Anyway. The last time I ever lent money to a girl it was forwarding her costs as part of a roadtrip/concert. Took her a few months but she paid me back.

I don't prefer to "lend" people money. If someone I care about comes to be asking for some cash I just consider it a favor or a gift. It's money I wouldn't plan on getting back.

Aside from buying nice gifts or paying for things for us to do, I would not help a girl out financially unless her and I were in a serious and committed relationship where her well-being and financial status has an effect on my life. Anyone else can beat feet.

Once I was texting with a girl who was a single mom and lived in a neighboring city from me, like a 40min drive. She sent me some titty pics, things were looking nice so I was only in it for a bang. Anyway, talks about logistics stalled because she constantly had a kid to take care of and couldn't find the time but she still seemed eager to meet.

Then she hit me with the money question, like "hey I don't have enough money this money to feed my kid and me and could you lend me some money". Lawd have mercy have I lol'd. The sheer brazenness of this girl asking a complete stranger who you've never met to instantly give you some money ("lend", yeah right), without asking family or friends or the really strong social welfare system that we have. Told her she could come over for a nice evening and then I'd give her some money for meals if she wants, just to see her reaction. Obviously that was a deal-breaker, why did I not just wire her the money, how could I be so heartless yadda yadda, same talk like any homeless bum would give you when he asks for change to buy food, you offer to buy him food and he gets uppity that that's not what he wanted.

Some people... well sometimes I have to sorta admire the utter shamelessness and forwardness in asking strangers who owe you nothing, who have 0 connection to you for money

I hate when people throw their problems on me like I am supposed to come up with a solution. How did she get into this situation anyway? Her money problems are not your money problems.

I would just ignore her. The only person I am obligated to please is myself.
