanently in Wroclaw, a relatively small city, means he can't afford to be exposed. One thing I learned in my travels is that even though the world is big, it can be quite small when you want to hide. His behavior has finally caught up to him.

I met him about a year ago in Warsaw (he emailed me saying he was a regular reader). We spent some time in Bucharest and Iasi, where he was very friendly and helpful to me, always complimenting my writing. But then I cooled off on him in Wroclaw because he was acting clingy and odd, sending me huge text messages. Once he felt he was losing the friendship, strange things started happening that I was able to trace back to him. I missed the warning signs because he was always blowing my head up by acting as my number one fan. I thought he just really liked my work, but obviously he was developing some kind of fixation.

Europe has criminal libel laws that are very strict. It's a historical legacy that has been around for centuries. Accusing someone of a "loathsome disease", like a STD, is a very serious matter.

This person has crossed the line in a big way. He may very well have violated criminal laws.

Making a public accusation like he has, is "publishing" under Interpol's view. Generally, you don't even have to show financial "damages" like in the US, as damages are "presumed" when dealing with a "loathsome disease".

Here is Poland's law, according to Wikipedia:

In Poland, defamation is a crime that consists of accusing someone of a conduct that may degrade him in public opinion or expose him "to the loss of confidence necessary for a given position, occupation or type of activity". Penalties include fine, limitation of liberty and imprisonment for up to a year (Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code). It is likely--very likely--that other Eastern European states have similarly strict laws.

So, this person who thought it would be fun to defame someone is in for a rude awakening.

Story time:

Back in October, I told him about a girl I dated. He begged me for pictures, but I hesitated. After another week of pestering, I relented.
