RE: Why is the Manosphere anti-Vegan?
Steak, cigs, vodka and fucking women raw were good enough for the Rat Pack...

...and it's damn good enough for me.

I could care less if other people eat meat or not; it's their rightful choice, but I love meat, especially a medium rare steak.

Ironic though how in this day and age, EVERYTHING is bad for you, based on which study that comes out.

If I die early because of having refreshing smokes, drinking top shelf smooth vodka, eating juicy mouth watering steaks, or fucking fresh tight pink pussy, then so be it.

I'll have had a helluva time doing it.

That's cool bro, and you have my support. However;

The way I look at things, is that if I leave out the smoking, eat less meat and drink less whiskey (I'm more of a whiskey guy than a vodka guy), I'll be looking younger longer and I'll stay healthy and fit for a longer period, meaning I'd still be able to game young chicks and keep up with them when I'm in my forties.

Not to mention that smoking really has become an inconvenience here in West-Europe. You're not allowed to smoke anywhere anymore. I can't even smoke inside my own home because the house owner doesn't allow it. So because of that I stopped smoking. I feel a lot better ever since.

While it's true that diary products, grain and corn are a lot worse for us than meat, and while it's true that meat in small amounts is very healthy, especially if you work-out, eating lots of meat is by no means healthy, especially not red meat, which is the worst kind of meat for us humans.

You can see that a high-fiber diet is much more important for human-beings who want to live healthy, while carbs on the other hand are better cut low. The idea that meat is the best source of food for muscle-growth is quite frankly, a myth. High-fiber products such as broccoli, berries and spinach is what you need for muscle gain. Red meat can be beneficial too, but only if it's grass-fed and occasional. Everyone knows that eating lots of red meat is directly related to many of the health problems we often see in our modern-day western society. Just look at the diet of an average obese fat-ass cunt who suffers from type 2 diabetes and a high cholesterol. They're all primarily meat eaters, red meat eaters.

Now of course if you live an active life, you sleep enough and at regular times, work-out and eat enough high-fiber products, you're not gonna notice the negative effects of too much red meat. You're probably gonna feel just fine. But if you don't have such a lifestyle and you still eat too much (red) meat, then you can bet your sweet cheeks that sooner or later you're gonna notice the negative effects of it.

Being healthy is all about balance, and in this case, an occasional home-made hamburger 3-4 times a week is the correct balance to gain all the benefits of eating meat, while not suffering from the negatives.

I am sorry but this is a load of bullshit.

How about you tell me how I'm wrong rather than just blatantly claiming it's bullshit without offering a counter-argument?

I can speak from personal experience that I never was able to get a nice six-pack, until I started to cut back on the red meat and ate more spinach, broccoli, almonds, soy products and occasionally fish such as salmon. How do you explain that?

The fabled "six pack" is largely a result of diet, not muscle gain. You cut fat by reducing caloric intake. Not surprising. (Though congratulations are in order as it's not an easy achievement.)

Forget the six pack. What do you bench, squat, and deadlift?

The macro-nutrient responsible for muscle growth and gain is Protein, not fiber. You can eat all the fiber in the world and lift but if your protein intake is not high enough you will not trigger muscle growth.

This is a completely different topic. Muscle growth is not the same as fat loss. Not surprising since those foods you listed are relatively low on calories.

RE: Why is the Manosphere anti-Vegan?
Well fair enough guys, I stand corrected.

I'm by no means a diet expert and I'm still learning. I get most of my info from my best friend who's a nutritionist. So either he misinformed me or I misunderstood him. Most likely the latter. It was his idea to cut back in the meat and start eating more spinach, broccoli, almonds and salmon and it worked for me.

That said, red meat is not at all the best source for proteins according to him. Fish and chicken is much better if I have to believe him.

(12-12-2013 03:02 AM)AnonymousBosch Wrote:  Yeah, any grains. Vegetables don't seem to be enough fibre alone for me, which is odd considering the amount I eat. I'm going to try Paleo again after christmas to get very cut for a movie role I'm doing and I'll try to figure out the constipation problem in the process. I'll admit it could be a problem unique to me. I'm sure there's enough information in the forum for me to read up on with some searching.

Isn't Green Juicing the latest fad? I eat kale or spinach, courgettes, brocolli, brussell sprouts, snow peas or beans and apples on a daily basis anyway. Cabbage now and then. I love the individual texture and tastes of vegetables, (particularly my homegrown seasonal ones), and know how to cook them to bring out or compliment their flavours, so I don't see the advantage of mashing up something I already enjoy into a sludge. I can see it appealing as a trend to female cubicle workers for the laziness of it. Sell me on the pluses of it from your viewpoint.

Are you using a blender? Traditional juicers would remove the fibre - soluble vegetable fibre lowers your blood pressure and cholesterol.

I use a champion juicer. It removes some large fibers but I don't buy that notion that a super high fiber diet is necessary.

If you're eating a large amount of vegetables and you're having issues with regularity, something is off. I've always found eggs to be a natural laxative, as well as hot tea.

Green juice may be a recent fad, but the amount of vegetables that I pack into one quart of juice is far more than you could ever eat in a sitting. Since I don't sit down and eat full proper meals, I like being able to consume concentrated nutrition like that.

Try it for yourself.

Eating meat increases body fat, and extra body fat is correlated with increased estrogen levels.

Just food for thought.

Only if eaten in a big mac with loads of carbs and a side portion of no exercise.

Plenty of guys eating lots of meat and some veg (but no grains, ketogenic diet) have gotten shredded in months.

Like I said earlier in the thread (but you ignored my point), read up on some Gary Taubes to see how incredibly wrong you are.

Most people can't afford it, and are stuck with domesticated animal meat.

I checked out the link.

At first I thought it was some sort of bro-science article, but upon further investigation some of Gary Taubes' points are very good (though not scientifically established). I found a youtube video of him giving a lecture on obesity, and how it's the result of malnutrition/undernourishment rather than excess calorie consumption, especially in poor third world countries.

But I doubt he consumes much meat. I haven't (yet) found any pages where he advocates eating meat.
