Never invest more in a woman than she's willing to invest in you. I've never bought a drink for a stranger in my entire life, and will only spend money (Sparingly) on a girl if we click and see each other more than a few times. Sometimes on the first date the girl will make no effort to reach for her purse. I'll eat the cost of the drink, but since I go for hipster girls I can always get away with taking them to a dive bar where drinks are dirt cheap.

It's a slippery slope when it comes to dating girls. If you take her to an NBA game and you get amazing seats she'll be disappointed when you just want to go out for drinks the next date. If she digs you then she won't care about your money (Although a man's resources are an aphrodisiac for women). I don't have as high a notch count as most guys, but in one year I managed to fuck 5 girls (Previous record was 2 girls over 24 years) and I never spent a dime on any of them when I got their numbers, saw IOI's, or brought them back to fuck. You can be broke and living on a friend's couch but if your game is good enough that won't be an issue.

I flicked at her upper lip which from the look on her face, looked painful. My finger felt hurt so it was painful. Seriously, I didn't want to do this but I just had to justify myself because of her rudeness.

Second, I never said I didn't want to pay for dinner. If that were true, then why did I take her out to eat? You're saying that. My gripe is with the unexpectedly high bill. After the restaurant, she was happy and grabbed my hand. So I don't think she saw that I didn't want to pay.

But the moral to the story is to not make this mistake again. I learned my lesson the hard way, which is the best way to learn from a mistake.

Hi, Lex S. You make a great point. I do however have the tendency of taking girls to a good bar on day 2 and paying for drinks which come to $25 - 30 total. But I plan on changing this by taking her out to a place where I don't have to pay for anything, just by reading everyone's replies. The thing is, its cold in NYC. And the best places to take a girl out are to these bars. If I don't buy her a drink there she'll think I'm cheap. So, maybe this is something you guys can help me with? I'd appreciate good suggestions.

You're arguing pure semantics. The fact is that you didn't want to pay for dinner (at that high of a price). YOU stated "The bill came out high and I had no choice but to pay it." which is wrong. You had every choice to not pay all of it OR to take some personal responsibility for your own budget and find out what things cost before ordering there or eating there. It's a normal thing for someone to look at a menu to determine if there's food they want to eat at an establishment and that the prices are within their budget.

There is no "unexpectedly high" bill. There is lack of planning/choice and then bitterness like you somehow got screwed over. You are not learning the lesson if you're not admitting that you made multiple mistakes along the way and that stating "I had no choice" is a crock of shit and a cop out. That is straight up female hamsterbation type reasoning and you have to nip it in the bud if you want to improve.

Hey, McQueen'sPlayboyRules. Thanks for the advice. It's possible that she meant sex. But then again, I seriously don't know for sure. But being the dumb nice guy that I was unfortunately, I didn't push myself to go to her suite. Even if she had said no, it would've been balsy and that may have made her think twice about me.

I live in NYC, too, and I do agree about there not being much fun stuff to do that's free in the winter (The summer is better for this kind of thing). In situations like this I prefer the Tom Leykis rule of thumb - Spend no more than $40 on a date. Ask her when she's having dinner on such-and-such a night. When she responds say "Awesome, so let's get drinks afterwards, meet me at XXXXX at X-o-clock." And since there are tons of good areas to party in NYC chances are there's one close to you - Pick some place close, so that way if you seal the deal you can get home without any hassle.

I was also wondering what the fuck that meant. I had the impression of a fingernail leaving the OP's finger like on a railgun. Now that we have the description, it really seems like something one would only do to a girl because a guy would counter with a punch.

She said she remembers me, that I'm the cute Russian guy. I'm like wow, it's on, and arrange to meet up with her on Saturday.

Today, she texts me again and asks to send my pic, so I do that and ask her to send hers. When I get the pick, I'm like WTF! What's been seen can't be unseen. She is not skinny, she seems to have no fucking fat or muscles at all. It's clearly some kind of disease - muscular dystrophy or something. All the body builders out there trying to reduce their body fat % to low single digits, it's like top that motherfuckers!

Of course I text her back and tell her that I'm not interested in meeting and cancel the date. The bigger question is this: how the fuck did I find her bangable a few months back? Why the fuck did it occur to me to bounce out of the bar with her and invite her to another bar with the intention of bringing her to my place after that?

Well, first of all, it was almost winter and we were wearing coats. She never took off hers as far as I remember. But her neck and even face look odd in the picture too because of the low body fat! How the fuck didn't I notice that when I saw her in person? Well, that must have been the vodka. 5 stiff drinks by the time I saw her at the bar if I remember correctly.

So, the moral of the story is: not all that cockblocks you is your enemy. Sometimes it's for your own good. Another one is that drinking too much is bad, but that one I already know, easier said than done.
