Something to add to this list whether you know it or not.

Because you work in construction, you are probably out in the sun a lot.

That means that your test levels are likely to be much higher than for even a 23 year old dude who spends all his time indoors doing an office job and slaps on some sunscreen lotion anytime he goes outside.

The lack of sun exposure is a huge and under-appreciated factor in test decline in western males over the last few generations. Guys who work outdoors don't need to worry about that. Pussy can smell that high test right off your body.

I'd rather work outside with my hands and use my body all day than be glued to a computer for eight hours, which can be pretty bad for your health.

This. The trades are an important part of our economy and construction is a key economic indicator.

I grew up with a "special needs" kid, he was a slow learner with anger issues in addition to social awkwardness. The kid that would eat his boogers. Steve would go to a classroom for help on certain assignments and stuff. His dad was a laborer and would learn from him. He graduated from HS and went to work with his dad in construction, he eventually made it to supervisor since he spoke english, was not an illegal, and knew a bit about the trade.

Now somehow he is: studying engineering, making mad money (apartment, 2 new trucks, VIP clubs/concerts), and bitches come to him. He is still socially awkward but successful.

Because we're nearly the same age (24) and i'm already halfway up the job ladder. I like working with my hands, but because I spent my time learning in school I get the perk of being able to hit the gym every morning at my office before i go in and start the day while already having awesome logistics and perks that most people my age don't have in a major city.

I made a concscious decision to see how much money i can extract from my skills and found my niche. If a blue collar gig is his more power to him, but being able to pull that easily while young won't keep working when he gets older especially if he's looking for higher quality women.

I'm all for game, but the brand of game that is taught here focuses on building all aspects of ones life. I'm acutely aware of the fact that my youth will fade one day and i better damn well sure have the financial capital to back it up.

Women, fame, and money are by products of success. Game fakes the "success" (abundance?) mentality but can only go so far before you need to back it up. Depending on genetics, that day can be for anyone.

Your perception of life and how it works is flawed. Your whole argument is based off a misunderstanding of the financial situation of blue collar trades workers.

What If were to tell you a welder with the same age and experience as you can easily make twice as much as you? How about a plumber that can pull 6 figures? An electrician that can top that. All jobs that can be do into retirement age.

Hey news flash brother, the rest of America isn't like the oil sands. Besides, the point of my argument isn't knocking the trades it's to point out that the lifestyle and attitude of the OP isn't sustainable.

He's not a foreman yet and in fact, he may never be.

Cads with a "fuck it" mentality while young are a dime a dozen. You have to build something meaningful (still have fun) but all of those same guys I know who lived this lifestyle hit a wall. Not a beauty wall, but they reached a point where they couldn't pull the same level of lizards that they normally pulled and when that point came they had nothing to show for it.

The point being is women, riches, and fame are by products of success. Game messes with the formula but when youth runs out you better have something else to fall back on.

Props to you frenchie for being successful at what you do.

Its somewhat arrogant to assume what someone makes or what their job position is. I got into telecommunications construction right out of highschool, doing tower upgrades for all the major carriers. I oversee a crew that does about 2 million in work per quarter. I make 70-80k a year. Thats not counting per diem and the tax write offs I get for traveling for work (I basically get to write off everything).

Construction is dead in some fields, like housing construction,, but in others its very much alive and kickin.

I live and work primarily in the south (ATL), but the job has had me all over the USA.

I think its funny this thread got turned into a thread about T Shirts and blue collar vs tech jobs...

The idea I had for this thread was to just show what I do that works for me... but its definitely not a how-to manual. What works for me might not all work for one dude, but there are probably some key points that one could use.

I remember when I thought that 60 notches was a lofty goal. And for many it is. But now that im there and past, the focus is not on the notches, but transcendance and true internalization of the game.

If I was going to a bar or to war and I could go with office guys or construction guys..

I would go with Construction guys. They are generally tougher and more masculine. Just saying. No disrespect to office guys. I work in an office now, lol.

My dad, as a plumber, earned my family a $650k house, built ourselves; 9k square feet of living space, 2 acres, 2k square foot garage... etc. Since the economy hit the fan his income went to hell, and my family's had to work hard to keep up since the house was in the upper middle class range, right where it couldn't sell, but the point being that in his prime time he was netting over 100k a year post-taxes.

I'm going the route of programming; but there's certainly value in blue collar work if you are skilled.

The problem with blue collar workers is that they think their money will stay hot forever. This isn't true for 95% of blue collar workers. Income spikes are normal and you're an idiot if you blow the money you make during the good times without planning for the bad times.

SilverBullet, if what you say is true then it is very impressive and you should feel proud of yourself. That many notches in the ATL area is damn good, although you travel so that does make it easier. Regardless you have top tier game, easily in the top 3% of men. Welcome to the board and don't be afraid to share what you know.
