He's been attacked from all sides (including Hollywood) for years now, he's immune. Worst they have on him are some old tweets and that have been rehashed over and over. Everytime they attempt to "brand" him he comes back bigger and more popular.

We all know why it was pulled. That isn't a mystery.

Trump and his inner circle hate leaks and Mike has been getting several of those. I am quite sure his Youtube/Periscope vids are not exactly well received either.

Bill Mitchell is a sycophant and a paid shill on Team Trump. Nothing wrong with that. That's his job. Mike however is independent and a freelancer of sorts.

If he wants a press pass for the WH, he would have to tone down stuff, but that is not what makes him a draw.

Maybe later on, as his following grows much larger he could try it again, but he's small enough for them to snub without it making the base angry. May even be a way for them to carrot him into a behaviour they want him to display and knock off the leaks.

Besides, it's not normal for any president and his press secretary to have hard hitters in the press corp. Hard hitters tend to have their own shows and platforms, etc. Press corp is about as stale and corporate as it gets because none of them want to get their passes revoked. Is that shitty? Yeah, but that's politics for you.
