Although I don't know much about Vegas, what you guys are saying about having somewhere between $300 and $1000 in your pocket is good advice for even the most expensive cities in the U.S. Unless you plan getting bottles and tables, $300 is going to be more than enough to drink all night. At expensive venue with $10 drinks, that would be 30 drinks. Even if you're a heavy drinker I don't think it would be possible to go through that many in one night unless you weigh 400 pounds or something.

For me, the daily FIXED COST of LV would be : Shared room at encore + day party bottles + night bottles @ XS plus MEALS

that's an easy $600 right there. not counting 'miscellaneous'. and 'miscellaneous' can go through the roof.

bottom line, not a place for someone on a budget. try panama city beach or something...

So on this thread...buddies and i head out to vegas a lot from NYC. By far it one of the best places in the world to party up, pull some young snatch and just have a crazy time. Tables or not, get a room at encore/wynn, put some marginal effort into your appearance and provided you have 10% game you're basically sorted. America is generally very PC - but somehow 'what happens in vegas stays in vegas' gives everyone an excuse to be themselves and get crazy. The shit girls do there is 100x what they do in their hometown. Getting a room at a decent hotel (with a decent club) allows you to pull them back to the room, fuck them for 30min, clean them up and drop them back off with their friends (without the group really knowing) - most women there want an excuse to be slutty and not get the slut shamming from their peers, you just have to enable them.

An even better thread would be: go to Vegas once a year and do it big time...or...go 6x a year and learn how to cut corners strategically while still getting it in. I guess only works for SoCal and Arizona, etc folks who can go there for cheap

Here is the thing guys, you can't have that "bean counter" mentality in Las Vegas.

The "Accountant Mentality Type Guy" gets buried alive in that city. And no one will hear you scream.

You have to loosen up and have fun in that town. The "I bought her a coffee for $1.75 and a drink for $10 with tip... but I have a two drink maximum on a third date..." thinking just doesn't work. Throw that out the window.

You need to at least give an impression of Cash Flow, then the doors open up.

The first 3 times I went to Vegas I had less than $100 and no room reservations anywhere. I was broke with my broke ass friends and we would roll into Vegas playing nickel slots, weaseling free drinks from cocktail servers, and passing out in hotel lobbies. Eventually we'd get kicked out and we'd move onto another casino and do the same thing. Granted this was almost 10 years ago and maybe things have changed, but we never got laid. We didn't go there to get laid. We went to have a blast, and that's what we did.

Stop dropping major coin, lose the ridiculous expectations, and just go to have fun. I know having fun is an antiquated notion to some, but Vegas is a goddamn wonderland for me. It's hours from L.A. and I can be drunk in public and act like a degenerate and if anything that type of behavior is encouraged.

I don't think we disagree. It all depends on what you want from Las Vegas. I don't believe in cheaping out and nickel and diming shit either. But if I want to chill someplace and hit up local girls that are easier and friendlier than where I am, is Las Vegas the place for me? Not necessarily.

It's not the money per se it is also the time and logistical effort necessary for a 3-day weekend. Anyway, I think Vegas makes sense for a lot of people (WC for sure). I have just realized it's not for me.

I was in Scottsdale just a few months ago in April. This is my data sheet on it.

There is talent for sure, especially if you like blondes. Real friendly chicks. It's no Vegas though. Nightlife shuts down at 2am, so if you're an East Coast guy you have to prepare to go out earlier. However, it is far easier on the pockets than Vegas. A cab from the airport in PHX to Old Town Scottsdale is like $30. Then you just need a spot somewhere there (The W, Hotel Indigo, or the Marriott). You gotta stay in Old Town because everything there is within walking distance. During the day you can hit the pool at the W Hotel and lay up in cabana no problem. Just order drinks and you're good. I recommend it.

This is true. I just ran some dates in November, first for hotel only and then for both hotel and airfare. When I ran the hotel and airfare, the prices were several hundred dollars cheaper than they were when I checked just the hotel rates for the same dates.

Damn, bro. Great tip. I just ran some dates and the price is unbelievably inexpensive.

Ran a trip to Encore, arriving at Thursday and leaving on MOnday. Only $814.

Split the room with a guy. He books his own ticket for $150 or so.

So you're looking at $500 each for two guys to do 4 days.

Grab a cabana one or two days, and it's still an inexpensive trip.

agreed on the rookie move in general, but generally this doesn't apply in vegas (provided you have a nice room). The girl more often wants to get in and out, so call your boy and tell him gtfo in the worst case. As mentioned, crash the living room, or the bedroom. The girl generally couldnt give a fuck, perhaps if theyre 30+, bu the 21-29 crowd no drama.
