I'm looking for an apartment in the fort for a one week stay early next year. Is there a particular area in the fort that is preferable in terms of logistics for dates, etc? I'd like to have at least a few coffee shops and bars within 5 min walk to my place, ideally even a couple in the same building or right next to it. Is 5 min walk to High Street a good location? I see pretty decent apartments on airbnb, reasonably priced as well.
Another question: how likely are the security guards to cock block you if you bring one girl after another to your place? I had no problems at all during my last stay (near Greenbelt), but not sure about other apartments. I read some reports about the guards being too nosy/strict at places like Gramency.
I had a pretty decent pussy parade going through in the four days i stayed at an AirBnB in the Fort (about three minutes cab ride, not walk, to Market Market), and the dude I was splitting the place with brought around another girl. I doubt they'll be a big issue, but if there's any question at all, just give the security guard a tip (no doubt 10 - 20 USD would be plenty). He'll lie to his mom to protect your game after that. They will check ID tho, it seems. In pretty much all situations I've been in they have.

Agree with Yard Dog as well, we stayed at a condo in the Fort via AirBnB that overlooked the golf course. It was an easy pull back from High St/Market Market, and you could literally stay in your place if you want until a girl texted you that she'd arrived, so you won't end up waiting around for no reason - arrival times can vary for some girls as they're taking jeepneys in traffic typically.
Be sure though that you're looking at Burgos circle, in the Fort in Taguig, and not Burgos street, which is in north Makati and is ladyboy/hooker central.

- Least amount of traffic and fairly decent air quality
- Tons of places to grab a quiet drink, escalate and then walk back to your spot
- 10 min walk to High Street and Fort Strip for more bars, restaurants and clubs
Building and condo quality is just as important though.
I've never had an issue bringing anyone into my place. However, each guest must sign in. In my building there's a parking garage entrance too where the guards, because I know them, don't ask my guest to sign in. I use this entrance about 1/2 the time to keep a lower profile.
I would ask about a 'guest policy' before you rent. In general I think the Philippines is more relaxed about this than some other places I've traveled.

It looks like I'll stay in Manila for a month.
Been looking on flats on airbnb for a while today.
There are some decent ones there.
I'm scratching my head a bit when I'm looking on the map.
Difficult to get the picture of an area you have never been in.
Edit:
Seeing the maps now and the info that Directdanger has posted earlier in the thread.
Problem solved.

Had the same problem before I hit Davao. Try sending a pm to other guys that have been there.

I found the map posted by Direct Danger to be spot on. Basically, If you're staying in Makati, make sure it's within walking distance from Greenbelt even if you have to pay extra. By walking distance, I mean a few blocks away. Taxis can be difficult to get in that area, especially during rush hour. Same thing with Uber which is often either unavailable or has surge pricing.
I'll post some more info later when I have time, but thanks to great logistics every single girl I met around Greenbelt and then invited to my place actually came to my place. My "bang / girl at my place" conversion rate, though, was pretty low for the Philippines, but still yielded me a decent stream of poosy. I mean things like the golden touchdown and 2 lays on the same day without much effort or money spent. Also, most of the time I just chilled at my place and then walked out and met the girl nearby rather than waiting for her at a public place somewhere.
I have mixed info on Davao's differences from Manila. from experiences is it really true that Davao is more conservative and requires more time before a bang? Location logistics are good in Davao because there are even low cost hotels located right in walking distance from where you could go with the girls first. But is it conservative enough in Davao for it to be worth it to give up those good location logistics for metro Manila instead?

Cool, my first post on here is what I think will be very useful for those going to Manila. I bumped my visit from 3 weeks to a month to take advantage of this.
A girl on PH Cupid recomended it and then also said specifically "The Columns" which is a massive large apt building in dead middle of everything.

I'm paying about $700 for a month.
I ran a company in Cebu for 3 years, so I can also provide advice about Americans or Westerners getting dozens of flag points there.

