That seems like a good angle. In terms of the hotel rooms, did it come off as "come visit me in my hotel while I'm on business" (maybe implying you'll pay for them to travel to see you), or "When we meet up in [hometown] I'll get a hotel room."?

I think women may find the hotel room thing part of some naughty fantasy and that probably helps. Was your text more on the raunchy side or business-like?

^ no paninaro, my ad is quite direct. i state that i am a married man looking for variety and i invite girls to my hotel room for eloquent conversation and no-strings-attached sex, but only those that i will like, at my leisure. i then proceed to challenge them by listing my criteria.

first time i posted, i got 4 replies all with pics. then the responses died because the ad got buried under the gazillion other ads that came after. i just reposted it again a couple of hours ago and i have one reply so far (no pic yet, though). here is the convo thread for this last one:

some girl: "I'm 23 and mixed ..never done this before..I'm actually a decent young woman. Anyways I would like to see a face picture to know if attraction is there"

diego: "you gotta take the risk of sending me your picture first thats how all these girls get here"

i will share the ad text in a bit so you guys can improve on it. let me use it a bit more to make sure it does pull like it did the first time around. i will also experiment on the same concept (hotel invites) using different male-type persona classes. but yeah, the married business-guy persona seem solid and i'll try to close a few bangs out of it soon.

I've had my two ads up for a week and until today got nothing but butt pirate perverts and spammers responding

But a few hours ago got a response from a woman saying how wet my descriptive vignette and shirtless pic made her and that she liked to look at the ads when she was bored and horny. Didn't want to meet though. A name was on the email; just to see if she was real I googled it and the search turned up her accounts on Linkedin, Youtube, Pinterest ,etc. along with some pics-she's an ok looking middle aged woman. A lot of people are just clueless about web security and don't even take the basic precautions

I'm going to put up the same ad in a different, bigger city tonight and try my luck there.

I see this as a very low investment game; it took me less than 30 minutes to write and post the original ads and it only takes a few seconds a day to check the emails. As the OP said in the thread title-it's passive you just put the bait out there and wait. If it gets me one bang every couple of months it's worth it

my second posting (of the same message above) got these replies:
1. one all text email from a woman who said she was interested but wouldn't send a pic (above)
2. one very explicit offer from a gay guy
3. one straight-up offer from a hooker (ill-come-over-but-you-gotta-pay-me deal)

discounting for all the spam you are bound to receive, i reckon any ad you will put up will be dead and buried within a few hours so you have to constantly renew/repost if you want to keep the ad visible. i think the real challenge (or work) is keeping the ad visible. provided the ad is enticing enough, it will get some replies.

I've gotten bangs from replies I've received the day or even two days after the ad was posted.

Now that I think about it, I may experiment with a different approach by renewing my ad midday. Looking back, I have received more messages at night but have a higher conversion rate on the daytime responses. Some possible explanations could be that the women browsing CL during the day have a higher sex drive or are more serious about hooking up as opposed to the women who reply after the third glass of wine on a lonely night at home. I'm sure having more time to seal the deal before the day is over (and the emotional shift that accompanies this event) doesn't hurt.

That being said, this all varies from city to city. I will still be within the first two pages the next day. I still think you're in decent shape on page two because many women will skip the ads without pics and (unlike the used car section) most of the personal ads don't have them. In Toronto, you'll be pushed back significantly farther by that time.

As for your ad, this caught my eye: "send me a message with your picture and we'll see if one of these days I can get to invite you to spend one (or a few) fulfilling night(s) of self-absorption with me"

From a game perspective, I would ditch the "I can get to invite you". I'm not a game guru by any means but this reads as her holding the power. She is the screener and if you're lucky, you'll "get" to invite her. Even "can" sounds bad..."can" I invite you? I would change it to something like "and maybe I will invite you to spend a night of fun with me" if not rewriting the sentence entirely.

Because I would also get rid of "(or a few) fullfilling night(s)". This scares away the women that want (or at least think they do) strictly no-strings and anonymous. The women who are looking for more of a fuck buddy arrangement will find it great but at the same time I don't think not including the possibility of future meetings disqualifies your ad for these women. I don't think you should be committing to or even mentioning it beforehand. You're needlessly limiting the number of women who will reply to your ad in my opinion.

I also don't like "semi-arrogant". It comes off as unsure and therefore the opposite of confident. I'd simply go with confident or perhaps you could say something like "(sometimes abrasively) confident".

One more thing: "I'd rather crash at hotel rooms nearby rather". Lose the second rather. That one is just a typo but it was bugging me

Got a hot lead. Got an email this afternoon with a phrase in it I told responders to put in the subject line so I would know it was not spam, so i knew it was a live responder

She said she has been wanting to do something like the scene I described in the ad. Attached two real looking pics of a 40ish woman who passes the boner test. I responded and she replied back asking for a pic.
when I didn't respond because i was busy she emailed again in a couple of hours asking if i got her previous email so obviously she's eager.
Once again her email had a name attached to it which a googled and turned up a woman by that name in the town where i placed the ad. Emailed her a pic. Recent developments regarding the craigslist con:
