I don't really play video games any more, but if I'm at a buddies place and people are playing, I'm usually down to join.

For the newer versions of SF, my character is definitely GUY.

I'm not, but I'm a Blanka or Guile man. I sometimes fucks with Chun Li or Sakura (later versions) too, just to switch it up.

I just used the Zangief gif for emphasis.

Dudes who were good with Guile gave me the most trouble.

Sonic boom!!!!..so many good
Memories and hours spent playing this!...Can someone please tell what Ken and Ryu would say when they did their huge jumping uppercut??...I'll never forget I was at the shops once (about 20 years ago) and I was next in turn to play and the guy ahead of me told his friend he wanted an icecream but had no cash. So he literally froze the game while he was playing ( it was an arcade machine)...asked me if I wanted to take over if i would give him my money...which I agreed to...he unfroze it for me and went off..to this day my friends and I still wonder how the hell he did it...Apparently later someone told me he was the best player in Australia at the time...

RE: Street Fighter II
The first time I played SF2 was at roller skating rink of all places shortly after it came out. I just mashed some fucking buttons.

I got it for SNES a couple years later and remember being really excited, I made sure I beat the game with every character to see their endings and tried to figure out some special moves and combos that I looked up in Nintendo Power.

I quit playing video games awhile ago, but I remember playing it on a multi-cade machine near my parents house a few years back when I was finishing college and kicking the shit out of a bunch of random dudes with Ryu. Didn't realize all that would stay with me after probably about five or six years of not touching any street fighter games at all.

The Marvel vs. Capcom games were similar but awesome too. I think that was the reason I got a Dreamcast when it first came out. Akuma has been awesome in all the later games:

My go to characters for SF2 -4 are Ryu & Chun-li. I'm good with every character but its impossible for me to lose with them.

I play as Guy online to troll people (I think he was put in SF4 as a troll character). The rage I invoke while playing & beating others is fucking lulzy.

SHORYUKEN!!!

How do network games work in SSF IV (the only one I've played)? Is there some kind of global network that can connect PC and console players? If we could set up some kind of channel just for RVF players (no pun intended), that would be awesome. I've been itching to fly all around the map with Adon for some time now...

I don't care for all the new street fighters II.

It there's a tournament, it has to be with the original.

A group of dudes used to roll out a tv, those portable joystic/button controllers, a newer gen system and rock the gauntlet of SF games. My one buddy would embarass people with his M.Bison(Vega) or Sagat.

I'm pretty good at fighters (probably was at my best when mk4 arcade dropped), but mothafuckas that are best-in-their-city good at street fighter are on a different level. 2nd round Seth would have me resisting the urge to throw my controller at the screen when Sf4 first dropped for ps3.

I get nostalgic reading this post. I refuse to play any of the new 3D (or 4D, whatever...) game crap.

To get over the nostalgia, nothing better than playing good old arcade like Street Fighter on MAME, a FREE arcade emulator for PC.

For those of you who want to check out what MAME is about:
