Unless you get free flights and accommodations everywhere you go?

The locations he mentioned are way cheaper. You can put yourself in front of similar---if not better---talent for a fifth of the price. You still need game though.

Comparing Las Vegas to Colombia... they're not even the same game really. Go suited up in Bogota and maybe you don't make it to the club before getting mugged. Different skillsets are required here.

It sounds like Captain Power had a similar experience as I did.

We both had not been there for a long time. You cannot be rusty and enjoy a lot of success in Las Vegas. It takes a couple of swings to get the hang of it.

Everything about Las Vegas is centered around gambling. Even going there to get laid is a gamble.

If you do not know the rules or the odds, as in any game, you will lose. There are THOUSANDS of girls in their 20's in cocktail attire 4-5 nights a week there. The slots advertise big $$$$ for the smallest investment.

You can eventually win the big money...if you play long enough. The same goes for the women in Vegas.

One of the rules of Vegas that I found out personally, and others on here have attested to as well, is that you either have to go big, or go small. If you go halfway, like Captain Power did, you might be left with a bad taste in your mouth. You shouldn't go to a club that has a $50 cover with $75 in your pocket and expect to have a good time. I stayed at Bally's and went to 1st tier venues. Not smart.

Vegas really isn't THAT expensive if you do it right. Places like Miami and New York are much more expensive. Hotels are dirt cheap in Vegas. In Miami, depending when you go, you can be paying $500 a night for a 3 star hotel with 250 sq feet of room to move around in. Yes the clubs can be expensive, but clubs everywhere are. For the average tourist, you can definitely plan on dropping some cash. To live in Vegas though is dirt cheap and there's plenty of money to be made. Even the strip can be cheap if you know how to do it.

Yeah this is one of the reasons I'm likely to check out that area when I'm in town later this month. I've been loosely following the Downtown Project and want to see how much of it is hype. I heard he bought a hotel (Gold Spike) and just recently reopened it to fit his vision too. That's quite a gamble.

just out of curiousity how is it that detrimental to stay somewhere like Ballys? Its on the strip and the rooms are decent enough for banging. I can see where it would be easier to have a hotel room wherever the club is but once you leave is Ballys that bad? Its not like you are going to a Motel Six

It's not that Bally's is some lawless wasteland where you'll be stabbed in the lobby - it's perfectly fine. It's also nowhere near the clubs you'll be pulling from.

So you get a girl to leave XS from you and... then what? Walk mile and a half from Encore to Bally's? Bear in mind, Las Vegas is normally a city of extremes; there are few nights like in Los Angeles where it's just calm in the 70's - it will either be 100+ or 40. If you skip walking, then what? Stand in a cab line, wait for a cab, and then deal with traffic? Even if you have your own car and go valet from Encore to valet at Bally's, that's still going to be, at absolute best, 15-20 minutes of driving (probably 30 and as much as 40 depending on traffic).

People forget that the strip, from Mandalay Bay (Light) to Encore (XS, Surrender), is 4 miles long. Even if the conditions were good for walking, the distance is a logistical killer.

RE: Las Vegas is the worst city in the United States (My Review)
Vegas sounds like a lot of fun and I would be more than happy to go there. I've never been.

I would actually prefer to share a room with a friend.

I've smashed buns in front of my homies a few times. That's how you know they are my homies.

Few weekends ago I had a girl bent over in the room banging her while my boy was banging his girl in the bed next to me. He kept trying to switch with me but his girl was busted so I got territorial.

Just Friday I banged a girl in the pool with about 3 of my boys there as they were talking to girls they just met. Sex in the pool doesn't feel to good for the record. Feels like your fucking a wet towel.

Side note if Anyone wants to pay my airfare to Vegas I will be more than happy to show you how it's done. We could film it and put it on YouTube and all that.

Scottsdale may have some hot chicks, but Tempe is even better. I go to ASU and live in Tempe.

I am telling you guys right now come to Tempe in fall semester and your head will explode.

Here is why Tempe is the greatest pussy paradise in America:
1) Everything in Tempe is centrally located. There is Mill Ave and everything around Mill Ave. If you live near Mill, you can just walk chicks back to your house/apartment. AKA, the logistics here are absofuckinglutely amazing.
2) The city is small. It is about 10 by 10 square miles in total size.
3) The amount of beautiful women here is absolutely insane. 9 months out of the year, ASU brings in 45,000 students. A very large portion of them are hot women. A lot of them stay here after they graduate.
4) Go to Mill at 11PM on a Saturday night and there are literally thousands of people out there. Hundreds of people will cross the street at one time going from bar to bar. Literally hundreds of 8+'s all in one spot.
5) Day game here is also amazing. Go for a run at Tempe town lake, and you will see hot women. Go into one of the hipster coffee shops, and you will see hot women. Walk around ASU during school, and you will see hundreds upon hundreds of hot women.
6) Competition is the weakest competition you have ever seen. The only competition here are frat guys (even then Greek life here is weak because the president of ASU has been destroying it), and Jersey Shore knockoffs.

