I'm currently living in Sao Paulo and I haven't found an apartment yet. This girl I started dating still lives with her parents so the only option is a love hotel if we want to bump uglies. There is a legit love hotel right across the street from the bus station in Lapa, SP.(Big sign says Hotel you can't miss it) You can get a room R$50 for 12 hours. Also they have decent priced drinks for Sao Paulo standards. So if your in SP and you don't have your own place or the girl doesn't have her own place I would go here.

Nice, I am seriously thinking about teaching abroad sometime in the next few years, but I'll probably try to go to Japan, because I think they pay more, Japanese girls are supposedly horny for Americans, and it's a nice contrast in culture to the U.S. But, I love Brazil, so I might have to look into it, how much are you getting paid if you don't mind me asking? I'd imagine the pay isn't great, but do you think you'll break even as far as lifestyle costs go (apartment, food, alchohol, etc.?) How strong is your Portuguese? Also, how are you liking Sao Paulo vs. Rio? From what I hear about SP it doesn't sound like my kind of place, but then again the coolest Brazilians I met were all from SP and the one Brazilian women that I banged in Paraty was from SP, and other girls I met from there were also giving me vibes, it seems it might be easier to hook up there....?

The pay isn't great I've been working for about 3 weeks now but I will be getting paid around $R2,600 a month. That seems like enough and I have some money saved up. I don't go out every night. Maybe 2-3 times a week. My Portuguese isn't that great but I feel like I'm getting close to the conversational level. I think it's similar to Rio as far as hooking up goes. I like it more than Rio it's a lot more progressive. Rio is a great place for vacation time but I couldn't imagine living there for a long period of time.

A decent love hotel you will pay at least R$70 for 3 hours, with jacuzzi, and other services.

I wouldn't use a jacuzzi at a love hotel that seems sketch. It was clean from the looks of it. All it matters if there is a clean sheet on the bed and that the room and bathroom look clean.

That's why you will purchase extra money on that. A hotel in this price is not trustable. Can look okay in the outside, but def not inside.

I know what you mean. But it looked clean and the girl I'm dating lives in Barra Funda so it is kind of close to where she lives. I went to another one a couple times near where I'm staying in Vila Mariana and it was R$40 for 3 hours. So I didn't even know what the going rate is. But thanks for the advice I will go to a classier one next time but I won't hop in any jacuzzi that seems grimey. Also if you know of any good ones let me know. lol

In West side there are some nice ones, Are you by car? The best ones you need at least a cab to get in.
Go to google and type guia motéis. you can even print some discounts to be used during the week.

@ Mrs. Chocolate that site is legit thanks. @ Roosh I'm sure she knows of other motels but she probably doesn't care that much lol. She isn't an upper class Brazilian chick but I know she's not poor. I met her and her other co-workers outside of her work on Avenida Paulista. (They were in business attire and aren't prostitutes lol) Also I went to the mall with her yesterday and she went into a clothing store and she bought her own clothes she didn't ask me to pay. I approached her and her friend at an outdoor music festival in Moema. I have pics if you want but I need to know how to delete them. Let me know.

I was surprised about how many young to mid twenty year old women live with their parents. I'm planning on getting apartment by some time next week and that will be better. In a way I feel like I'm trickin when I go to love motels as if the motel is the pimp lol. Even if I have my own place I still might hit up one of those love motels in the west zone they look pretty sick as what I can see on the internet.

I explained in other threads already, live by yourself in SP is VERY expensive to mid-something people, so you move on in your late 20's or when you get married. (sharing the bills) Not because you are daddy little princess, is really necessary to live with them that long.
@Roosh: I don't know all, but I heard about the best/expensives ones and the closest one on my neighborhood. As you said, this can't be a board for sex rate.

Sofitel is a good hotel in Sao Paulo. It offers a fabulous location, overlooking the lush green Parque Ibirapuera. Immersed in the shopping scene in the nearby Ibirapuera shopping center or a cultural visit to the Museum of Modern Art.
