One of the things men all over the world can still be proud of are the great feats of engineering man has accomplished. I never lose interest in understanding how mindblowing structures get built. Very inspiring. A couple of docs I enjoyed recently were:





This is about the ongoing project to expand the Panama Canal by creating an additional - wider- lane that can accommodate "Post-Panamax" ships (ships that are too large and wide to pass through the current lane).





This one is about how the Channel Tunnel that connects England to France underneath the English Channel was built. Truly epic project. The English and French teams started from their own turf and competed to see who would reach the midway point first. Two countries that have fought countless wars and have been separated by water for 13,000 years!

ENGINEERING CONNECTIONS offers a delicious intellectual meal. Exciting. ENGINEERING CONNECTIONS. This one shows modern engineering marvels and engineers uses historical inventions and nature clues to solve modern engineering problems. Only 3 seasons are made.