This is a bit like comparing Maine to NYC. Davao is a smalll city with few foreigners. Manila is very international. You can live in the poor parts of Manila and have great score on exotic, but if you're not used to SE Asia you'll have problems. Manila in good areas is like a giant US mall w/ the apartments that go with it. Also try Cebu and live in a good area for similar rent, but lower prices and more foreign culture. Still, the PH in the non poor areas is about malls and not too cultural. If you can deal with that, the people are super friendly and the girls are easy + cute. Oh, and then there are the white sand beaches to take them for a weekend. For a short term fling, can't beat the quick pick up w/ a trip to a perfect paradise island. Take your time finding the one to bring to your corner of paradise for a few days.

Even though they are a bit more conservative, you can still bang a decent amount of girls within a short time period. Just make sure you've got some game and don't have aproach anxiety and you'll be fine.
The real thing that pissed me of about Davao was the zero nightgame thing lol. It really ended being daygame or bust for me. Cupid and DIA were also quite shirt, but tinder was quite useful.
Booking a week in each of the 3 cities will give u th best of each of them
Ok thank you both above posts. I have always been wondering if I should pack up and leave to Manila instead. I will get going soon in Davao an see how it is. Because the city is quite livaeble, I am sure it I can make everything work out. I have done some searching this forum saying notches can be racked up fast if you are down for 5s and 6s. I am very down for those 2, so I think I can stay put here. Not worth it to bother myself with Manila when I can enjoy the ease or cheapness of Davao life with enough young pussy AND cooler weather to some degree.

Thanks for that Wanderluster, that website offers some pretty sweet deals from 1100PHP/night.
I hope it's no bullshit.
Yeah Brodiaga, that's the conclusion I came to after reading the entire thread.
Let me know when you are arriving.
Seems like we will be beating around the bush at the same time.
Hopefully not the same bush and hopefully not just beating around it.

Have heard barbell culture is nearly non-existent in SEA. I did a google search for 'gym with barbells in manila" and all I can find are weights for sale. Is there a gym where someone could reasonably expect to find a power rack, bench and 250-300lbs?

My building has a gym with free weights so I use it, but I pass by Fitness First often and I see racks in there.

Check it out. I think there are Gold's Gyms here and a handful of others too.
Hey guys, is it possible to buy antibiotics in Manila without prescription? I'd like to buy some azithromycin just in case.

Yes, it is possible. I think in lower end malls like Market Market they also have generic pharmacies that sell them quite cheap. I can't remember the name of the place though.
Paul B 路 2015-01-22 23:48:00 路 #1121
You can get it at any pharmacy. If you go to Generics, ask for a Zithropak (3x generic azithromycin 500mg pills for P345). If you go to Mercury, ask for Zithromax which is P151.50 per 500mg pill.
Hey guys, it's been a while... Between some traveling and work it's been crazy busy. Anyhow, I just booked another trip to the Philippines in Apr/May. Will be spending some time in Manila, taking a road trip to Baguio and still deciding whether to hit up Cebu or Davao.
YardDog, you still in Cebu? Any folks in Manila up for a meetup?
Cheers!

^ Man, I thought we scared you off
I'm planning to move to Manila within the next couple months. Whether that actually happens, remains to be seen.

Yeah man, I should be here. I'm based out of Manila now. I might be doing some Bali trips that time of year but hit me up either way.

LOL, nah man... I just needed some time away from the 'puter and had to focus on some stuff. I had a great trip to Germany, I'll write up my adventures and post some pics some time. Also took a trip to Camiguin in the Philippines... Wasn't able to meet up with anyone because of the limited time I had. Anyhow, Camiguin rocks! Will post about that too...
Good luck with the Manila move! Let me know if you have any questions.

NICE! I gotta see Bali one of these days... Take pics!
I'm looking at end of Apr/beginning of May. I'll probably be based out of Quezon City... or as the locals like to call it: 'Sin City.