If any of you guys ever wonder why I am working so hard on improving myself in every way possible, this place is why. The women here are overall so hot, it is worth it to put in every ounce of effort possible.

RE: Las Vegas is the worst city in the United States (My Review)
I have to make a second post about this.

Tempe is also close to downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale.

Drive for 20 minutes down Scottsdale/Rural road and you are in Old Town Scottsdale.

Take the light rail for 30 minutes and you are in downtown Phoenix.

If you grow tired of Mill, you can literally walk to the end of Mill take the light rail. After 30 minutes, you can be in downtown Phoenix rolling balls at a 5,000 person rave.

Or you can drive for 20 minutes north on Rural/Scottsdale road to Old Town and be hitting on upper class bitches at some taco shack themed bar.

Edit: Last thing. There are shows everywhere around here. Go down Mill across the lake and you can be tripping on acid or completely wasted or high off of your ass or rolling balls at a show at the Marquee with 800 other people.

I fucking love this city!

Looking back, I probably should have tried harder to make it work.

I had these same thoughts, that's why I stayed there. Also, I remembered that, 6 years ago, Drai's was the afterhours club that gets going at 3am. However, a new Drais is under construction, and the temporary spot is weak.

The crowd at Bally's was busted. Think motorcycle people, Old Midwestern couples, and Rednecks. When I walked through the tunnel to Paris, girls started to appear. None at Bally's. I want to be at a hotel where other girls are staying. Bally's was not that.

I'm guessing you're not too familiar with informal American speech since you're not an American, but dropping the copula is quite common in certain instances. Sounds much cooler and far less nerdy in fact than you Dutch (I kid), so China man has got you beat there. Cool Maybe I spotted this since I'm from the West Coast.

Example: "How are you doing" is weesh. "How you doin'" is more like it.

Anyone, this thread has already been derailed, so two things.

1. Has anyone done the Twenty Dollar Bill Trick recently in Las Vegas? I wanna know if it's still fresh and fruitful.

2. Fremont Street is awesome.

What does a flight to BKK cost? $1500? $2000?

That buys you a lot of mileage in Las Vegas.

The best clubs in BKK don't charge cover? Don't have any face control whatsoever?

BKK may not be the best example - too far away and too expensive to get there, though I could get a ticket for airmiles collected by spending money on credit cards. Hotels are cheap. $50/night is enough for a nice and clean room close to the action, and you could find one for much less than that, or use airline/hotel/credit card points.

Can't you do that for Las Vegas as well?

RE: Las Vegas is the worst city in the United States (My Review)
I'm in Vegas now, but I screwed up my logistics bigtime by booking for a week in Howard Johnson Tropicana instead of Tropicana where the salsa congress was. It's the middle of the big heat wave and my shoes are soaked all the way through by the time I even make it to Hooters, which is the next hotel over. There's no taxis waiting in the HoJo parking lot, so I have to hustle. My liver is protesting, so I can't exactly make great use of the adjacent liquor store, although CoCo's has a nice $4.99 breakfast special. (I tip 50%, whatev) I ditched walking up and down the strip on a Saturday night to take a $25 taxi ride to meet a fan of my band out at this shithole bar on Decatur where he proceeded to introduce me to his two fat friends who were engrossed with their cell phones and could barely maintain a conversation let alone an interesting one, of course he wandered off immediately. I barely got two sentences in with him, then he got up to DJ his set in front of 10 people at the bar. They played 'Of Wolf and Man' by Metallica. Sunday was the one night I went to the salsa congress, which is fine and dandy except I kinda hate salsa dancing by now. I got to see a bunch of my friends who were surprised that I showed up, which was great, but salsa dancing sucks for getting laid. Monday and Tuesday I dropped $700 at poker - some of it was me losing my touch, and the last of it was dropping $200 to a guy who cracks my AA with 27. No, really.

So. I've had much better times in Vegas but now I'm just hanging out waiting to go home. I'm not on attack mode at the moment and now that a few Tinder options seem to be evaporating I'm declaring this trip a bust.

On TOP of that I forgot my passport to apply for my Polish visa. So now I have to fucking come back here. But next time I'll ping McQueen.

Check out my occasionally updated travel thread - The Wroclaw Gambit II: Dzięki Bogu - as I prepare to emigrate to Poland.

Ok fellas, I've been in LV the last 2 days. The pickins are great. Everyone here is a tourist = eager to meet new friends. I opened sets on the Strip, in an elevator, and even at McDonalds. This is the perfect training ground. Half the chicks here are from small-town USA and eager to meet anyone literate.

my advice for results: stay in a very nice hotel and figure out what the most popular clubs are on which night, go there, and focus on drunk american party girls from out of town. simple as that. in order to get into the clubs, wear a nice suit-jacket; combine it with jeans/trousers and nice shoes: that should be enough to get in and differentiate yourself from the dime a dozen boring t-shirt/shirt guys that aren't allowed in.

one way to get a discount on hotel rooms is to sign up on that hotels website, make it seem like you're gonna do lots of gambling etc; then when you're signed in, check out room rates and they should normally be c. 20-30 dollars less per night, i.e. another dance @ spearmint
