I know a lot of guys are interested in picking up models. Models are held up to be the pinnacle of beauty in our society, the so called 10s. I've been fortunate enough to have had the chance to meet a good number of them and I have dated and had relationships and sex with a few. Personally, I am not really into models that much. For one, they are usually quite a bit taller than me. They also tend to be not so pretty once they don't have all the makeup and nice clothes on. Models are mainly chosen for their height, thin bodies, and angular faces. They also tend to be a bit more nutty than average. I prefer more the girl next door kind of natural beauty. But after meeting Charlie the model, which I wrote about in another post, I was reminded about something that these girls really find appealing.

And it may sound crazy but if you want to really get a real model's attention ignore the fact that's she is one. Yep, just treat her like any regular girl. Don't focus at all on the fact that she's a model. I knew Charlie was very likely a model just based on how she walked and looked but at no time in our interaction did I bring this up or even hinted at it. When she started talking about agencies, I innocently asked what agencies. I never asked to see her photos and I did not take a photo of her or with her. I completely discounted the fact that she was a model and this just made her a regular girl. I don't know the precise psychology behind it but ALL girls just love being treated like a regular girl. They don't want a man to look up to them. They want to look up to the man. They don't want a man to chase them, they want to chase a man. You do need to express interest and it's better if that interest is expressed non-verbally. But you have to be able to treat them as just a regular girl, the way you would treat a 6 for example.

Basically, my MO for dealing with beautiful women is that the more beautiful they are the more I discount their beauty the less beautiful their are the more I build them up, compliment them. The old saying of treat a princess like a whore and a whore like a princess is very true in my experience.

One more thing, models usually have a lower self-esteem than you might imagine. You may think of a model as a 10 but in her mind she might only be a 7. The reason for this is that while you are comparing her to the girls you know, she is comparing herself to supermodels. If you ever walk into a casting you will understand. Regardless of how good looking a girl is, she goes to a top level casting and there will be at least 20 girls there that look as good if not better than her and 95% of the time she won't get the gig. Modeling beats up on your self-esteem because you are constantly being rejected all the time. For every top modeling job there are literally 100s of girls competing for it and they all look good. Once they open up to you you will come to see just how they feel about themselves and it's usually not a pretty sight.

With the damning destruction of Instagram and the influx of technology 'photographers' and 'models' abound.

Whenever a girl says she's a model, I ask:

"Who's your agency?"
"What's your latest campaign?"

The answers reveal the truth and generally hilarity ensues.

That being said, walking into a restaurant with a legit model on your arm is always a pleasant experience, especially the men with fat wives facial expressions.

Ye, there are three general tiers of working models. There's the class C girls that are signed to an agency and gets a gig here and there but most of her income is coming from something else or she's a student. Then there are the class B girls that actually earn a decent living from it. Then there are the class A girls that do a lot of commercial campaigns and can make some serious money. It's pretty much like the movie business. Also a girl can do well one month and nothing the next, it's a very unstable business. (This classification is not about looks per se, it's more about luck than anything else. And a beautiful non-white model won't have the same opportunities as a white girl of equal or even lesser beauty. The business is not prejudice but marketing and demographics are.)

I never bust on them about their agency or work. Also even being signed to some agency like Ford or Elite doesn't mean anything anymore. I just don't focus on it. Whatever tier of modeling they do or maybe none at all, just discounting and ignoring it is usually good enough. I got a Miami heat cheerleader and model doing exactly this once BUT first I had to finesse my way into her study group.

Girls usually start around 16 and by the time they hit 20, the industry has already messed up them. Now, this doesn't happen to all of them but it does happen to a lot of them. Just imagine going to job interviews every week for years, waiting for hours at a time, then never hearing why you didn't get the job. That's what a model's job is about: going to castings and parties to land gigs. In the day they go to castings and in the night they go to parties of important people to "beautify" them. No one really cares about them, only the money they can make. It's why a lot of them ended up on drugs.

