Choose a country where you want your face to be rated

The app is available in eight different languages, spanning 168 countries. Users are required to login using Facebook or Twitter credentials, or by creating an account within the app.

After than you can choose a country where you want your face to be rated. Your photo will be sent out to 50 people in that country, and your popularity measured by the number of responses (or ‘smiles’) you receive.

One fun feature of this app is that it displays the results in a graph, showing at glance which country finds you most attractive. In the near future GooLook plans to add a ranking feature, showing off the most popular faces in the whole world. The app already lets users see your popularity work ranking with its ‘Smile Rank’.

GooLook was initially released in beta back in June of 2012 and was downloaded over 22,000 times within its first two weeks. Initially 95% of the downloads came from Japan, but soon after folks in the United States and Korea caught on, as well as other countries in Europe. The app ended up attracting users from over 100 countries, and a year later, the app emerged from the beta stage to make its official debut.

Flipped through it there are not many people using it. Will be better when more people join.

Also find it funny that it's almost a slow numerical way to ind out what countries to avoid. The more users, the less you should want to visit the country.

Doubt people in Poland are really interested in throwing up their info. Ha.

You can do the same on Badoo. Just select a new country and then submit your pics to be rated. You will have to rate some other people's photos first in order to have yours rated. It's interesting how much your popularity can vary widely from country to country. I was rated pretty well in Mexico, but thrashed in the Dominican Republic.

The thing is though that there are a lot of scams on Badoo in The Balkans or EE for example.

@speakeasy that's very interesting. In the future I am guessing everyone will be on the web so you can quickly ascertain which countries will be better for you.

All said still seems like RVF is the better place for info though.

^^^ Not sure. I changed my age on Badoo, but accidentally made myself 43 so I shut it down. Guys rating other guys photos is pretty gay. At least though they gave me low rating, so I know now that I'm not attractive to gay dudes.

I tried the same thing on Badoo. I had no good ratings in Mexico but had lots of ratings in Africa, specifically Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, etc... I may just have to go to the African continent.

Rated poorly in my own country 6/7s, in Croatia and Poland I was getting 9s and 10s. Badoo is great though
