I agree that AsiaBaller is a troll and that Thailand has its good traits, but I have to differ on Thai taxis. I get scammed or scam attempts almost every time I get into a Thai taxi. They are some of the most unscrupulous sharks I’ve ever encountered, and they do it all with a disarming smile. Most recent case, I got into a taxi to go to the airport, but the driver had the towel covering his meter. By the time I realized that, it was too late and he was already on the move. So when I told him to use the meter, he refused and asked for 500 baht plus tolls. I did talk him down to 300 baht plus 50 more for tolls, but when we got to the airport, he went back to asking for 500 baht. I ignored his request and gave him 300, got my bag out and walked into the airport without looking back.
Those fuckers are second only to Manila airport taxi drivers...

I'm doing huge elaborate write ups with sources and the haters here shit on me with one word responses like feminists and SJWs shit on Roosh. RACIST!!! MYSOGNIST!!! RAPIST!!!
Thai taxi drivers are generally honest people and if you get scammed by them it must be for the following reasons:
You talk to them in English. Sawasdeekrap, Sukhumvit XX ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_numerals) na krab goes a long way over some brit straight from the plane talking to them in English in an accent even I can't understand.
You take taxis from the taxi mafia area around Asoke and Nana. If you aren't part of the mafia they will wreck your taxi and beat you up. Normal drivers can't pick up people there and therefore all the drivers there are scumbags by default.
You're taking a taxi from the airport. The junta cleaned things up a bit but they still try to get gas while the meter is running and that kind of stuff.
You're taking a taxi with an Asian girl. She doesn't need to be thai but a lot of drivers instantly turn into passive aggressive conniving cunt mode to mess with you and the race traitor. They go around in circles, drive to the wrong place on purpose, pretend to not understand your thai and that kind of stuff. If you get aggressive they might attack you with a weapon that they usually have handy, so it's better to just suck it up.

RE: The Bangkok Thread
Why wouldn't you just use grab or the airport rail link? I only use taxis when I have to, but I haven't had a bad experience yet, you just have to bring up the meter as soon as you get in the car, it's top priority. Filipino taxi drivers on the other hand I have had bad experiences with, many of those cunts refuse to use the meter.
Asiaballer, stop trying to convince people you're here contributing any value. You're 100% negative energy.

Asiaballer is good at ruffling feathers, but apart from that, his posts are just pointless babble. Seems people who have the worst to say about Thailand (or any country), are the ones who failed miserably in it and are bitter.

A couple weeks ago, I asked this Thai girl at a club what she does for a work. She said she works in sales. I ask if she is a freelancer and she said no. I brought her back to my room, jumped into bed with her then ask me for money. I told her, you said you have normal job and not freelancer. She goes she doesn't know what freelancer means, she has boyfriend, blah blah blah. I end up kicking her out!
Last week, I went out where this Thai girl was majorly into me. I was with another girl that night where she end up following me, asking all these questions about the girl I'm with, etc... I end up getting her number where she text me the next day and ask to see me. I asked if she was a freelancer, she didn't know what the was. I ask if she Prostitute in Thai and she replied with 3 angry faces and now has ghost me now.
What do you guys say to find out if she is a hooker or not?
Give them shit about being ladyboys.. Make sure they get the joke.
"You sure you're not a ladyboy?" If you can keep it going with a straight face and throw the odd smile and wink they will lap it up.
Then start talking about 'side-line girls' about the good looking chicks that meet guys in bars and clubs and later claim 'my main job is as a model - THIS is just my side-line.."
If you can get her to the place where she knows you are just teasing her about the tranny thing, you can revisit and say 'so..but you're not a 'side-line ladyboy are you? Cos I don't pay anyone for sex.." and then you can just put it out there as a one liner "why do people try and ambush guys, go back to their hotels THEN ask them for money.. That shit wouldn't work on me."
Any woman that tries to retrospectively ask for money without having done it upfront knows that she is just trying it on. She knows that she is in the wrong and so you are well within your rights in telling them to fuck off.
a lot of the mob violence and pimp enforcers people warn each other about tend to be reserved for the many many weirdos that like to beat and hurt prostitutes, still plenty of them walking around Bangkok.
I honestly don't think you'll cop a beating for telling a woman pre-sex and who has mislead you to fuck off. I've done it when its happened to me and for all their bluster nothing came of it.

My dick is getting annoyed at me! What do you guys say to find out if she is a hooker or not without fucking things up?
No normal girl with an office job partakes alone in the nightlife. The nightlife is considered hooker territory for the most part. Thais are very social people and the middle class and above get tables at clubs in Thong Lor and Ekkamai, where few foreigners are and often don't interact with anyone outside of their social circle at all, let alone with foreigners.
Thais of all social classes are habitual liars as I mentioned before, which is why thais generally distrust foreigners as well as they're used to people lying all the time and will ask very probing questions to see if there are any holes in your stories.
Thais also are some of the most unfaithful people on the planet and generally have multiple girlfriends at the same time or visit prostitutes.
No younger hooker will admit she's a hooker - she's your girlfriend for the night which you compensate with taxi money or a financial gift.
It's not the west where girls will go to clubs to get banged by a guy she finds attractive. She likely has parents and siblings to support in the countryside and doesn't make much in a regular job as she's uneducated if she isn't hooking full time. Salaries are a low, nothing is free and countryside families are unashamed beggars.
I'm not supporting P4P, just giving you some perspective that things work VERY differently in poor 3rd world countries where nobody has your back (unless you're from a wealthier ethnic Chinese family) and family expectations regarding support are VERY strong and culturally ingrained. Culturally you're essentially your parents slave.

Probably 80 to 90 percent of all taxi drivers are honest and decent people, very few have ever tried any scam on me, actually I can think of only one case. I think people's bad experiences stem mostly from late hours in low sois of Sukhumvit and Nana. Some drivers are rude as hell and/or incompetent. Quite a few are under influence of different legal or illegal substances but not too many would try any scam. If you get a bad vibe, just don't get in or stop before the trip has even begun. They cost next to nothing anyway and are available everywhere.
Tuk tuks are in my experience a much bigger rip-off and I would never take them unless in emergency. Also they expose you to the heat and pollution and are more vulnerable in accidents than cars.

It's okay if you're on vacation for 1 week and get scammed a few times, but if you're living in Bangkok for a while and continuously get scammed, that gets annoying really fast. Essentially you're being treated like a lesser human, and that's not cool. Obviously it's not just about the money.
3rd world people feel inferior to caucasians and north east asians and project their racism on us.
Therefore we must pay more.
It's not an immigrant country and anyone who doesn't stick around because he has some high status position in a company is generally viewed with suspicion.

RE: The Bangkok Thread
Heading to BKK for my bachelor party. Largely looking to hook up with freelancers, farang hunters, but also pros too. Group is a bunch of rich, middle aged guys who are all in pretty good shape and probably can pull easily from clubs.
Wanted a recommendation from anyone on the following:
1. My previous favorite gentlemen's club was the Lord. It had a bit of a refined and adult feeling to it. Unfortunately, I understand that it closed a little over a year ago. Does anyone have any recommendations other than the Pimp? Something very high end, ideally..
2. As far as nightclubs go, my favorites were Sugar, Levels, Insanity, Mixx for what we want to do. I'm going to be with five other guys, along with a few helpers (security, host). Sugar seems a bit claustrophobic for that big of a group and so does Levels. Is Insanity the place for a group that big? I'm not interested in a place like Sing Sing because it will all be expats. Are there any new nightclubs like those that are better, fancier? Is there something in Sathorn?
3. Is the Sofitel So pool party on Saturday pretty much only expats or are there a lot of farang hunters there too?
