The hipster subculture will eventually be supplanted by the various vanguardist subcultures, which will be composed of the manosphere, traditionalists, nationalist and other anti-egalitarian groups. It won't happen overnight, but over the course of around 10-15 years or so. I think are sediments are gaining wide currency among the most important demographic: the youth. Look at Alexa.com and you'll find that an overwhelming amount of the users on this site are in the 18-24 demographic.

Denver is the first place I've really lived with a hipster scene and man I hate it. Miami had a few but nothing like Denver. At least they make the bad neighborhoods a little safer.

I have a short story about my first interaction with hipsters

Although I didn't know what they were because most of my adult life I've luckily lived hipster free...

One of my childhood friends lives in Tucson and a couple of my buddies were going out there to hang out so I just jumped on a plane and went..

So..my friend locked his car in the garage because he thinks we're all psychos and were going to trash it. Smart move on his part but he has about 20 halloween themed bicycles and some scooters to ride but they were broken so...

A few of his friends come over and I ask them to take me and my other friend to the liquor store and they just stand there and look at us..I'm confused so after a few minutes I ask my friend are they going to take us or what? He tells me no they're scared of you and my friend. "They've never met anyone like you guys before they're scared to get in the car with you"

What???????????

I said ok and walked up to one of them and said Take to the fucking liquor store right fucking now before I make you. So we go and buy booze while he waits in the car scared that were going to rob the place...

So apparently my bud is on funemployment and parties with his hipster buddies every day and night for YEARS living of a very generous inheritance

And they come..one after the next..smoking so much fucking weed that there is no way they're getting high just bowl after bowl and bong after bong.

Some gay guy had a meltdown and went to the garage to cry, a girl asked me for a smoke so I handed her a marlboro and she says "no thanks" Huh??? She said she only smokes organics. Umm yeah...

So a day later...We ride this four wheeled bike downtown to hit some bars..

Some dude says..You can't do this or park it there and some other shit..I asked him do you work here? He said no and I pointed out my buddy (who's fucking crazy) and said see that dude over there? It's his (he's been snorting pills and drinking vodka all day) go tell him. He looks and looks back at me and I say to him..If you say one more word to me we're going to beat the fuck out of you and your friend..

There's more but the entire week was like this..

The main street in my hometown got invaded by them. Not the real ones though but the weekend sorts. They were too afraid to go all out, but had the attitude. I didn't care but they worked in all the bars and coffee shops and acted better than everyone else, like it was a fucking chore to fetch me a pint. Guess they hadn't earned enough to go on funemployment.

I'd get tanked up by 2 at the bar and walk up the street to where a girl I grew up with had a biz. We do shots on her desk and stand outside smoking. When the hipsters walked by we giggled and made fun of them. Would probably got arrested for public intoxication but the cops knew me and wouldn't fuck with her being a biz owner. She was actually paying taxes in a struggling county.

It was a sad scene but, as they say, when life gives you hipsters.....

So start a thread on real estate legislation reform. I agree that NYC is changed and gotten a lot more expensive. I think there should be more protection from the insane real estate market here.

Honestly bushwick used to be one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country. Now you can walk around there at night and meet girls and not be so worried about getting shot.