Mostly true, to be fair, once a girl is established while she still goes to castings of course she can get hired pretty easily from her portfolio esp if she is working a lot for Ford, Wilhelmina, Elite, IMG, etc. They do get/are insecure and messed up, although not noticeably worse than other college or party girls that are 18-23 imho.

Of course, if they have a drug habit a la strippers, dancers, clubbers, etc, they will be even more messed up.

A new strategy I'm working on is girls that I know have gone to rehab and are now clean [some are upfront about that, 12-step or whatever], so they are looking for a 'fresh start' with a new guy and possibly new social circle entirely.

In my experience they are nutty than the average college girls and part of that reason are men. For example, that Miami heat cheerleader ex-bf burned down her house with her family in it! They were able to escape but that left a huge impact on her. Also I didn't tell everything Charlie told me. Looking back, I have never met a pro model that I wanted to have as a girlfriend.

When it comes to sex, it all comes down to the individual girl. The only generalizations you can make are about cultures e.g. Brasil. A model can be very good or very bad it depends on the girl. In my experience a girl's sexuality is pretty much formed by the time she's 16. Whatever she does for a living doesn't really affect it. You can rate her sexuality like her beauty from 1 - 10 and whatever it is by the time she's 16 it won't change much after that. So a girl that's very sexual at 16 will be sexual whether she's a model or an accountant. And once you get a sexual girl in the sack she will usually be good.

How can you tell if a girl is very sexual? Interact with her in a sexual manner and she how she reacts. Charlie told me upfront that she's not very sexual. She thought that Brasilian girls were too sexual for example. I had another model told me she was asexual. I didn't even know what that word was until she told me it. I had to look it up. Then I have had other models that were very sexual. With that said, the more beautiful the girl, regardless of if she' model, she knows the less she has to work on any level with men. Her beauty will compensate for a lot of things with a lot of men. So if you have a 6 and a 9 that both don't like sex, the 6 will at least work harder to please you because she knows she is not as good looking but this is different than a girl who is sexual.

The look that comes over their face when those questions come up is priceless. Most of the girls that claim they are "models" have nothing more in their book than some photoshopped pics that a chump took with his new SLR thinking he would snap his way into the pussy. At best they were on the event card for "Two Dollar Tuesdays" a promoter passed out for a b-team local club.

Some of it I agree and some not. Models at the end of the day are people and just like any person they can be very different. I don't believe it is valid to make a lot of assertions about a girl based on the fact the she works as a model. We don't do it for accountants so why would we do it for working models. We can make assumptions that she is a beautiful girl as because of this will be treated by society and men in a certain way but this is regardless of whether she models or not.

The bottom line is that the way one model acts and behave can be very different than another, same as a lawyer, biologist, or any other field. I see this all the time on shoots with where there are multiple girls. Also the level of success in the business affects a girl's personality. There is a big difference between a girl that is earning a steady income and one that is struggling. But again, this applies to any field and is more a function of money than her being a model. Everyone who has enough money is more likely to be more mellow and laid back than someone that doesn't. Also, a girl that comes from a upper-middle class background is going to be different than a one that came from a poor or working class background. It all comes down to the individual and how their background and experience have shaped their life and personality.

To you she may be. In Miami or Europe walking down the street she would just be an average to above average girl. And in any case, there is a huge difference between the makeup look and non-makeup.

It wouldn't surprise me if one day soon, print models are actually no more than CGI.

There is so much digital work done to her, that it makes you wonder why they bother with finding a model and doing all the makeup and photo-shoot in the first place.

Perhaps in the future, the world's most famous models will just be digital files, loaned out to fashion houses and magazines.

I lived around the corner from Elite for years, and there was one of the top agencies for 'new/fresh' girls literally across the st from my office, next door to SBUX.

Good place to chill in the afternoon. You can easily tell if she knows she blew the shoot/was told she needs to lose weight, etc.
