I hadn't thought of the "for women" angle but yeah that's definitely a natural line extension along with "for couples" I could see it as "Maybach" of porn, hand crafted and customized exclusively for the client

The porn for women angle is already out there but still lacking, that could be a good niche. I recently introduced my girl to porn from passionhd production company I think they'r called. She cant get enough of it. Its not that soft core storyline crap either. I would say the main differences shes commented on are the guys are actually muscled attractive younger guys and not wierd looking out of shape hairy guys like a lot of porn. Also though its still hard porn its not quite as "degrading" for lakc of a better word in that its not all facefucking amd facials. I realize the porn for women angle is already out there. What I don't believe has been done is the "custom porn to order" business model that I posted. The OP asked for ideas for starting a porn business.

In an an already saturated industry that is already commoditized, rife with piracy, and has a relatively low barrier to entry (porn on all 3 counts) competing based on anything other than a new paradigm / model is going to be pretty difficult.

Very difficult. Girls in MOST countries have no desire whatsoever to shoot porn no matter how much they get paid, because THEIR FAMILIES WILL DISOWN THEM.

The bottom line is that the big tubes have tons of content for every niche imaginable, which makes it extremely difficult for any small guy to compete. Got to xvideos.com and search for something. It's already there.

If you're doing this as more of a hobby or something on the side, go for it. If you're expecting a legitimate income from porn, realize it's not 2002 where any idiot could but up some galleries from one of the bigger companies, become an affiliate, and watch the money come in. Browse the gfy forums for awhile and you will hear similar stories to what I'm saying here.

You make a good point, go to any site like tubegalore, elephanttube, tubestack, etc and you can find literally any category you could think of.

I think for that reason this custom porn angle could be good. If you want to go the more traditional route you need to find really wierd niches lacking content.

You need to go for a small obscure niche. Sure there will be less people interested in it but at the same time that niche will be lacking content so those interested in that subject will all flock to your videos.

Do a search on ABF or ABF, there's forums and dating sites dedicated to this topic but not really any porn you could probably clean up in that area. You really need to find obscure niches that are lacking content.

The custom porn angle is a great idea. Depending on pricepoint it may be priced a bit higher than the average person is willing to pay. I see ads on cl of people wanting to hire a solo guy or girl or even couple to make a custom porn just for their personal use. These people however are typical not going to want to pay thousands for a full production custom porn but are going to want to pay maybe a couple hundred bucks and use their own digital cam. Maybe the OP could have packages at various price points. If you really wanted to make it a big ticket item you could have cam girls, let guys fall for a cam girl and then offer custom porn productions either that you send them or even in person and some people may pay big money.
