Also CardGuy I almost agree with you. You're right that it isn't left or right. Honestly today, fuck the left and fuck the right. But I think you mean libertarian, not liberal.

As Matt Drudge recently said, there is no more left or right anymore, no more Democrat or Republican. Just Libertarian or Authoritarian, and which fight you want to fight. In a way Fascists are much closer to today's left though, even though their ethnic stand makes them seem falsely right wing. Commies are more out and out left wingers to the common person [idiot].

You have to ask yourself why this interview even happened and why it became public.

Show is currently averaging 14.6 million viewers. It's in the top 5 shows in all of the United States.

This is clearly an attempt by the Obama regime to destroy family, honor, honesty and faith.

They did the same thing to Paula Deen as her multi million dollar business.

Obama is totally against rural southern Christian Americans.

On another note, Anne Sweeney is the most powerful woman in US television history. She's the co chair of Disney media and president of the Disney ABC group which donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Obamas re election campaign. They also jointly own with the Hearst corporation the A&E network duck dynasty airs on.

This group along side Obama made it their personal mission to destroy duck dynasty due to their belief that all objections to homosexuality and their lifestyles, and all references to Christianity must be removed from American mass media exposure and pop culture forever.

Just look who he's sending out to greet Putin a the Olympics. Just another sign of the times. Like our boy said, lets just enjoy the decline.

I am surprised that "liberal" does not have same the meaning in the UK (i.e., championing social welfare programs).

I thought that the third largest political party in the UK was the Liberal Democrat Party and that it was heavily influenced by social welfare, i.e., the belief that liberalism should champion social issues such as poverty, health care, and education.

I'm sure one of the Robertsons actually said that the show was originally designed by A&E as a way for rich city people to feel superior to poor country trash stereotypes, never expecting audiences to respond positively to them. They're self-aware of the role they were expected to play.

@Tail Gunner - yeah but the Lib Dems have only being in existence for the past 25 years. Before that it was the Liberal party (right of centre) and the Social Democrats (left of centre).

The Liberal party were the second biggest party in the UK about 90 years ago. But they got into a coalition with the Conservatives - and it ended up sinking them politically. As such - Labour rose to being the main opposition party.

'Liberalism' is used in the UK in the same way it is in the US. But that is a meaning which has being imported to this country from America. And only in the past 5 years or so.

Traditionally - British liberalism was assocatied with free market capitalism.

Of course. For what it's worth, you need to be at least 16 in Georgia to apply for a marriage license (with parental consent). In Louisiana, a court order is necessary for females under the age of 16.

They stay on top of events there. I recall years ago, when they were out searching for JFK Jr., they were simultaneously running the episode of "Biography" on him. The lead-in from commercial was "As the search continues for John F. Kennedy Jr., this is Biography" or something to that effect. I was thinking at the moment that it was kind of fucked up, but running it then would draw a ton of viewers, and the would be the first to get JFK Jr. material out there. It's business.
