From what I know, not so much. The overall English level spoken by locals is probably close to the Thailand/Brazil level, i.e. "What watch is it now? Six watch! Such much?". There are, however, quite a lot of guys/girls from Europe, and they speak very good English.

I know a few people who rate it highly one who worked there 4 years in a row but there will be more guys there than that video showed and there will be some dangerous characters including some skinhead gangs from Moscow so as much as people rave about it it can get hairy same as any place where people drink.

booking seems to be for affiliated housing only, the ticket or "viza" is purchased on the site. So im thinking going there and figure out a place to stay by myself. You up for some team work?

Ya I'm interested in this too... trying to get a bearing on "housing" as well.. saw some places at like $50-$70 a night "off-site"... there is cheaper stuff too if you "rough it"..

Not sure if the cost is worth it.. read somewhere that they're now saying its not "just for sex"... maybe that's just hogwash.. they should line up with the hottest bitches and bend over upon our arrival

I Heard about that place in a TV show last year..but I never thought that it was really that crazy.I was expecting something like Ibiza,but this is a whole different league.Definitely a must go event , But not to roll dolo though.Unless you r a jiu jitsu/muay thai black belt,a US Marine or something.Otherwise you''ll become fish food like OBL.

I've been dying to go to this ever since I saw that video a few years ago.

I'm thinking about heading for the opening weekend and would be keen to go in with accommodation if others are going. Does anyone know if Kiev would be worth a visit for a night or 2 beforehand or is it dead in summer??

That would be a fear of mine, but I wouldn't let that keep me from going.

One girl I go to school with here is from Ukraine (grew up in Kiev) - she said its awesome and crazy etc etc etc. I would be down with most of the music, a lot of the house. The music aspect is a big part of the experience. Anyone who classifies all electronic music as "techno" and just listens to lil wayne should probably steer clear.

I had a Ukrainian statistics professor who when I asked if he knew about Kazantip replied - "That is no place for a student." Yet when I added him on facebook there were pictures of him in some ridiculous strip clubs in who knows what Eastern European country...

so I say go. just be careful. as far as racism is concerned, I wouldn't worry about it...
